Stayed Sep 9, 2019Very regional appropriate decor. Kitchen appliances, silverware, and utensils were clean, modern and practical. Cabinet space was sufficient with effective bar space. Dining area has generous table space with plate mats and arrangement. Each bedroom has double queen beds, mirrored vanity with side by side stacked drawers large TVs, and closets with additional linen storage and hangers. Bathroom is adequate with hair dryers in each. A recommendation would be to change out wet side shower curtains. Living area has large plate glass windows facing beautiful vistas of mountains, river and daily up close views of wildlife (elk, deer, pronghorn, rabbits). One treat was observation of a bald eagle in a near tree in stalking mode, as well as view of a golden eagle at low altitude flying up river. The porch was nice to sit on and enjoy the sunrise. All in all, our trip to Yellowstone was enhanced by the comfort and location of this cabin to the Gardiner entrance to the park. This cabin was a pleasure to stay in and the owner, Tammy, very helpful.

Stayed Jun 27, 2018View is spectacular. Cabin is very nice and comfortable. Full kitchen and laundry was a nice treat after being on the road for 2 weeks. Beds were great. Only complaint was that Expedia did not send us our check-in information. Had to call previous property manager that day to get door code.

Stayed Sep 2, 2025We had an amazing stay at this cabin. It was very clean, instructions for stay, check-in and check-out were precise. The Elk came toVisit on our first and last day which was an added bonus. The four mile drive in on the county maintained road was a little bumpy but my Rav 4 Hybrid handled it great. I would highly recommend this location for your Yellowstone visit.

Stayed Sep 16, 2025Great cabin outside of Gardiner Montana with a short drive to the northern entrance to Yellowstone. Cabin has everything you could need, including a beautiful collection of artwork. Communication with Tammy was great. As a bonus, we had Elk in the yard most days. Would definitely stay in the cabin again.

Stayed Aug 20, 2025Everything was great, all 4 of us concurred, we loved the place and would happily stay again. The only draw back was the rules of the home e-mailed to us and the book left on the counter had many differences, we were most confuse by the garbage rules. The book said leave 2 bags of garbage without fee, the e-mailed rules said where we must take it, which we did. Other than the confusion about the rules of the home, the accommodations were great and I would recommend to others.

Stayed Aug 3, 2025The Elk View is an amazing location to stay. Steps away from the Yellowstone River and 10 minutes from the North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Gardiner is a small town (which we loved btw) and there are no chain stores such as Walgreens, Walmart, etc. Follow Yer Nose BBQ food truck was so delicious! Antler Pub & Grill had the BEST bison cheesesteak!! A must try! The amenities in the cabin are well thought out and it had many items that we weren’t expecting…like bear spray, shampoo, body wash & some food items. We also left a can of unused bear spray as we couldn’t take it on the plane. Wildlife is abundant! We saw elk in the yard & coyotes and prong horn along the dirt road to the cabin. You do have to drive around 6-7 miles on a dirt road to get to the cabin. We had a rental car so it wasn’t a big deal. All in all one of the BEST vacations we have been on as a family!

Stayed Jun 30, 2025We truly enjoyed our 5 night stay at the Elk View cabin. The view from the large picture window is breathtaking and we enjoyed dinner each night on the patio. The added loveseat and two chairs on the patio made a cozy spot for morning coffee as we navigated our plans to Yellowstone for the day. The kitchen is fully equipped with all that we needed to make our dinners. The shower had amazing water pressure- one of the best showers we’ve had, especially after hiking all day. There is so much interesting art work to look at that we admired different pieces each day. The location of the cabin is perfect for exploring Gardiner and Yellowstone. We went on many hikes but especially enjoyed a hike right out our front door up into the foothills. We found our own hot spring nearby to explore and loved the little restaurants in Gardiner for burgers and beer. We would recommend this place to our friends!

Stayed Jul 20, 2025Beautiful home, beautiful views! The Elk View Cabin was absolutely perfect! Very close to the entrance to YNP and while the drive out to the property is gorgeous the gravel road is a bit rough. That and the lack of cell phone service were minor inconveniences for the beautiful accommodations. We absolutely would recommend!

Stayed Jul 16, 2025Very nice property with nice views and very comfortable. Perfect setup up for 2 couples with full baths off each bedroom. 3 mile gravel road to home was a bit rough and internet speed is low (15 mbps) but made it work for us. That said, was a very peaceful place to be.

Stayed Sep 22, 2024We arrived at the cabin and parking and checkin were easy. The cabin was very nice with nice views. Sleeping was a little rough the first night because all through the night we kept hearing Elk calls. But when we woke up there were Elk all around the cabin front and back. One elk walked between our car and the back window. That was so cool and well worth the rough night. The other days the elk never returned so we were very lucky that first night. You do travel a gravel road to get to Gardiner but the view and animals made it worth the dirty car. We would stay there again. The only thing that was missing was a fly swatter.

Stayed Aug 22, 2024Stayed here with my husband and my 2 boys (15 & 16 yr old) and the space was perfect for our stay. Beds were comfy, which my boys also appreciated a large bed for each of them since they are both over 6ft. There was quite a a bit of artwork throughout the home but we quite enjoyed looking all of it. It was also great that they had some bear spray we could take on our hikes and a pair of binoculars to borrow when trying to look for more timid animals in the park. The only complaint we had (which is in no way owner's fault or even in their control) was that the road is a dirt road with a lot of teeth shaking road chatter. But we made due with going slow in our rented equinox. Bigger tired vehicles or better all terrain vehicles would have an easier time on the dirt road. Otherwise just go slow and find the best side to drive on as you go. The north entrance is very close, just again slow going bc of the dirt road. Everything was easy peasy when getting into the home and checking out. Their info binder had tons of great and helpful info to read as well. Great place with beautiful views! 😁

Stayed Aug 13, 2024This cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable stay! It was decorated with an abundance of Indian, wolves, and horses decor. The location was close to the North Yellowstone Entrance which was great except for the 5 mile long gravel road to the cabin. We enjoyed seeing a lot of elk around that area!

Stayed Aug 2, 2024Very clean and had anything you could want. The decorations were a little busy for my taste. I was disappointed in the grill-its a George Foreman on stilts and you have the haul the garbage like 10minutes. After a family of 6 stays for 5 days, you don't anticipate leaving room in your vehichle to haul trash that far. Overall, a wonderful place! Eat at Wonderland Cafe in Gardiner.

Stayed Jul 27, 2024This cabin was perfect for our stay while visiting Yellowstone National Park. Plenty of room for us (5 adults and an infant). Comfy and roomy, great furnishings and a nicely equipped kitchen! Appreciated that the benches on the little patio transform to a picnic table and an electric grill was provided. Great binder full of information about the area too. Loved watching elk from our living room windows!
