To say this was by far the best property I have ever booked is an understatement. It was beautiful and fully stocked with anything you could possibly need! The cleanliness was impeccable! You can tell that these owners love and care for this property! We plan to come back for an extended stay.

This was our second experience with Freedom Cabin and it certainly will not be the last. We live in a secluded wooded area and most people would ask, why go to a place you already have? Simple. It isn't home and I am not looking around at what has to be done. Instead, I am fishing, sitting on the back deck reading a book, or just listening to the quiet. Yesterday, I saw a juvenile Bald Eagle in one of the trees near the front pond. I took time to visit local businesses. I can only say one thing about the owners. Lincoln and Joanna, ok maybe more, responsive, caring, friendly. It is like speaking to family members who really like you.If you are reading reviews to determine if this is a place you want to go, just stop, book the time you want before it is gone.

Property was advertised as suitable for 7 people. (Not so). We were party of 4. One downstairs bedroom was suitable for 2 adults. The upstairs bedroom was converted attic space with opening that had no railing or means for support to get into room. I was the only one physically able to climb into space after crawling away from opening. It was unsafe. I don’t understand how it passed code and suspect it did not. Dead dried flowers and clutter was everywhere. Seating in great room was one sofa and a chair. Others had to use dining chairs. Cabin stocked with leftover condiments and old spices. Tripping hazards everywhere such as raised tile under heater and throw rugs. Raised door sills as well. Too many undesirable issues to mention. I would not recommend this place that looks good online but sits right at main highway. Grass was not cut. Owner said because of rain (it did not rain the whole 3 days). Front door lock malfunctioned. This experience makes me want never to book a VRBO again. Apparently they are not well screened.

. Freedom Cabin met all our hopes and dreams. The remote cabin provided us with time to escape and reconnect.A weekend away with no plans or expectations. Wiifii was spotty but really was fine with that.Don't worry about packing everything including the kitchen sink because they have thought of it all. Even some things you didn't think you would need like a pinch of a certain spice or a crockpot for the mulled wine to simmer in.The ZenDen will take you away to a dream land far away. Relax and unwind in the sauna after an amazing hike on a near off trail.Fido will enjoy every moment as well. Lots of room to roam and enjoy some new scents and smells. We had a great time just being together. The cabin has everything and more just open the door. Book it, don't wait.

It was a nice place to stay and had lots of little extras we haven't seen at some other VRBOs. They had everything you could think of. The book with the instructions for things was a little hidden as it was opened to reviews and thought that was all it was until we started flipping through it. One thing we weren't expecting was being right on the road, but it was minimal traffic. They had a duck on site that would follow you around and he was great entertainment for our sons. They had fishing gear available and we were able to catch several fish. It's a little far to Acadia (where we went one day), but is somewhat centrally located if seeing several sites in the area - Belfast and Moosehead railroad, Stone Tree Farm and Cidery, Fort Knox. Overall it was a very peaceful place and we would love to go back.

From the minute we walked in the front door, it felt like home. The hosts, Joanna & Lincoln are wonderful. They provided so many extras that were very much appreciated. They worked hard renovating the cabin and have truly provided a peaceful and cozy getaway. You will love the rainfall shower, the Zen Den, the two ponds, and so much more. We enjoyed our stay so much that we did not want to leave. Another favorite was the duck. He will eat out of your hand and follow you everywhere. You can find the cabin on Facebook under Freedom Cabin.

We had a lovely time in the cabin! The grounds were beautiful, the ponds stocked with trout for fishing! We watched a beaver swimming on the pond and heard birds and moose at night. The fire pit was great for s'mores. The house was fully stocked with everything you need, and had plenty of extra towels, blankets, china and silverware. The decor was really beautiful. We all enjoyed the rainfall shower. It was perfect for a quiet secluded vacation, but also only a 15 minute drive to Tobey's where we stocked up on groceries and frequently bought pastries. Cell signal was a bit weak for us (Verizon) in the cabin, but there was wifi available and a smart TV with Netflix, HBO, etc. The owners have definitely done a lot to make this cabin beautiful and welcoming and communication with them was great. They were very solicitous and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone ! Perfect for a family vacation!
