Wanderlust & Desert Dust: 1B+1B Near Big Bend Park

It is located in the middle of nowhere and that is what we wanted. The place is great, clean with everything you need and in the evening you can enjoy the peace of this plac and the milky way. We loved it and should we return to Big Bend, we will book this place again.

Beautiful area. Small but adequate. Host was easy to communicate with. Appreciated the outdoor area with the propane fire. The birds were endless entertainment at the filled bird feeders.

This was a great place to stay for our trip to Big Bend! Bob was very kind and helpful when needed. The property was very peaceful and the cabin was very clean and comfortable.

The cabin was perfect for our trip! The land it sits on is beautiful and it was in a very convenient location for accessing Big Bend NP and Terlingua.

Fantastic property. Perfect for up to 4 people. Nice and secluded and the night sky was perfect. I would and already have recommended this to anyone interested in visiting the area.

This property is exactly as described. The property owner was more than accommodating. The road to the property is not paved but passable. We would definitely recommend it.

Property was very nice, loved watching stars at night. Even though Property manager's house was next door we never saw him, but knew he was there if we needed him. The cabin is about 10 miles off the main road, so it was very secluded, we loved it. The cabin was big enough for the 3 of us and well stocked with what we needed. Bob was quick to respond to question.

Great spot for spending time in the Big Bend/Terlingua area. All the creature comforts you would want but none of the crowds. Was very clean and very well stocked with a great porch to hang out on in the evenings.

This cabin was very clean and and had all the amenities needed. Bob was very helpful with his communications It seemed to be in the middle of no where surrounded by mountains. It was really enjoyable and peaceful to sit outside after dark and look at the numerous stars

We really loved the solitude and cleanliness of the cabin. The Dark Skies are awesome. It's about 30 miles to the National Park, but the drive is awesome. Terligua Ghost town has plenty of restaurants and bars, and its just 35 miles away.

Description of house is accurate. It had everything we could possibly need or want. It is definitely remote but those stars you could see so vividly. Bob is informative and really nice by messenger. Owners were not present during our stay but regardless it wouldn’t have been an issue for me. Glad we pre-bought our snacks/drinks because there are no grocery stores or gas station near by. We drove to Big Bend everyday to hike and we bought a couple of things from a small grocery store to cookout at the house versus eating out, we loved the setup to cook and star gaze at the same time. It Is a drive to and from the park but what you get at this house versus what’s to rent in Terlingua Definitely out weighs it. We plan on going back to off road in the park and I will definitely book this house again. Thanks Bob.

Great place to stay when hiking Big Bend. Very clean and plenty of space for the the two of us. Loved the outside space.

The property was clean and cozy, exactly as advertized. The owner does have a place onsite, as stated in the listing. They were not there while we were, but had they been, it may have been a bit too close. Again, its listed as such and the pictures are acurate. I suppose I let my imagination assume it was a bit further away. Regardless, the pripert was great and the accommodations were clean, cozy, and exceeded expectations.

Nice little cabin, as long as you're good with simple and outdoors living like we are. Amazing for stargazing.

Clean, beautiful property, easy to utilize

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Black Cat Ranch during my group hiking trip to Big Bend National Park, and I can confidently say it was a perfect oasis! I appreciated the clear communication from the host who was very responsive and helpful with any inquiries or special requests I had. The property was stocked with essentials such as towels, sheets, extra blankets and plates/cups/cutlery which made the stay that much more convenient. The view from every angle of the property was breathtaking and I had a blast taking in the sunrise each morning and taking photos that I will cherish.
