The outdoor tv and grill area was a hit with the older kids, it was a bit cold for us older folks. All in all it was a great place and the water right out of the sink is delicious. I posted pics on facebook and people are wanting the rental info.

The cabin was wonderful, clean, accommodated her dogs, and I cannot say enough about the look and feel of the cabin and the grounds. It was the most positive experience.

The house is beautiful, the kitchen so well equipped. I spent hours on the screened in porch with my two golden retriever’s. The yard is great for throwing ball, the fenced in are is large and so convenient, but the was fabulous!!! There were two sets of steps to the creek and the water was perfect!! There were very calm spots for my more senior golden to play ball, but also great moving water that allowed my younger golden so fetch the ball and swim like a little fish. It was so quiet and the neighbors are far enough away, that you really don’t notice anyone is nearby. The thought and care the owners and Sliding Rock have put onto Trout Haven was second to none! We will back during the Christmas holidays and I am counting the days already!I have been staying at Sliding Rock properties for over 20 years and have never been disappointed!Thank you to the owners for sharing their beautiful home!Ollie, Wyatt and I had the most wonderful and bonding time!!

The hot tub was a hit with everyone. Especially liked that Wal-Mart delivered to the cabin. Truly a great vacation and will use sliding rock again.

The creek is most impressive with the roaring sounds of water flowing rapidly pass the area and you have the ability for a fire 🔥 just feet from the flowing creek! Absolutely 💯 wonderful for the mind, body and spirit!🎯

Reviewer Comments: third time to trout haven lodge. we love this cabin ok n the river, and the location. secluded, but not so far away from civilization that it's problematic. we especially appreciate the fenced in dog area... makes it so convenient for our pups. we will definitely return.

The walkways, gates, kitchen accommodations, the pavilion, not to mention 3 different wood burning fire areas are sublime. There are multiple seating areas for privacy, and for meaningful conversation. The property is very clean and well maintained. Also, a generator automatically restored the power when needed two times, and I received a text from the property manager to insure that the generator was working! The fenced area for the pups, and the gates were perfect for pet control! Sliding Rock cabins provided exemplary customer service by notifying us that our original house would not be available to rent due to a road wash out. Providing a substitute house seamlessly made our trip worry free! I would recommend this house, and plan on returning. The house is not too far from town, and we had a nice hike at Tumbling Waters that was a short drive away.

We spent so much time in the outdoor covered area, grilling, watching tv, making smores, and cuddling on the couch in front of the fire! The hot tub was a hit with my girls, and they loved running around in the outdoor space. Our batteries feel so recharged from our visit. We plan on coming back next year!

We left a day early because Hurricane Helene was expected to bring more heavy rain and winds. We were concerned about being able to navigate the one-lane road. The only suggestion I would make is that the owners upgrade their router. Two persons in our party worked during the day, and they had to set up their computers in the living room to have adequate internet service.

The directions to the cabin are good, but just know getting to the cabin was a bit treacherous down a one lane gravel road. You will definitely not stumble upon this location. It is about 25 minute drive to downtown Elijay. The cabin itself was very clean and well maintained. The outdoor pavilion with large TV was great! Comfortable couch, the beds creak a bit , but overall I would recommend this very pet friendly, beautiful cabin.
