The Stargazer is aptly named- watching the stars from the upper deck, and the glorious sangre de cristos sunsets was heaven. The house was a wonderful base for our hiking adventures!

The Stargazer was and is as good as advertised: it was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and full of amenities. But the most important piece to us is that it was peaceful - a welcome respite from the running around and hoteling we had done on the first part of our Colorado trip. We had space to spread out, do our own cooking, and travel around to all of the great hiking destinations in the area. And let’s not forget that it is called the Stargazer for a reason: my family and I marveled for three nights at the clear, dark sky offering unparalleled views of multiple constellations and the Milky Way. It is a memory that we will share forever! Thank you, Namita - you are an excellent and communicative host!

Lovely cabin and not too remote. Horse riding at Baca Grande Stables and sand Dunes (about 1 hr away) were great.

This property has a beautiful view of the mountains and is located in very peaceful area. We were able to have a very enjoyable weekend, visiting the Great Sand Dunes and Zapata Falls. When we returned to the property, our family was able to sit back, eat dinner and relax without being on top of each other. The owner was very reseptive and commincation between us was easy from the time I booked, all the way to the end. I would definitely recommend this property and I look forward to maybe coming back again.

Beautiful space & appropriately named stargazer cabin!! It did not disappoint. There was plenty of room for everyone. Comfortable spaces inside and outside. Small town nearby to get supplies. It is about a hour drive to the sand dunes. Just a great time with family and friends. The hostess was very responsive.

It was a beautiful property, well provisioned with telescope, great outdoor furniture and upscale interior. Owners were responsive and great to deal with. Fully recommend!

Wonderful stay in a nice home in a beautiful location.

This beautiful home was a perfect place for our day at Great sands dunes national park. It was immaculate and situated so peacefully in the woods. It was great for our trip with 4 grandchildren.

The Stargazer was the perfect spot for our large family! We watched the stars from the back deck and enjoyed a fun day at the sand dunes. Crestone was charming and quiet. We had everything we needed.

This place had amazing views and was just what we were looking for to use as a short stay on our way home from the Ouray area and to see the Great Sand Dunes National Park before leaving Colorado back to Wisconsin. The owner answered all questions both leading up to the trip, and while staying at the house. Be prepared, there is not much of anything in the area for shops or food, but there is a dollar general 20 minutes away and a great place for food named Food is art. They treated my family of 7 wonderfully! Walmart and other major places are about an hour away. The great sand dunes were about an hour away as well, but Crestone was the closest area with rental homes and we were not disappointed. One more tip... DO NOT WEAR SANDLES TO THE DUNES. Wear shoes and socks. The sand was hot! But so worth the trip!

Had a great stay with my brothers in Crestone. House was spacious and clean, and had all the amenities we needed. Quick and friendly communicated from the host. Would definitely stay again! We especially appreciated the deck spaces and natural light throughout the house.

Though expensive for my budget, the property afforded a very spacious and comfortable stay for our out of state family visitors.

Because this home is well cared for and well stocked, our stay here was carefree. The area is known for its peacefulness and we felt it. The house is located about half way between the town (two grocery stores offering healthful foods) and a trailhead that begins several good hikes into the beautiful mountains that provide a beautiful view from the town and this house's deck specifically.

Really nice property which we are interested in staying at again, perhaps in the cooler spring months. It would be an outstanding property with air conditioning added.

Beautiful home in the mountains. My kids loved the keyboard and the foosball table!! Perfect one hour trip to the sand dunes. If you have small kids be aware that there are about three stairs in the home without a railing (was fine for my kids aged 4+). Fun hammock as well! Thanks for sharing your home!!

The Stargazer was a perfect size for our family of five. Very spacious for a few days, with great location near hikes and the quirky little town of Crestone. Highly recommended!

This place is of off the beaten path. It is located an hour from Great Sand Dunes National Park. It was clean, quiet and well kept. It was a little warm when we arrived considering it doesnt have a/c. There were not many restaurants to choose from in the area. Overall I would recommend.

Clean and well kept with breath taking views.

This place was excellent for our short stay near Great Sand Dune Nat. Park. Very peaceful setting, spacious home with good bedding and towels. We did not know it was “mosquito season” and the swarming made it hard to use the decks at most points in the day or night. The smoking coils we purchased after the first night helped a bit in mid-day, so that’s just something to prepare for. The grill was not cleaned and no propane but those things do happen and the host apologized. We wish we could have enjoyed the outside area more but for our short stay it was a good experience. Overall, we enjoyed this place as a simple and lovely base as we toured around the area for a couple days.
