This is the second time we’ve stayed here and look forward to coming back next year. It’s such a comfy home away from home with the most wonderful view from the deck.
My wife and I were looking for a place close to Boise where we could just relax and chill for a couple of days. This place was perfect for us. We are already planning our return visit
We stayed one night. It was comfortable, quiet and relaxing. Close to the grocery store and Terrace Lakes hot springs. An hour drive from Meridian.
Great little cabin. Clean and pet friendly. Good location. Will visit again.
This is our second stay and we will return! It’s so peaceful. The kids have plenty of room in the loft and the view of the river is wonderful.
Very beautiful. Loved the sound of the river and the quiet, serene solitude. Very quaint. Just what we were looking for!
Serene and peaceful. Fully stocked kitchen.
The property was just what we needed for a quick getaway
Wonderful getaway to a very comfortable cabin. Quiet and peaceful location. Access to the river is a bit of a challenge, but not impossible.
We were looking for a perfect spot by the river and we found it with Matt’s place. Enjoyed the deck so very much. Definitely would stay again!
Had an awesome weekend! Will definitely be back!
We are retrning to Garden Valley next uear amd will probably stay here.
Cute cabin that overlooks the Payette River. Plenty of space for my family and I (family of 5). Kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. Appreciated that there was a washer and dryer available for use in the cabin. The cabin was easy to locate based upon Matt’s detailed instructions prior to check-in. Loved seeing the deer pass by each day :)
Had a great time overlooking the south fork of the Payette river. Went hiking in Boise NF and river rafting on the main Payette. Sitting on the deck in the pines looking at the river was great.
The view of the river is gorgeous; location is remote yet close to Crouch.
I was glad we got there during daylight hours to navigate to the cabin since it was a little tricky. GPS does not help at all. It doesn’t even show Squirrel Lane. There’s a one-lane bridge over a river that is kind of exciting to drive on too. I was glad I had all-wheel drive, but it’s probably not necessary during the summer months. The cabin is tucked away in the trees & the view out the back makes you feel like you’re in your own personal forest. You can even see the river. My kids loved being outside on the hammock & we all enjoyed trying out the dart board. The cabin was a cozy, comfortable place for us to stay. We stayed here specifically to avoid a late night drive home after attending a play at the Starlight Mountain Theater & it was only a 5 minute drive from the cabin to the theater, so that worked out great!
Owner was great with communication and friendly.
Celebrated my son's 18th birthday and we had an amazing time! My stepdaughter has never been to ID and couldn’t believe the beauty and just how cool the cabin and location was. Would definitely stay again!
Wonderful peaceful
Nice little place to stay, we enjoyed the wood burning stove.
The cabin is nice and cozy within earshot of the river for a peaceful time away, we even saw a bunch of elk down by the river!
Matt's place is adorable. It was all exactly as the pictures and listing show. Matt was easy to communicate with and very helpful. I would highly recommend this home.
Awesome place to chill
Had a great stay with the family for a mountain getaway and was a short easy drive from the Boise area. The cabin & neighborhood is located in a nice area at the fork of the Payette River and its just a short drive to Crouch where we spent one afternoon. The cabin had plenty of firewood available and the wood burning stove kept it plenty warm. The upstairs area was great for the kids to hang out and the downstairs area was big enough for playing games at night. The kitchen had plenty of gear for cooking along with coffee pods. The area is close to various hot spring options that we checked out and we also went up to the Terrace Lake Lodge outdoor heated pool one evening and enjoyed that experience, its about a 15 min drive away. The property has plenty of space for parking a trailer if you are bringing in some toys and was easy to move a trailer around. Just don't trust your online maps as it may route you through private/gated roads. You need to come across the bridge near the Idaho Whitewater office that is right off the highway before the Crouch turnoff. Also recommend getting there before dark to make it easier in finding the cabin. Overall we had a great experience and would do it again and recommend for a fun getaway into the mountains.
We stayed for a week and had a great time!
