Location
Blaen Cedi Farm is set above the famous village of Penclawdd, which is situated in beautiful North Gower coast with its extensive salt marshes and dunes. The cottages are nestled in amongst green farmland, woodland and fields, and offer delightful views of the Lougher Estuary and Llanrhidian Marshes.
Many of our guests return time and time again to savor the peace, tranquility and nature that makes Blaen Cedi so appealing.
We are pleasantly secluded, but not remote and it is a perfect base to explore the famous Gower beaches (some carry awards for beauty and cleanliness), Cefn Bryn, famous for Arthurs’s Stone and it’s picturesque hikes, Mumbles or the bustling cities of Swansea and Llanelli, packed with culture and of course shopping. The Welsh Coastal path is easily accessed from the village providing a gateway to the North Gower. There are extensive hiking and cycling routes at your fingertips.
For those with more time, our position on North Gower also means that there is also easy access to the delights of Pembrokeshire.
Easy to find property, once settled in we felt very much at home. The chalet was private, very quiet, clean, warm and well appointed. Linen was good quality, towels also very good. Would not hesitate to return for another stay. Gower is stunning.
We stayed in the cabin at Blaen Cedi and it was perfect for myself, my partner and our 3yo. It was lovely and spacious and had all the essentials and also plenty of outdoor space for our daughter to run around. Added bonus of the private hot tub to relax in, in the evening! The location is fabulous so peaceful and quiet and close to all the local amenities. Adam & Lynsey were fabulous hosts and very friendly, checking in asking if we were needing anything throughout our stay. We would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be booking again!
We had a lovely time. Beautiful place. Away from it all. Hot tub and horses much appreciated. Used the barbecue. Family extremely helpful. We had a small issue with hot water and they worked hard to sort it out for us. Only surprise that hadn't picked up from the listing was that the bathroom is through the main bedroom which may be less than ideal if you have kids who want to use the loo several times in the night/early morning and you'd like to not be disturbed! ;)
The cabin is situated apart from the farmhouse and other three cottages that make up this property, giving it the best of both worlds - access to good facilities and also a feeling of seclusion. The whole place felt very calm and chilled, and we took in a couple of walks in the wood down to the rope swing. Our youngest (5 years’ old) had a wonderful time playing with the owners’ children and she especially enjoyed the two chickens who live on site. Talking of animals, we often conversed with the horses and their foals in the neighbouring fields, which was a joy. Adam was able to recommend a good route for a local run (hilly!) and also helped with suggestions of what to do when the weather was inclement. I would definitely recommend the cabin as a base for the wonders of the Gower - hands down the best beaches in the UK and lots of great walking. Thanks for a wonderful time!
Lovely little bolt hole away from the hustle and bustle, yet close by fabulous walks and beaches. Peaceful and quiet, lots of space for eating outside and playing. Plus added bonus of a wonderful hot tub! Adam and Lindsay wonderful hosts, welcoming and kind and so helpful with advice on where to visit etc. Also extremely tolerant of our cockerpoo who decided to chase their poor chickens. Will definitely stay again.
