Stayed Mar 25, 2026We really loved staying here! It was close enough to Greybull to get groceries, but far enough away for peace and quiet. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed and more. We were looking for a place for some R&R with our 4 kids, and it was the perfect spot. We enjoyed playing games, reading Swiss Family Robinson from the bookcase, and sitting around the firepit making smores. We drove into Shell and up into the Bighorns to the Antelope Butte ski area. We will definitely stay here again if we get the chance!

Stayed Oct 2, 2025Very cute, clean and well kept cabin. Kitchen had everything that was needed for cooking. We enjoyed our time there. Host was super responsive to our questions. We would definitely go back to that cabin again.

Stayed Aug 22, 2025The Traut Cabin is an incredible VRBO property! The detail taken to make this cabin a “home away from home” superseded all expectations. Pictures do not capture the beautiful views from the cabin with justice. Breathtaking views in person! The location is central to so many adventures - Cody, Yellowstone, Bighorn Mountains…. Great attractions within a 5 mile radius too. You just have to watch for the clues via highway signs. We highly recommend the Traut Cabin!

Stayed Jul 17, 2025This cabin was a little piece of luxury on our trip to Big Horn! It is beautifully decorated and the hosts thought of everything, from board games and books to cute and cheeky sayings to help you find what you need. It was a wonderful stay and I highly recommend it if you are in the area!

Stayed Jun 28, 2025Great launching point for adventurers in the Bighorn Mountains. Very clean and well cared for. Love the view on the front deck of the mountains. Would stay here again in a second.
