Beautiful cabin, hidden in the woods, a place of tranquility close to the beautiful Lake Petit.

The Bee's Knees was in a great location in Big Canoe -- right around the corner from the Jeep trail, near the large playground and walking track, near the pools -- it felt centrally located- just a quick drive to everything in the community. This place had a perfect set up for a family of 4 -- it's well appointed, the beds and pillows are quality, the bathrooms are updated (there's a jetted tub in the master -- which I normally would not utilize, but everything was so clean it was easy to try), and the kitchen was the perfect space to whip up a quick meal. This little place is so cozy and inviting, and on top of it all, there are views to of the lake on the backside of the deck where there is seating set up. We loved it and will be back!

Great stay. Only comment is there a strong odor inside the cabin but it didn’t affect our stay. Very cutely decorated. Great communication and easy stay.

Overall, cabin was well decorated, clean, inviting, and the location in Big Canoe was perfect for having activities and food nearby. Only “issues” I would note is that there were no curtains on the front so it lacked a bit of the privacy I like and would let all the sun in during the day which can be good but would make it a bit hot at times. Also, at night when the temperature dropped the cabin would get cold and the ac couldn’t keep up. Other than that it was a great experience and would definitely recommend a stay here.

We come to this little place every year and every year we are so glad we did!! The home is perfectly cozy with plenty of room and comfortable spaces! The hosts are always so helpful and responsive!

The Bees Knees was the perfect place for a fabulous mountain getaway! The property is beautiful, and the house is nicely furnished, very clean, and well-maintained. The hosts were very friendly and provided everything we needed for an effortless and relaxing vacation. There is so much to do in the area. I highly recommend The Bee Knees!

Appreciated the light colored decor. I have advanced macular degeneration, so the decor was perfect for me. Our adult daughter helped us with all the remotes. She wants to return with her husband and explore more of the trails. Loved the sectional and all the textures. Would have preferred fewerSmall decor items and pillows. Almost felt like an uninvited guest, as there was little opportunity to set my things down.Funny, I loved the coasters, and have ordered a set from eBay with my daughter’s help. Hope to return.

We absolutely loved staying here!! My husband played golf one morning and had a blast doing that. My only tip is to grab water bottles or jugs on your way in if you like filtered drinking water (the fridge doesn’t have any.) Big Canoe is a great centralized location to visit the many cute surroundings towns! We hit up a few each day. We will definitely be back, especially when the kids are older as a get away retreat!

We loved our stay!! Booking was easy and we were provided with all the details and maps prior to arriving.

The VRBO was just as presented excellent! It did not work out for us because my wife is elderly and has unsure footing. There were just too many stairs for us. The owner is outstanding and very friendly. If stairs are no issue for you then I highly recommend this VRBO

The house is just like the pictures showed. The jetted tub was wonderful after a day out. Beautiful and comfy. Highly recommend

This cabin was decorated so adorably and made great use of space including two bedrooms and full bathrooms. Nice and bright inside and plenty of space on wrap around deck.

My wife and I stayed at Bees Knees for a getaway weekend, for rest, to explore and get to know Big Canoe and the Jasper area more, and to celebrate my birthday. The accommodations were wonderful. Perfectly set up and decorated. Had everything we needed. We felt very at home there. Even saw a family of deer wandering by while enjoying coffee on the outside balcony early one morning. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Wonderful tree house tucked away and quiet. We enjoyed our morning coffee sitting on the deck and sipped wine at night. The house was clean and owner response.

The place was as described. A lovely little place for quiet, hikes & nature which is what we were looking for. The owners were very responsive and flexible with adding an extra night last min. I would have liked more info on the parking situation before hand since it’s a little unclear where to park especially in the dark (parking is on the road) and maybe add a mixing bowl/large bowl. Overall it was a very lovely stay and we would stay there again.

This is a cozy quaint place, and my friend and I loved it. I will say that the neighborhood was a little difficult to navigate. I recommend making sure you have written instructions because the Internet kept going out so my navigation stopped working. We went round in circles many times! I would definitely consider this place for a future getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay. The sunrise every morning was breathtaking. The cabin had everything we needed. Planning another trip here for the fall!!!! The only thing I can think of in any negative way was unloading the van with all the steps down AND up . Luckily I had my 15 year old daughter with me and she did most of it. lol

We stayed for a weekend volleyball tourney and this place was great.

We stayed a couple of days to celebrate our anniversary. The place was wonderful and very inviting.

We had a great time at the Bee’s Knees. Would definitely stay there again. So charming… Coming from South Florida the roads in Big Canoe were somewhat challenging at first but we got use to the winding roads quickly. If it is your first time visiting I would recommend arriving before dark. Also, parking could be a challenge if you have a large SUV but it is doable. 5 stars!

The bees knees was awesome, my girlfriend and I came for a weekend getaway. It was so much better than we expected and we really enjoyed our stay. Everything was top notch and well thought out. The only issue is that the fan in the master bedroom didn’t work remote was dead or something. Also the fan in the living room was dead too. But overall 10/10

Such a beautiful treehouse in the midst of a peaceful setting. The kitchen was adequate for cooking and serving. Next time we’d pack Tupperware and baggies for leftovers and packing picnic sandwiches. We’d also pack an inflatable bath pillow to truly enjoy the champagne soaker bathtub which was a lovely bonus. We loved the hiking trails in The Big Canoe. Thanks you again for a perfect relaxing weekend.

Everything was very nice inside the house. We had to clear off the deck for spider webs, leaves and debris. Upon check in, my brother, Fred Powers, was not on the list and we had to wait about 30 min. at the gate to get it approved. I had a confirmation email from Greg M. to have him added but that didn't happen. Otherwise, we had a nice stay.

Cute little Cottage. Had everything we needed, plus some. Great location. Owners responded very quickly when we reached out to them with questions before our trip. We forgot to put both of our names on the list, so we hit a snag at the gate but we called the owners, they answered, called the gate guard, and fixed the problem within minutes. Highly recommend!!

The house was as advertised and we enjoyed our time there.

Our stay was amazing, we love the Big Canoe community and have stayed previously. This property was well supplied with Keurig, kitchen that was easy to cook in, laundry for drying pool towels, snuggly bed that was soft with great bedding, ample couch seating and a beautiful serene location in the trees. Literally felt like staying in a posh treehouse!

Childhood friends reunited from 4 states for a 50 is awesome weekend getaway. This is my second stay and i would come again. Great location with so many options of activities!
