Wooded Hideaway! Spacious Show Low Log Cabin

This was our second stay at this property. We love the location. The house is comfortable, but had a few items that didn’t work (the gas fireplace and the propane fire pit. There were also a few cleanliness issues.

This might be a bit of a lengthly review I apologize in advance. The pros: Amazing area, felt like miles away from town however you weren't and could easily get to whatever you needed in 10 minutes or well. Beautiful surroundings and great view from back of the house. Comfortable furniture and had pretty much what you need for a nice relaxing stay. Sadly now the cons: One issue that we had multiple times was when you run the dishwasher or do the dishes in the kitchen sink, a extremely unpleasant odor would come out of the kitchen sink (imagine spoiled broccoli mixed with spoiled citrus, not pleasant at all). It almost seemed to come from the floor beneath the kitchen and up through the dishwasher and sink. The back deck is in desperate need of repairs and attention sadly. From boards that are no longer connected, to just some unstable boards when going down the steps. If you have kids this could be a concern for sure. Lastly this is a con and a pro, the master bedroom bed. The mattress was extremely comfortable and warm, however and this is a big however, if you or your partner are mild to light sleepers then it could be a challenge or problem. If you are on the side of the bed closest to the back patio doors, whenever you moved, turned over, resettled, etc, the loudest noise from the bed frame would fill the room and in my case wake me up everytime. I think the maintenance company is doing the owner a bit of a disservice at this home, needs some serious TLC sadly.

Couldn't get the Fire table on the back patio to work, but the heater lamp did & that was good enough. Overall, it was a great stay.

Great place to telax

The cabin is absolutely gorgeous and in an incredible area. The accommodations are fantastic and we can't wait to come back soon! The communications were excellent and very responsive. While sitting on the back patio around the gas fire pit, a herd of elk passed through the back yard. Makes us want to call Show Low home in the future. If your hesitating dyson at this cabin, DONT! Only 12 minutes from Fools Hollow lake!It's totally worth it. Thank you for an incredible getaway with our family!

Great location and amenities!

Nice layout and great location. Needs maintenance and refurbishing.

My husband and I stayed three nights. It was clean and cozy. We saw many elk in in the yard one day and a black bear ran thru the next day. The afternoon rain cooled everything down. We enjoyed the back deck for morning and evening drinks. Love that the house is in Sierra Pines right down the street from our old house. Nice wooded acre lot close to town.

When we arrived it was beautiful. Overcast and started to sprinkle. So relaxing. We got the chance to completely relax before the rest of our friends arrived. There were plenty of space for all 6 of us. We had plenty of propane, towels, pillows, the house was super cool when we arrived, super clean and the outside spaces were wonderful.

Very much enjoyed the property and location. Loved the back porch and garage for game time. The kitchen and dining areas were very family friendly. We stayed 3 nights. My only complaint was when we requested an extra day prior to our original vacation the management company didn’t not respond in within the 48 hour timeframe they give you, more like 4 days.

Far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of the forest with only a few neighboring cabins. Close enough to grocery stores to make shopping convenient. Spacious clean cabin, big enough for parties, brunches, and just relaxing.

Property was clean and lined up perfectly with expectations. The gas fireplace inside was the only tricky part of the stay as it did not have accurate instructions, even differing slightly from the instructions sent from the property manager after check-in. The home heater was also set to the mid 50s upon arrival, which made for a chilly start to the stay.

This cabin and location was perfect for our weekend visit with our family in Showlow! The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. The home has everything you will need and all the extra touches. We enjoyed the ping pong table, outside deck, loft and the national forest access right behind the property! It is a stunning home and area! We will be back!

Nice house. Large kitchen is nice. House does need some repairs. (Exterior lighting, back deck stairs -safety issue, sink drainage, etc) Also— we look for rentals that don’t allow for pets due to my wife’s allergies. This house listed as no pets but homeowners likely had dogs. House is nice and clean but still has allergens. Despite my criticism, nice place. Enjoyed our stay.

We had an amazing time! The property was beautiful, fun, and comfortable for all!

