Cabin was as described. Has everything you would need and very clean. The secluded location gives great views of the mountains and access to multiple things to do. Being able to park in a garage is a huge plus when trying to pack up for home when it’s 17 degrees and 30-40mph winds!! Howard was very quick to respond and made sure everything was as expected. We plan on returning, but when it’s warmer!!

The property was exactly as pictured and described. The cabin was clean and comfy. An amazing big kitchen, and even more cookware and appliances than we could use! Pool table and sauna were fantastic extra touches. The hot tub was amazing! Nice and secluded with fantastic views! Thank you, Howard, for being such a great host!

The listing claimed the property was handicapped accessible and had an elevator. Not only did it not have an elevator but you had to climb almost 25 stairs to get to the main living area. My wife recently had knee replacement surgery and the stairs were very hard on her. The dishwasher did not work, the igniter on the BBQ grill didn’t work, I had to buy a long lighter and lift the grates off to light it. The cabin was very dirty, dog hair all over the floor. It also had ants crawling around everywhere, was not happy at all.

Yes, it really does look like it does in the pictures. What an incredible location for this great place to stay. My wife and I stayed for a short break. 4-wheel drive is recommended for the 'adventurous' drive up to the house, but once you are at the top of the mountain, the views are unparalleled. We want to go again!

This was our first visit to this area. We chose this house for the amazing views, and it did not disappoint! There was a 1.6 mile gravel road to the house, it was a little bumpy, but not steep. Very quiet and secluded location, once off the gravel road it was only a few minutes to town. The porch was a really nice feature, the house was clean and well stocked.

Spacious living area and kitchen, big bedroom, nicely appointed and equipped - great big porch with hot tub and great long-range view. We had unfortunate weather so we couldn't fully enjoy the porch and hot tub but that was our bad luck. The place feels private and remote - the drive up is a little bumpy but not too bad - I don't think you need 4wd to get there, unless there is snow, but a little clearance would be nice. We will be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It is pretty well secluded from neighboring houses, has amazing long range views and is still close to West Jefferson for shops and food. It was great to be able to bring our dogs along for the journey as well. We look forward to coming back in the future!

The views from the deck were amazing! We spent a lot of time just enjoying the mountain views. It was private and secluded. It was perfect in every way. We have taken our dogs on many trips in western NC and this is hands down our favorite. The downtown is super cute and lots of hiking nearby. Howard was wonderful to work with.
