Somehow I made an assumption the cabin was a bit more remote or didn’t have neighbors close by, but that was not the case. We made a full Thanksgiving meal and the kitchen had everything we needed. We loved hanging out by the firepit and playing cornhole. The holiday decorations were a nice added touch. We spotted a few deer during our stay which was lovely.

Maria was a pleasure to work with. The cabin is everything you could want for a great vacation. Loved the mountain decor. Saw a group of four deer on property several times.

This cabin was perfect!!!! They had the pots, pans, spices, toilet paper, paper towels, etc., all the things you usually have to furnish yourself. Ideal place for a romantic getaway!! Hope to visit again!!

Absolutely the best vrbo we have stayed in. Well stocked and located. Pond was an added bonus as we caught many fish. Will be staying again soon.

We found Woods Upon A Time to be the perfect stay for 2 couples. Old friends for nearly 45 years getting together to catch up on each others lives and families. July brought us 90-92 degrees for 3 days. No problem, the AC system kept the cabin as cold as we could stand, sleeping very well. All the beds, especially the King were excellent. Summer showers allowed us to sit on the covered porch and visit in comfort. Too hot for a fire in the excellent fire pit, so we used it to enjoy a cooling breeze while sitting around the circle and telling lies! Ha! The cabin was furnished perfectly, nothing substandard in any way. Very good job done when Maria and David remodeled it. They were excellent hosts and very responsive. We tried their suggested restaurants and found them to be excellent. Poor Parson's Pub served us freshly flown in Blackened Swordfish filets and Double cut pork chops. Excellent but a little pricey. Shoebooties was excellent and reasonable cost. Both in downtown Murphy. For the best breakfast ever, drive to Blairsville to the Hole in the Wall restaurant in the city square. In business since 1931. Yum! We also did the riverwalk and visited neat shops in Murphy. Very good historical town, source for the Trail of Tears of Cherokee Indian population. One of our country's most shameful actions. A great visit in a super cabin. We will be back! Charlie H.

The cabin is easy to find, closer to neighbors than expected, but it was a quiet stay. There were a lot of leaves on the back porch and steps that we had to sweep off, recent rains had made it slippery. The cabin was clean, and well appointed. Mattress in the master is quite firm, but the twin mattress in the other room is very comfortable. TV and internet worked great. Loved the seating area on the front porch, and the swing was really relaxing.

The property was very clean when we arrived. The beds are super comfortable, and the location is quiet, quaint, and very convenient to both Blairsville and Murphy. The furnishings are tasteful comfortable, and the decor is beautiful. Communication with the owners was easy and they were quick to respond. We were able to catch fish in the private pond and had a wonderful week at the property.