This was our second time staying at this property, we love the location and it's surroundings the most. We enjoyed hanging out on the huge deck and taking in the private pine filled lot. This year the linens were icky, they need to replace the towels, they smell like mildew. The blankets in the family room are covered in animal hair, not sure they get washed. The washing machine is broken. It makes a horrible screeching noise when in use. We reached out the management last time we stayed and had wonderful communication, this year it was terrible. Evolve is horrible and would detour me from renting from them ever again. They didn't respond quickly and when they did, they didn't answer my questions and when they responded again, they told me to reach out to someone else who never responded.

My family and I stayed for a few days at this home and it was great! There were some things that need updating or fixing, but overall it was an enjoyable stay.

This year we didn't have good communication with Evolve, the management company is my biggest complaint, they didn't respond in a timely manner and when they finally did respond it wasn't in response to my question and then they told me to reach out to someone else so I never heard back from them on my issue so that is very frustrating. The experience wasn't as good as last year, I had contact with the owner last year who was extremely responsive and went above and beyond.I will leave this info hear because I never heard back from Evolve. The washing machine has a bad belt or something, it makes the LOUDEST screeching noises. There is no working TV remote for the master bedroom, the towels were old and smelt like mildew (gross!) The blankets in the family room have animal hair on them, I don't think they wash them.

we loved our stay at this beautiful cabin. Area was so nice and quiet, and nicely tucked away without neighbors being too close. The place was very clean and just enough decor without being cluttered. We enjoyed sitting outside in the deck in well taken care off patio furniture. No cobwebs anywhere! Yay! Couple of small things not working though, and that is the bedroom remote to the tv, the dimmer for fan and light (could not turn off light without turning off fan) and the laundry room utility sink leaked. Also, the fridge not cooling enough. But these issues did not interfere with our relaxing stay. Highly recommend this rental.

Very peaceful retreat. Nice accomadations.

We’ve stayed here before and enjoyed it, which is why we booked again. Everything was great, except when we were going through the checkout list, which included loading all towels into the washing machine and starting it, there was no laundry detergent. The jug was completely empty and none to be found anywhere else. This just gave me pause wondering if the towels and linens had been properly cleaned prior to our arrival??? I certainly hope so! Also, prior to arrival we had an issue with payment and we tried numerous times to get in contact with the management company with no luck. The call never went through and we were never actually able to speak to a human. Luckily we were able to resolve the issue through the website, which was not very user friendly. To change the subject back to our visit, this cabin is in a really nice neighborhood and it’s very quiet and private. We appreciate that! It was fun to have the corn hole boards and ping pong table as well! All in all it is a great place to stay, with the exception of the things I mentioned.

This cabin is very nice and in a lovely quiet neighborhood with lots of pine trees, perfect for walking. We enjoyed many of the amenities such as the gated porch (great to sit outside with the dogs and it looks out into the forest, great location), bbq grill, very well-stocked kitchen, and table tennis in the game room. I liked that all the light switches were labeled, and even the location of some appliances in the pantry. We all thought the beds were very comfortable (including my elderly mom, who is notoriously picky about that). We could not find any sheets for the pull out couch in the loft but the guest contact was helpful and brought over extra sheets very promptly. Only suggestion is that you consider providing a pair of scissors in the kitchen, and consider adding dish towels (i.e. for drying) and dish cloths. My elderly parents shared that they would have appreciated some closet space to hang clothes in the master bedroom, as the closet was locked and inaccessible, and an additional bathroom rug.There are some very minor property maintenance issues that did not detract at all from enjoying our stay, but may want to be addressed soon. These include: -Several exterior landscape lights are out, especially along the driveway-One exterior garage light has broken glass-Loose fixtures (towel racks) in bathrooms-Guest bathroom toilet does not flush well, handle seems loose and needs to be held down for the water to empty-Laundry sink appears to be leaking-Back door handle is loose-The singleton recliner chair does not recline - a cord appears to be loose.-only 3 table tennis paddles, so we couldn’t play doubles, and one has part of the handle missing

This property was amazing! Great location and private. The house is beautiful inside and outside. There was fun games to play for the family and relaxing on the back patio was nice! Will definitely keep this place on our list to stay at again!
