The Firefly Lodge on Lake Shelbyville - Fully Updated Cabin with Lake Access

The cabin was in a great location! Plenty of beds and lots of room for the 8 of us. The temp was a hard to control though and the steps going to the loft and to the basement were pretty steep. Overall if was a fun choice for our weekend.

Excellent place and we had an awesome time there! Host was very easy to communicate with and the house was clean.

The house was awesome and the updates look great. We appreciate the 3rd bathroom and the bar setup in the basement is very nice.

Great cabin, plenty of room to spread out , lots to do. Beautifully decorated, scenic location and conveniently located near other activities.

We have stayed at the Firefly a few times now and it never disappoints! There is so much room for everyone to have their own space, which is nice when you are with the whole family. It is totally sucluded which is amazing. They provide everything you need for a comfortable stay, all you need to bring is groceries ans beach towels:)

Overall this property served our family well. There was plenty of space inside and outside for everyone. The grill does not work. The fire pit is rusted out on the bottom. The floors creek like crazy. Other than that, it was a nice stay.

Property was great. When we encountered some issues, the host was easy to connect with.

Second time staying here it is a great place to get together with a large group.

Awesome cabin, great location

We decided to stay close to home for our annual girls' trip. The cabin had plenty of room for 6 of us. We had an issue but the host was very accommodating and we were all completely satisfied.

We enjoyed our stay with extended family. We really loved the secluded property with lake access and all the outdoor space for kids to run around. A couple of things to keep in mind: The cabin is open plan, so it’s pretty noisy when it’s a full house. Also, quite a few of the bedrooms are in the basement, and they were chilly with AC running. Thanks for an enjoyable weekend!

Awesome place to stay

Reserved for 4 nights for a family reunion and gathering. Easily met our large group needs. Had a Sunday dinner with around 40 people and was able to temporarily rearrange various tables and seating on the property to accomodate everyone. The lake at the location wasnt deep at all and was perfect for small children. Host even showed up after our arrival and brought some supplies that VRBO Host typically dont supply. Would highly recommend this off the beaten path location that is tucked away from other houses, people and noise. A place where you can sit outside and see all the stars. We easily sat 15 to 20 people around the fire pit each night, started a little fire, it kept everyone warm while we caught up on everything since our last gathering. I highly recommend this location if we want off the beaten path and peace and quiet.

Location, location, location. This is our second year doing family Christmas here. We love the location. One daughter comes up from St. Louis with 5 sons (age 17-25). The cabin, although not well organized for a regular house, suits the boys well.

Property was very big. There was enough room for everybody. Will stay again.
