Gardiner, Montana
The Elk View Cabin is located 4.5 miles from the North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park and just a few hundred yards from the Yellowstone border at Gardiner, Montana. With spectacular views of the Yellowstone River, Sepluchar Mountain, Electric Peak and the sprawling Yellowstone valley our guests enjoy every aspect we have to offer. Throughout the year wildlife roams freely through the property as they migrate in and out of Yellowstone National Park. Our guests may see elk, bison or mule deer grazing just feet from the windows and patio. Grizzly and black bear may wander through as well.
The Elk View Cabin offers a spacious kitchen and open floor plan with table seating for 6. Enjoy views of the valley and mountains as well as the Yellowstone river from the Kitchen, Dining Room and Living room. Our guests enjoy morning coffee on the patio watching the sunrise across the valley and relax with their favorite beverage in the evenings as the big Montana sky changes many colors and evolves into star-filled night sky.
The area was beautiful, the cabin was very comfy and had everything we could need. We would love to stay there again
Great place to stay! Clean and very accessible to Gardiner & the north entrance to Yellowstone.
I like the location and the cabin. The cabin is beautiful decorated and there is everything you need.
Very regional appropriate decor. Kitchen appliances, silverware, and utensils were clean, modern and practical. Cabinet space was sufficient with effective bar space. Dining area has generous table space with plate mats and arrangement. Each bedroom has double queen beds, mirrored vanity with side by side stacked drawers large TVs, and closets with additional linen storage and hangers. Bathroom is adequate with hair dryers in each. A recommendation would be to change out wet side shower curtains. Living area has large plate glass windows facing beautiful vistas of mountains, river and daily up close views of wildlife (elk, deer, pronghorn, rabbits). One treat was observation of a bald eagle in a near tree in stalking mode, as well as view of a golden eagle at low altitude flying up river. The porch was nice to sit on and enjoy the sunrise. All in all, our trip to Yellowstone was enhanced by the comfort and location of this cabin to the Gardiner entrance to the park. This cabin was a pleasure to stay in and the owner, Tammy, very helpful.
Very clean, nice indian artefacts, perfect location
Excellent experience. The property was in a spectacular location. The property itself was in great conditions. Very comfortable. We were very favorably impressed by the whole experience.
View is spectacular. Cabin is very nice and comfortable. Full kitchen and laundry was a nice treat after being on the road for 2 weeks. Beds were great. Only complaint was that Expedia did not send us our check-in information. Had to call previous property manager that day to get door code.
Cabin was Very Nice, Clean and well-equipped for a stay. We were Very Disappointed at the view. From the porch we faced a large storage building and the river view was pretty none existent-a long distance away and only a peek of water between a couple trees.
Our first trip to Yellowstone has been amazing and the cabin offered a really wonderful stay just outside of YNP. Wish we could’ve stayed the full week.
It is a beautiful cabin, but if your vehicle is not made for travel down an extremely bumpy stone road, then think twice about booking. Terrible for your shocks. Upon arrival, information I received was different than what was in the guest book so I contacted the owners. As I was on the phone, the electricity went out. This was around 5:00pm. When I relayed this to the owners, the husband said be prepared. It will be out for awhile. I am assuming this is nothing new. We were in the middle of making dinner, so we lost our food. We were very concerned about other food we had also. Then we discovered once the electricity was out that meant no water. To top it off my husband has a c-pap machine he was unable to use. The electricity came back on at 1:00am. No compensation was offered.
We absolutely loved staying here! The cabin was very clean and homey and located in a beautiful and very peaceful area. It had everything we needed and more! We loved the unique decor. We would have loved to stay longer! Already planning on coming back again in the future!
We absolutely loved the property and the views. The cabin was pristinely clean and spacious. We had a wonderful time, felt very comfortable, and slept like rocks on the beds, which is not always the way when traveling. Highly recommend.
Great accommodations, perfect location, very clean and comfortable! Would book again!
Beautiful views from the cabin of the mountains. Saw elk every day. Saw pronghorn antelope most days on the way into the park.
We truly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Everything in and around the cabin was perfect. The only problem, and this is no fault of the cabin owners, was the condition of the road to the cabin (which I assume is a county road) was very washboarded and made the drive from Gardiner a real chore.
Cabin was great. Beds were very comfortable. However the details given were not correct. It was NOT possible to fish there as promised. We saw NO animals at the cabin. The kitchen was great! It has everything you could want except a Keurig. The cabin has too many decorations. It made it difficult to relax.
We stayed for 8 days. We absolutely LOVED the cabin. The kitchen was stocked with any type of appliance possible. The views were amazing. We didn't see any animals on the property, but Elk were on the main road. We weren't required to take our trash, but took it every day any way because no matter which way you drove, it was on the way. I would recommend this cabin to any one.
The property is much larger in person, very nice and very well stocked. The views are gorgeous.
The accommodations were great. The view and location were ideal. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.
Very pleasant stay. We’ll equipped home with lovely views.
The house and area were amazing. The house was clean and worked perfectly for the 4 of us. Beautiful views and easy access to Gardiner. We always took the gravel road into town and saw pronghorn and elk daily! Only minutes to the north entrance/gate of Yellowstone. Any questions we had were answered promptly and cheerfully! Definitely would stay here again.
We had a really nice stay here, even despite Yellowstone being closed. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We loved the big windows with the beautiful views. It was quiet but close to the town of Gardiner. We were able to ride bikes, swim in the river, go to the hot springs and go river rafting. Very relaxing.
Cabin was just as advertised
The cabin is very well decorated with a lot of artwork. It was clean and has all necessities for a few day long stay. Unfortunately the password they gave us for the internet never worked and we really needed to use the internet. It kept saying the password was not correct. Another thing was that we were not aware we had to drive on a dirt muddy road for 4 miles or so. If we had known that we probably wouldn’t have rented the cabin. One last thing is that the king size bed was way too soft and I was sinking all night which caused me body aches after just a couple of nights of sleeping on it. I would recommend the cabin if it wasn’t for the internet issue and the bed.
