TURNING LEAF•Cozy Cabin in the RRG• Couples Retreat

I brought my 12 year old grandson on a trip to the Ted River Gorge area to hike and kayak. The Turning Leaf cabin was such a nice cozy stay & he loved the bunkbed! Great hosts! I would definitely stay here again!

This place is wonderful! It is a little hard to find your first time but wonderful when you get there.

Central to everything we had planned to do. Great host!

The host was great. We received quick replies and they let us check in early. We were looking for a place close to the trails where we could crash after hiking, and this was perfect.

Location was absolutely perfect for our adventures. 15 minutes from ZipLine, kayak underground, via Ferrata, and various hikes in Daniel Boone forest. Cabin was cozy, clean, very comfortable and had everything necessary. Becky and Jeff were easy to reach and responded quickly to any questions.

From the get-go, the owners were quick to respond to any questions we had. We arrived at our cabin and it was spotless! Much cleaner than any hotel I’ve ever stayed in! The beds were comfortable and perfect after a day of sightseeing and hiking. Everything you could need is provided for you- dishes, silverware, towels, firewood, etc. The owners really go above and beyond for their guests. I really wish we would have stayed longer than we did. It was a home away from home for us for three days and perfect for our getaway in the Red River Gorge Geological Area.

This is not for the cabin we rented, which was not satisfactory, but for the amenities in the general area. We submitted a separate review for the cabin we used for lodging.

Nice place! Well maintained and quiet. Close to food and hiking trails!

It was very, very clean and is great if you just want to hike all day and just need a place to shower and sleep. It has a small frig and a microwave, but unless you want to hang outside, there's no where to sit except on a bar stool for the table. The bed barely fits in the bedroom so no side tables to put drinks or your glasses and no lamps. It was very hot when we were there so sitting outside was unbearable. It is also close to a busy road so traffic noise that wasn't too bad at night.

Very nice and clean cabin. Very friendly host who added some nice gifts for us. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location for hiking

Cabin was perfect for what we needed, we had a lot of scheduled activities, just needed a comfortable place to sleep, close by. Nice cabin, worked out perfect.

Great location, in the middle of everything we wanted to do. Was clean and had everything we needed. Will be back with friends this fall.

Cozy Cabin was perfect for our reconnaissance trip for a fall group hiking trip. The linens provided are very nice. The bed is comfortable and room is very quiet. The kitchen is big enough for a quick breakfast or light evening meal. The location of the cabin was so convenient to Natural Bridge, Red River Gorge and Clifty Wilderness. For the more adventurous outdoor enthusiasts zip lining, rafting and kayaking is close by. A variety of restaurants are nearby. Had a great pizza at Miguel’s. Our host Becky was very responsive to all our questions. For EV drivers there is a charger at the Red River visitor center and Red River Gorge Zipline. We recommend staying here if you are in the Red River Gorge area for all the outdoor activities.

The unit was exactly what I was expecting. Tidy and perfect for my mom/kid trip. Very fortunate to have a great weather as it is a very compact unit , we were only really there to sleep. Beds were very comfortable, and my kids fought over turns in the top bunk. Great communication from the host prior to my arrival.

Cozy. The best laid out 300 square feet that I've ever stayed in. The craftsmanship is spectacular and very well done.

The cabin is quaint yet well kept and stocked with essentials. It also comes with a few books and games to play. We came here for a peaceful weekend getaway and it was perfect. There’s also plenty of chairs, hammocks, fire pits and a grill out back for use. The manager seemed very friendly and was communicative. We will certainly stay here again!

Did not get to meet Becky but every time I text her, she was prompt answering me back and very helpful. Seem to be a very nice lady. Never had any contact with Jeff. The place was neat. Everything was there that I needed. I will definitely come back again.

The property owners were very communicative days before we even entered the property. Because of them, we felt very comfortable in an area we’ve never been. The cabin was very clean with plenty of amenities to suit many needs. Propane was also provided for the grill! Highly recommend!

Nice and accommodating

There are 4 units in this lodge. Great exterior porches and green space with picnic tables rockers grills etc. Would be super for a group! My unit was smaller, more of an efficiency but great communication and well appointed. Outdoor space made it perfect.

Becky was excellent and met us there

This cottage cabin is so adorable. And completely applied with kitchen bedroom accommodations, as well as games and books to play and wonderful indoor outdoor cooking accessories, very modest, but absolutely darling interior design and thoughtfully accommodated my husband and I with everything we needed for three days stay. Thank you so much to the host and hostess for a really beautiful place to stay while we were visiting this amazing region of Kentucky. Will definitely come back.

So lovely for our stay. FYI for those with disabilities there is a step up into the bathroom. But overall amazing place to stay would for sure come again.

The property and cabin were perfect! The place was very clean, cozy and comfortable. The owners were very nice, accommodating and had great communication with me regarding my stay. This was a great little place to stay for a hiking trip. It was clean and comfortable. If you’re looking to hang out inside, it may not be the place for you, but it was a perfect place to rest after spending the day outside. It’s inside a large privacy fence, so views aren’t great, but they’ve done a good job making the interior of the enclosed space feel welcoming with landscaping, fire pits and hammocks.

This place is good if you plan on being out adventuring and exploring all day and just need a place to sleep and shower. It is small so there isn't really a place to just hang out inside but it is a really good value with all the amenities you need. The cabin is close to pretty much anywhere you want to go in the Red.

Becky was great and very helpful and caring. The cabin is cozy and clean. We were so glad that our two golden retrievers were welcomed!

The cabin was clean and tastefully decorated. It had everything we needed for our weekend getaway. It is centrally located to the hiking and kayaking we were in the area for. Great place, great hosts.
