Within easy walking and biking distance from most of the highlights of Buena Vista – from Arkansas River to parks and downtown dining. And yet this is an extremely quiet and secluded area – It’s like living in your own private forest in the middle of a small town that grew up around it. STR-061

If you haven’t experienced the unique community that is Buena Vista in the Heart of theRocky Mountains – you need to go soon. This quaint “one-stop-light” town has deer walking through it constantly. There are several creeks flowing through town and ponds and lakes nearby. The trails for mountain biking and hiking along the Arkansas River are wonderful and Kayaking and raft trips are world class.
Make a short drive up Cottonwood canyon to the top of the pass for spectacular sunset views or go just 8 miles south up Chalk Creek Canyon to scenic Alpine and St. Elmo – Historic old Gold Rush Towns to get a flavor of the real Colorado of yesteryear. Enjoy the Hot Springs at Mt Princeton or Cottonwood – one up both of those most scenic byways and open year round.

Perfect retreat to get away from noise. Accommodations are great location is great. Neighboring owners were very nice.Suggestions: Bed pillows could use washed or replaced would be better. Fire extinguisher inspection sticker is 20 years expired and front porch steps are bowed (potential tripping hazard). Would definitely recommend to others.

A cute little cabin amongst a 16 cabin propery. Good location within Beuena Vista close to town and very good communication with the property manager. A warm welcome by a group of town deer that bed in the grass near the cabin and kept guard for us. The cabin was clean and spacious.Unfortunately the pictures showed nicer furniture and bedding which was at some time replaced with worn out thrift store junk. The very old and worn mattress with a memory foam cover had an old sheet set with a fitted sheet which would not stay on the bed. The sofa, lazy boy, and kitchen area chairs were worn and stained to the point that we used and extra sheet set to cover them before sitting down. For the money we paid, the unit needed a significant overhaul. I would stay there again only if the property owner updated the unit or lowered the price to meet its current condition.

We had an amazing stay here. The cabin is truly magical for a romantic get away. Super close to downtown but also tucked away in the woods to hear the birds chirping in the morning. Absolutely loved our long weekend here and would absolutely come back.

Great location and walkable to town. Loved having our own front porch. Patio furniture really needs replacing. The unit is dated, but had lots of room and we enjoyed our stay. Brand new grill on the front porch! Property manager was great and very responsive! Walkability to town and the Arkansas River made this place a nice find.

It was a perfect stop for our motorcycle ride over Cottonwood Pass. The neighbors in the cabin next door, Melanie and Tiffany were so friendly and helpful with making restaurant referrals and just being so inviting. We loved the atmosphere and vibe.
