Cute, cozy cabin in a great location with a good price-point! The layout was perfect for our family. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking items, seasonings, etc. The washer and dryer worked great. Gas grill and patio furniture. Contacted owner regarding a minor issue and had immediate response. Would stay again.

This was a great cabin! Clean, simply laid out and had all the amenities you would expect. The cabin is well positioned allowing for easy access from the road way with a gentle incline to the cabin. The host was very responsive - we would stay here again.

This was an amazing, cozy mountain cabin escape! It has easy access to the town of Chimney Rock and yet secluded enough to be very private. The mountain view from the deck is beautiful. The cabin is comfortably furnished for relaxing, fixing a meal, and watching tv after a day of exploring the town. The WiFi is reliable and allowed me to stay connected with work and zoom meetings as needed. I even had cell service up there. There are definitely bears around, so be sure to dispose of your garbage properly! Bob and his wife are great hosts and very responsive to issues or concerns. Thanks for a wonderful fall mountain get away!

Peaceful, Convenient, and Full of Adventure!We had a wonderful time staying at this cabin with our family! It offered the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience — tucked away in a peaceful setting, yet just minutes from a great grocery store and a handful of restaurants. It was so refreshing to enjoy the quiet of nature without sacrificing easy access to essentials.We used the grill a few times and it worked great! While the patio area could use a bit of TLC and a deeper clean, we still really enjoyed relaxing outside in the fresh air.Although the lake is still closed due to the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, we were impressed by how quickly the community is working to rebuild. There's a real sense of resilience and care throughout the area.We also had the chance to visit Chimney Rock, which is thankfully open again. The views were absolutely stunning — a wonderful experience for the whole family. A highlight of our trip was heading about 30 minutes south to Green River Adventures, where we went tubing and explored waterfalls — such a fun and memorable day!Highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking to relax, reconnect, and explore. We’ll definitely be back!

Great cabin in the mountains! Close to grocery store, restaurants and the lake. The host was friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to return after the lake is restored in 2026!

This cabin was very comfortable, clean and pet friendly! It's in a great location for the surrounding attractions. Lake Lure is still recovering from the hurricane, but the townspeople are friendly and overall happy to see out of town guests again. We would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I have stayed at Bob's cabin at Lake Lure every year for nearly 10 years. As always, the cabin was comfortable, clean, accessible to local sites, and a wonderful place to spend a few stress-free days away from home. The host is very responsive to questions and provides many amenities that make the stay even more pleasant (coffee, tea, popcorn, etc.). There is a large grocery store not too far aways for anything one might have forgotten or neglected to pack. For obvious reasons (Hurrican Helene, in 2024) there were many changes to the local area (Chimney Rock is still closed to the public), but the Lake Lure community is working hard to recover and there are many wonderful restaurants and a few shops to visit. We very much enjoyed eating out, shopping, chatting with the locals, and offering our support and encouragement. We hope to return this fall.

It was a great getaway definitely with the snowy very quiet compared to the city not a lot open but made for a relaxing weekend planning on coming back soon!

The space was super easy and only a quick drive to Lured (a great place to eat). The most amazing sunrise and the skies lit up with stars at night. The space was perfect with a bed downstairs and one up stairs. We crated out dog on the balcony and he loved it. The hosts were responsive once we arrived and had a question. 10/10. People come back to Lake Lure and stir up their economy. The people of Lake Lure are so kind. Oh and the pizza joint is also open too. Another favorite. We will be back for sure.

Great location. Clean. Easy check in and out. Kitchen stocked. Bed was comfortable. Owner was very responsive. Highly recommend. Note Lake Lure is recovering and several areas are closed. Accessing the cabin is not a concern. If you are looking for an easy walking trail, we found one across from Ingles and it connects to a closed golf course. Close to the cabin.

Lovely cabin stay, but could easily be elevated to a five-star review. Reasons dropping rating to 4-star: 1. Hard tree nuts dropping on roof, awnings and deck on a continue basis, making loud sounds. 2. Extremely hard to open outdoor trash bin. 3. Too large coffee table for small living room. 4. No celing lighting in lower bedroom with too low lamp lighting. 5. Bed linens/pillows should be a higher quality for the rate charged.

The cabin can use some updating but it was ok for us.

It was at a good location but no water views. It appeared like it had been a while since the last cleanup.
