WindFall is located in the Cranberry Creek Development with the entrance at the intersection of US 19/ Soco Rd and Plot Balsam Rd.
It is about 2.5 miles up from the highway on a gravel road. Set on 43 wooded acres, the area is secluded and filled with wildlife including elk, bears and deer.

You will need a car to best enjoy the property and all the area has to offer. In the winter months, 4WD/AWD is necessary in the case of snow or ice.

Guests must climb a small flight of stairs to access the property.

We strongly suggest that guests use Waze for directions to the cabin and not GPS. Cell service is limited in the area and GPS will take you the wrong way.

If this is your first time staying with us, we recommend arriving during daylight hours. The last few miles to the cabin is a bit of an adventurous gravel mountain road. After navigating it a few times, most guest are comfortable. While Four Wheel/All wheel drive is not always requires when the weather is mild, but we do recommend it, and it is
necessary in the winter months in the event of snow or ice.

This property cannot accommodate recreational vehicles or trailers, and we do not advise guests ride motorcycles to this property.
Pets are welcome! There is a $50 fee per stay.

Absolutely a beautiful property. We ate out most of the time. Everything was well equipped for us. Loved it!

This house is perfect and had lots of space. Very well decorated and super clean. Communication with the owner's was great. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, pans etc. The road to the cabin is narrow in spots but wasn't a problem. We went when it snowed and had no trouble with 4WD vehicles. The creek that runs through the property was so relaxing and beautiful. if it wouldn't have been so cold it would have been nice to sleep with the windows open to hear it. This cabin gets a 10 out of 10.

The setting and the house are gorgeous. We had trouble with the road to the house. You need a 4 wheel drive or you may end up in a ditch, like we did. The road is treacherous. The house was generously welll stocked, but the television and the fireplace did not work. The hosts sent someone out to look at the tv and the fireplace, but they didn't come in because we were not there, which we told them before someone came out. I do think that the hosts were responsive and tried to get the amenities sorted for us. I found a good book at the house to read and the host graciously let me take it home to finish. The day we ended up in the ditch, the bumpy road hurt my back. We had to leave a day early, but thanks to the generosity of the host, I had a good book to read while my back healed.

The house was perfect and FULLY stocked!!The creeks and waterfall were picturesque. The 40+ acres did not have accessible hiking trails. But that was my bad, I saw 43 acres in the description and assumed we would be able to explore them. The 2.5 mile road to the cabin was not a problem with AWD. Soco Falls is a short distance away and worth seeing. The hosts responded quickly to questions. All in all our stay with friends at Windfall cabin was fun and comfortable.

This cabin is absolutely lovely. It is nicely decorated, very clean, the kitchen is well stocked for cooking, the beds are comfortable with a nice separation for privacy with one upstairs and one downstairs. We spent most of our time on the deck which overlooks a stream that provides a serene sound. It's also dog friendly and our dogs loved the place, too! The property owners clearly want their guests to have an amazing experience and are easy to contact if needed. Our only caution is the road to get to the cabin...though we were told it was a dirt road and told to use WAZE because it's the only direction application that will get you there due to poor cell service, it is not a road you'd want to drive the first time at night, It's long, rough, a single lane, with lots of twists and turns.

Looked for a creek side cabin and found this one online. The creek is about sixty feet below the porch and provided a constant soothing sound the whole time. There is actually two creeks adjoining the property. Used the fire lot next to the smaller creek. House provided many extras including stocked with food and towels etc. internet was a bit sketchy maybe because it’s satellite? Overall an excellent stay would stay there again.
