Created with perfect proportions that feel more boutique retreat than rustic, this pod's interior feels contemporary, spacious and airy, with creature comforts galore. There's a dining area, living room, kitchen and bedroom all laid out as open plan and a separate bathroom which includes a large walk-in shower complete with rain head. But what makes The Nave so incredibly special is its unrivalled view of Wells Cathedral which can be seen from nearly every angle.

Treat yourselves to morning lie-ins with the French doors open and enjoy the magnificent outlook or step out on to the timber deck where you'll be able to unwind in the sunshine with a cup of coffee and a good book. Designed with relaxation in mind the pod comes complete with its own private wood-fired hot tub which has been tucked away to the side of the lodge, and a fire bowl which doubles as an outdoor grill that's perfect for chilled out evenings and al fresco dinners.

What Wells lacks in size it more than makes up for in enchantment, in fact this tiny city (the smallest in England) with its cobbled streets and market village atmosphere, also happens to boast one of the most marvellous Medieval cathedrals in the land, and as such, has been welcoming pilgrims and visitors by their droves since the 13th Century. Huddled in the heart of rural Somerset at the foot of the Mendips, the city is a merge of two attractive worlds, one of Gothic architecture, narrow streets, pavement cafes and independent shops, and the other of countryside quiet and nature-infused pursuits.

Guests with their four-legged companions in tow will be pleased to know The Nave welcomes pets, so for peace of mind, the fence surrounding the property completely encloses the space. There are also many lovely walks in the area for both humans and canines to explore including a public bridle way that lies directly behind the field. Of course, Wells is a mere stroll away, so you'll be able to enjoy a coffee or luncheon at The Bishop's Table within minutes of leaving your front door.

*For a truly magical experience or to celebrate a special occasion, the owners offer balloon rides from the site, please enquire with the Luxury Coastal team at the time of booking

Great location and had mostly everything we needed. The hot tub was great. Would have been good to have hooks to hang coats, towels and robes on

The location alone was fantastic (in our case, a couple plus dog),set in a working farm, surrounded by acres of fields and woodland, overlooking Wells cathedral. Blessed with general good weather it was idyllic to sit out on the evening and just chill. Wells was a really lovely city, spectacular cathedral and Bishops Palace. Our host was at the end of a phone (on site) when required and any minor wear and tear issues are expected and trivial. Overall, this was a great short break, unique to us but hopefully not the last time as we would definitely stay again and recommend the Knave to all potential customers.

The Nave is a wonderful base for exploring Wells & the surrounding area. You can walk into Wells in less than 5 minutes so the car can have a rest. The view from the Nave is exceptional & we even watched hares play fighting on our first morning. The only downside was the microwave combi oven was not working but on contacting the owner this was replaced on the day we left. We will certainly be visiting again to enjoy the view & take our dog on some more of the local walks.

This was the first time that myself and my partner had been here. We also brought our puppy with us. The location Was beautiful. It had a stunning scenery, it was peaceful. There was places nearby where we could walk our dog. He absolutely loves being outside. We like how the glamping pod had an enclosed garden. This is peace of mind knowing our dog would not escape. Upon arriving to our property, it was clean and tidy. There was a lovely gesture of condiments and Prosecco. We had to make a few calls to our people dealing with the holiday. This was just to provide more logs for the hot tub and to just sort out the water issue, again the customer service was excellent. There was no waiting around they would arrive promptly and do what they needed to do. The only thing I found was that there is very little storage and I feel some more would be ideal, I found that the mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable! We would wake up with back pain most mornings, and actually left a night earlier which was a-shame. This was because we couldn’t do another night on the bed. The sofa wasn’t overly comfortable either. It was very hard and lumpy. I think the value of money is well worth it and we would definitely look at returning but I do think improvements for storage, mattress and sofa bed is required. The only other issue was the grass it was really overgrown and could’ve been cut before we arrived both the enclosed garden and the field itself. The amount of insect bites we received was on unreal, however, I understand you are going to get bitten in the hot weather but it would’ve helped if the grass was cut.

The Nave is in a really peaceful location, all you can hear are the bells from Wells Cathedral. Our pod was well equipped, had a comfortable bed and a lovely large walk in shower. The wood fired hot tub was easy to keep warm and we also made good use of the fire pit/ barbecue, and there was a good stock of wood. We will definitely return.

The Nave is situated very close to the centre of Wells and has fantastic views of the Cathedral and surrounding countryside. Having the fields nearby and taking our dog proved to be popular and having everything on our doorstep meant we could park up and walk wherever we needed to go. The Nave is well equipped and has a lovely wood burning tub outside which we were still able to use, even in the rain. The enclosed space meant our dog could be let out without the need to worry and even this area is well furnished, which I imagine will be perfect for the Summer season. For anyone looking to explore Wells and the surrounding areas, I would highly recommend this as a base as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
