Welcome to Winghaven & Asheville! Secluded yet convenient to shops & food

This is a well maintained, modern cabin in a secluded/quiet location. We had a very relaxed 3 night stay and went into Ashville a couple of times for dinner/shopping.

Great experience. Hosts were very responsive. Property is clean and well maintained. Several personal touches that made the stay exceptional. Pet friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Great location for a family trip near downtown Asheville. Beautiful property and warm, modern log cabin feel. The hosts communicated well and the home was stocked with everything needed - thanks for the coffee! Great stay!

The pictures of the property do not do it justice! Wonderful accommodation. Would not change a thing. Planning another Asheville trip in the fall. Hopefully Winghaven will be available.

Beautiful cabin, well appointed and cozy. We were only there to sleep but did notice some of the furniture was dated in the den. We needed a pack and play for our son and Saskia had it set up in the downstairs bedroom which was welcomed. I would rent this cabin again, especially for a spring or autumn stay as I imagine it would be more beautiful.

Everything went well. Owner answered any questions before and during checkin.

My wife and I enjoyed the peace and quiet at Winghaven Chalet . My only concern was the rough drive way getting up to it its about 3/4 of a mile, we made it just fine in our Hyundai Sonata but i would not recommend it for a car any lower to the ground. The house was beautiful would definitely stay there again.

The cabin was extremely clean with very open spaces to relax in. The deck is perfect for enjoying the incredible scenery surrounding the entire home. The road leading to the cabin made for a perfect hike for our dogs who also enjoyed the open floor plan of the home. Communication with the owners and the check in/out process was as good as it gets. We absolutely plan to stay again in the future.

Everything was absolutely wonderful! Check-in & out were very easy, the cabin was clean, & bed was comfy. If you are looking for a beautiful, roomy cabin in a serene, private, yet convenient location, THIS is the place! My husband suggested nicer living room furniture & a larger TV, (another in the primary suite would be nice) but this place will remain on our list to visit again!!!

Very comfortable and clean, all wood interior and exterior, lots of trees. Owners are admirably environmentally conscious.

This is a lovely, spacious, well laid out cabin. Huge outside deck! It is a perfect location as so many great sights and things to do are within a few minutes. We travelled in all directions: north, south, east, and west and never had to go more than 30 minutes to reach so many great destinations. The driveway up to the cabin would be a challenge, but very doable even without 4 wheel drive. Just take your time, it’s part of the experience. Our hosts Jof and Saskia were very attentive to our needs. We’ll be back!

We loved our stay! It was so clean and welcoming. I love that they pay attention to recycling and use environmentally friendly products. It was in a good location and close to the activities we had planned. I would definitely recommend this house. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Second time staying here, we love the remoteness. The house feels like an artist retreat. We will be back!

Well appointed, comfortable home! The bunk bed room has toys and dolls. The master bedroom, bath and closet are spacious. The third floor loft bedroom was a fun space for my teenager. We enjoyed the remoteness and took advantage of the long gravel road up the hill and hiked it daily.

Absolutely lovely house in every way! Would definitely stay here again!

Our family enjoyed our weekend getaway at your cabin. It was cozy with a nice change of scenery. Perfect for a family with plenty of towels, etc provided.

We stayed here for a local wedding. The home was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The road was talked about a lot in the reviews but once driven it wasn’t a concern. The area was charming and very close to the city. Highly recommended.

Our hosts and their cabin were simply incredible. The home had everything a family needs: pack and play, baby gate, highchair, booster seat, toys, books, ganes, dolls, even a dollhouse! My daughter didnt even need to pack their baby monitor or sound machine! Just incredible! There was plenty to do around town: the Biltmore, Omni with their gingerbread houses and car show, restaurants, play places... We all highly recommend this home away from home!

Wildlife to see on this property, so exciting to see 3 Bears hanging in the trees, and deer each morning as we ascended down the long driveway. Kids loved it.

Time of stay: July of ‘24. Our experience at the Chalet differs from other reviews. We expected to have mountain views based on the pictures posted. Since we visited in summer and not winter (when the mountain view pictures were taken) we saw a forest. We arrived late Monday, check in was a breeze. Our 2 young sons ran around in awe of the cabin. We noticed insect activity that evening, some spiders and ants, but turned in for the night. On Tuesday morning in the kitchen and bathrooms there were varying insects. To be fair, I texted the host and within minutes received a reply that contained an offer to have the house sprayed. We decided against this as the insects were not confined to one area and did not want to come back to the smell of chemicals after a day out. We continued our stay, but we were not comfortable in the home with all the insect activity. We decided to leave 2 days early. I messaged the host and to their credit, even though we did not ask for nor expect a refund, they refunded us for the remaining 2 nights of our reservation. Here is what I would say if you’re staying in the summer, as long as you’re expecting to be in a tree house and glamping in nature this is the spot for you! The cabin is beautiful, in a great location and secluded. Again, it’s all about your expectations.

Clean and comfortable. A short drive to Asheville, Hendersonville, or Flat Rock. Entrance road was a little rough but had no problems, thankful we didn’t meet anyone, there were places where cars could pass, many places 1 lane through.
