Trails End: Cozy Cabin, Private, Secluded between Seney & Grand Marais MI

The cabin was hard to find and we ended up having to stop in Grand Marais to ask for directions. Luckily, I found Jen's phone number on her web-site and she gave great directions. Once we found it, we could relax in a very quiet, rustic setting. Everything was neat as a pin! The only think I didn't like was the stairs to the loft. When you get to be my age, you have to get up several times in the night to go to the bathroom and the stairs were pretty steep to navigate in the dark.

We described this cabin as “cute but cold”. When we arrived we turned the heat up to 72 and the warmest it ever got inside was 65. This cabin is located directly next to the owner’s house and you will be sharing their driveway and their guests cars and people. The loft where the beds are is small and they packed 3 beds in there, basically mattresses on the floor. Not much headroom up there. The bathroom is the smallest it possibly could be, just big enough for a vanity, toilet and a tiny shower. The towels they provide are towels I would use for rags in my garage. They ask you to clean the dishes you use but failed to provide a sponge to clean them with. Overall it wasn’t horrible but I would definitely choose a different place for the money.

Very beautiful spot on the lake, directions were very straight forward to get to and the family were very friendly and nice people as we were greeted very politely, the cabin itself is a good size and very nice inside it was the perfect place to stay for mine and our finances engagement we had a great time! I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay in the upper peninsula area and I would most definitely come back again when we get a chance to do so!! Excellent!!

Had a wonderful time staying at this cozy cabin. We were in the UP to see the fall foliage and Pictured Rocks. The cabin was in a great location to get to all of things we wanted to do.

The cabin was very clean and well kept. Communication with host was great. We enjoyed Pictured Rock Cruise, tahquamenon falls, sable falls, miners falls. We rode ATVs over 230 miles in two days. We loved our visit to the UP!

We loved our stay at Trails End! Close to town but tucked away in the woods. Perfect! Being part if their homestead added to the charm. Loved the sounds of the wind in the trees mingling with the wind chimes on the front porch and the soft klucks and crows our chicken friends. The addition of a small side or coffee table to set drinks on would be helpful. Thank you for your hospitality! We would stay again.

Jen and Ed’s cabin is a perfect bit of isolated Northern Beauty, allowing its visitors to explore all that this unique area has to offer. Jen is extremely responsive to any questions, showing integrity and positivity from booking to our departure. We highly recommend this property!

Family enjoyed spending time together ! During the day we went on hikes and kayaking at Pictured Rocks NP. At night we made up stories around fire pit and we played card games. Nice weekend stay, hard to get to at first but worth it.

The cabin is part of an adorable farm, with goats and chickens and ducks right behind it. Very cute inside, and very well equipped. Super clean. It’s a good distance from Munising (one hour) but not far from some excellent hiking at Sable Falls and then west from there along the Pictured Rocks shore. Thanks for an excellent stay!

My husband and I rented this adorable cabin for our anniversary. It was perfect for a couple, or a small family. The cabin is done beautifully with everything you need. The property is beautiful and we loved watching the chickens out our windows. Since it is so close to the lake there are swarms of mosquitoes so definitely come prepared with a thermacell, long clothing, and bug net. We appreciated the proximity to the trails and to Grand Marais. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Very true to the listing. Clean and cozy. Has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. If you go up late winter/early spring, definitely need a FWD or good AWD vehicle, but the host did alert us ahead of time. Would definitely book another stay.

As described, this is a remote cabin in the woods of northern UP. Perfect for a mixed work and snowmobiling week trip. Great hosts and well thought out. Thanks !
