The Nest is ideal for an anniversary! We loved the coziness and everything about it. It was close to town yet also very quiet and secluded. The hot tub worked great, and it was awesome to have a working gas grill. Big thanks to Marisa and the Wildland Team for their extremely prompt answers and for being readily available.Idyllwild is a charming little mountain town with plenty of great hikes, excellent restaurants, and unique shops. We loved it, and hope to be back. Dan and Kim

The Nest was a beautiful gem that my wife and I stayed at in Idyllwild. It was our 40th anniversary of our Idyllwild wedding in 1985. The Nest has everything we needed, and we very much enjoyed the comfy bed, renovated kitchen and living room, and lovely outdoor terraces with lounge chairs, hammock, hot tub, and other amenities. Everything was in excellent working order, and the experience was superb. Highly recommend it for a couple without kids.

The property was very nice for a small place, but plenty big enough for the two of us. We had everything we needed to enjoy our short mountain stay. The hot tub performed perfectly, as did the wood fire stove. We didn't use the outdoor furniture much but there was plenty of it. Very nice amenities (including lovely wellness products), plenty of towels, the bed and couch were comfy, and the hot tub was great. We will definitely try to stay here again!

This place had everything. The hot tub was delightful , Hot and ready to go when we got there. Kitchen had everything we needed. We didn’t use the loft, but it would’ve been perfect if we had kids. We also made good use of the boardgames That were provided. It’s close enough to downtown and a perfect getaway for any couple.

We had a wonderful stay at the Nest over Christmas. Everything was as described and the whirlpool was perfect for us. Finally a house that doesn’t have 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We could even walk to the town center to get our steps in and browse the little stores and get some coffee. The only downside was that it was kind of dusty which triggered my allergies, so there is some room for improvement. Still a 5 star experience.

My wife and I wanted a 1 night staycation for our wedding anniversary. We have two toddlers under four and were in need of a relaxing stay somewhere… we stumbled across Marisa’s Nest and were more than pleasantly surprised. It checked all our boxes and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. Definitely recommend!
