Stayed May 3, 2026Location of the charming cabin was perfect, close to family, and the state park, Princeton town, Hinton charming town Sandstone Falls, New River. Almost Heaven! Cabin is very clean, cozy, beds comfy… just bring your bags and start your vacay! So many birds, magical!!! Host is very kind, responsive and welcoming to ensure your stay is all that you wish it to be! Thank you so much for letting us stay and we will be back… this will be our little home away from home as we visit our families in Lerona!

Stayed Mar 6, 2026Our second time at the Whitetail. We loved our stay again. We enjoyed the cozy fireplace and swinging on the porch. So convenient to the Pipestem Park for hiking and activities. Highly recommend it!

Stayed Aug 8, 2025This was an amazing property. It was log cabin look with modern updated appliances. Everyday there was Deer in front of our property grazing. The location was well off the main road for privacy. Pat the owner was truly exceptional and polite. My family was grateful to have found this property and property owners. We will return to this location and make this our destination place to stay.

Stayed May 15, 2025We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in this cabin. It was in the perfect location which was close to the Pipestem Resort and the IBO Archery competition. Will definitely consider for future visits to the area.

Stayed Jul 3, 2025Idyllic setting which was very relaxing. The house was very comfortable. It was very close to Pipestem Park where we had family staying. I had a small issue for which I called the owner and the problem was resolved in a very short time which caused me no inconvenience or disruption in the family planned activity. I highly recommend staying at this tranquil spot in nature.

Stayed Oct 3, 2024My wife and I spent a long weekend at the Whitetail Cabin and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The cabin had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, and its location made it easy to get to local attractions. We spent most of our days in Pipestem State Park (literally next to the cabin) and New River Gorge National Park. It was great to come home to this cabin each day to relax and enjoy the evenings. Definitely recommend!
