Wheeler Lake House consists of 2 buildings: the main house and a bunk house. The main house hosts 2 bedrooms, living room, bathroom and deck. We have never seen such a beautiful, peaceful setting!!! Loved the quiet, the wild life, the water, the fire pit. The table on the patio allowed us to enjoy our morning coffee and meals outside. The windows provided a great view from inside too. Thank-you for provided NICE binoculars...they were awesome. As three mature women, we would suggest a DEEP cleaning! We expected rustic but some areas were actually filthy. The bathroom bathmat was disgusting. The kitchen was stocked well with utensils, pans and dishes. You could use more than one dish towel and new sponges. Also there's only a few wash clothes and one hand towel for the bathroom.

We loved our stay at this location. We would definitely go back. It was easy to find, easy to access and had an amazing view. One thing we were underwhelmed with was the cleanliness of the place. While a cottage can have a “cottage feel“ it doesn’t take much to make sure certain things are cleaned before people use them. For example: The coffee pot had used grounds left in it that were moldy. maybe make sure your cleaning service is doing what they’re being asked to, because while the towels and linens were clean, it seems the rest of the place could use some attention (window sills were dirty and full of dead bugs, window blinds could have been dusted) but while the place wasn’t super clean, we felt that it was so quiet & peaceful that we would definitely go back.
