This historic cabin was everything we expected plus extras thanks to our host. We enjoyed the feeling of 'home' when we walked in the door. The furniture was very comfortable and the whole cabin was cozy. The kitchen had all the extras that anyone might need. The bags of ice in the fridge were a great welcome touch to us ice tea drinkers. The neighbors were friendly. My daughter enjoyed the short distance to the water for her kayak trips down Hood Canal. On one of her short trips she was able to tow a teen girl to shore that lost her floatation device. The master bedroom was great and that large master bathroom met all of our needs. The skylights in the hallway and other bedroom were very enjoyable to light up that area. The beds were all very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and enjoyed relaxing and watching the activities at the park. The 2 air conditioners were welcome during this hot August weather we had during our visit. My daughter's dog enjoyed the big yard and had several barking conversations with the neighbor's friendly dogs. We took in a double feature at the drive in theater that was just a short drive away! This is definitely on our list to return at another time.

The week was a very, very hot for Western Washington. The cabin has the most wonderful air-conditioning system. The salt water across a park was directly in front of the cabin. This was wonderful watching the tide go out and the eagles came to fish in the tide pools. Then, the tide would come in - the eagles left. (14 ft. tide is a lot of water) Then the folks of the area came to swim. The kitchen was very well equipped, with appliances, condiments, and tools for preparing meals. We really appreciated the island in the kitchen, it created room for a number of helpers. A marvelous facility for the movement and daily living of folks with mobility problems. A great patio with a propane BBQ was inviting and used. Beautiful old growth evergreen trees gave us the shade we needed. The exploring of the general area was limited by some of us because of the heat. We want to thank the family of the cabin for sharing it with us. No detail was left out.

Perfect cabin for families. We collected shells at low tide. The kids loved playing at the playground with all of the neighborhood kids and the state park is literally right there. We had a blast. The cabin was very clean and we had absolutely everything we needed Thank you souch for sharing your home with us!!!!

The house was a bit quirky....definitely historic. There was a strong smell in the house. I identified it as mildew, as my allergies to the same kicked in immediately. I wouldn't recommend it to people who have this type of allergy. That said, there was a valiant effort to eradicate the smell (so it was known entity) as fans were on amd windows open when we arrived. There wasn't a lot close by in the way of restaurants. Lots of bar food if you're into that. Beds were comfy and the place was clean and our dog loved getting stinky on the beach, so overall we enjoyed our stay.

This property was the best I've ever rented through VRBO. Only 1 other was comparable. It is very clean and comfortable. The view is gorgeous. We were surprised to see a snack basket, nice touch. I highly recommend this beautiful cabin.
