Twa Hoots was recommended by friends who stay in the lodge opposite, to join them for New Year. On arrival we were about an hour before check in, a quick call, meant we could go in which was appreciated after a long journey with an 8year old. Thank you for the thoughtful gifts left, and the stunning decorations - really was home from home. Perfect location, walks to Aviemore were really pretty, and safe, which meant access to all shops, restaurants, etc was easy. The cabin was very cosy - when we had the fire on it was almost too warm, which given the -6 temperature outside was bizarre. The kitchen literally had every conceivable accessory/appliance you could want - and very thoughtfully some washing up liquid and tea towels. These little things really are massively appreciated, also the cupboard with further cleaning items, which meant you really could treat the cabin as home. The great North Lodge app was really useful too - local weather, local attractions, contact numbers, emergency numbers, brilliant. I booked Twa Hoots again for New Year this year. We didn't want to leave, excellent value, superb location, and a really quality lodge - thank you.

The lodge on the surface is nice, cosy and welcoming, wouldn’t like to stay there in the summer as it gets very little natural sunlight, but for a winter or Autumn break it was totally fine.

A cosy lodge, great location a short walk to the Old Bridge Inn and another few minutes to the main st. Had everything you need for a short stay but any longer and I think we would have found it too small. Would benefit from an upgrade to the bathroom. No wifi which I didn’t personally mind.couldn’t work the fire but got a quick response from the owner with a helpfulVideo.

The Cabin was ever so sweet, all decorated for Santa coming, very comfortable, clean and cosy. We did enjoy our stay. We did have a problem on Xmas eve when the remote control for fire would not work, my daughters went out and purchased a battery and all was good ... then on boxing day evening we tired to turn fire down and the remote would not work again! we could not understand why this happened as we had only just replaced battery... not knowing what to do we tired to call housekeeping and maintenance ... we could not get an answer... we tired batteries that were in the drawer , eventually found one that did work, so many did not work ... we put fire off and we were frightened to put it back on incase this happened again. Maybe someone should address this as when we could not get the fire to turn down or off, we really did not know what to do . That being the only issue with our stay , yes i would be happy returning many thanks

Location is fantastic, quiet and walking distance to the Main Street to bars, restaurants etc. . Cabin was clean and had a very cosy feel about it especially at night time. Maybe a little dated but it certainly didn’t put us off. Very comfortable and we had a great stay there.

We thought the place was looking a bit tired in places and needed an update, You can feel the springs in the main sofa when sat. There is no oven only a microwave so be aware of that, although there is an air fryer. Kitchen otherwise was well stocked. The property could have been cleaner on arrival, toilet in particular which I had to clean. Tiny old corner shower, if you are over 6ft its a squeeze. Whilst it states there is no WiFi at booking, there clearly is as Netflix etc is available. Perhaps this code could be offered to guests? Location is excellent though near the Old Bridge Pub. For the money we paid, I would have expected a better place to stay.

Everything was as I expected. Lovely place to stay. Someone even left their amazon account on the TV so we watched Clarkson's farm when it was raining
