Stayed Jan 17, 2025Overall this property was amazing. A few things seemed a little dirty/worn but not food areas or bathrooms - those were great. Having a bathroom for each bedroom was wonderful. The stairs are steep on the outside and on the inside but as long as you're careful they are fine. We got 7 of snow which was incredible! But you would for sure need 4 wheel drive if there was potential for winter weather. The driveway is steep. The location of the house is wonderful. We loved easy access to Blowing Rock and Boone. The view from the deck are wonderful. We saw a deer outside our bedroom window. We really enjoyed the pool table. The air hockey and ping pong are in the unheated garage so it was too cold for us to use those but would be great during warmer weather. The neighborhood that the house is in is really nice and felt totally safe. It was me, my husband, and our 2 adult sons. We all agreed that we'd like to rent the same place next year!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969In Boone for work, everything was neat and tidy and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend!

Stayed Jun 22, 2023House was nice. I think they need to indicate that driveway is very steep and you can bottom out very easily. Grill was not cleaned by previous person and we actually had issues with water being orange and the well pump - most likely due to rain. Location and the house itself awesome - if you’re looking for views this wouldn’t be the prime place. Was awesome that they have and outside covered area off porch to eat and gather under as it was rain for half our stay. One of the reasons I picked this place was the availability of crib, and indicated child safe. It delivered on that with exception that baby gate for stairway could be better.

Stayed May 22, 20233rd time renting, close to our jobsite and amenities. Will need to rent again in a few weeks. Everything you need is at house and well kept.

Stayed Feb 9, 2023Adults favorite: The Kitchen/Upstairs Area & Deck Kids: Downstairs with Pool table & Big Screen This house was a great rental! We loved having our own bedrooms with private baths. Views were great & it was close to all the restaurants & stores. Definately will be back!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We really enjoyed the cabin and all the amenities. We were missing a couple of things but the hosts were so wonderful to work with. Took care of everything as quickly as possible. There wasn’t any negative things about it but the driveway is a little tricky to turn around on with a large vehicle. We were close to all we wanted to see but preferred the cabin and just relaxing on the porch around the fire. Great getaway! Thanks so much!

Stayed Jul 2, 2022We really enjoyed our stay at Cozy Bear. The location was great and we were able to enjoy a day of river tubing in Todd, a nice hike at Elk Knob State Park, and about an hour's drive to bike the Virginia Creeper Trail. We had two families with 4 adults and 3 kids and the house layout was perfect. The kids had plenty of things to entertain themselves once we were settled in for the evenings. The adults enjoyed the gorgeous views from the balcony. The covered balcony was amazing with a couple of rain storms that came through. Overall we really enjoyed the home. Our only complaint was that the beds could use a little attention. But that wouldn't keep us from staying here again.
