Stayed Jun 20, 2024I would give this property a zero if you want to stay somewhere that has a lot of rules and you can’t enjoy anything and get charged for things you didn’t do then this would be the place had a living room and a family room couldn’t use no food or drinks in either and one of them had tv where family would gather but couldn’t use it dirty diapers and trash on property outside no dishwasher charged for some pizza thing when we didn’t even use it we made tacos and scrambled eggs don’t even know where a pizza thing was booked for 8 people only had dishes for 4 people and only enough silverware for 2 people had to eat with baby spoons had a hot tub that didn’t work barley had any pots and pans to do anything with This by far is the worst VRBO that I have ever stayed in I hope VRBO looks at comments and takes this one off

Stayed Apr 6, 2024The cabin and property are absolutely stunning. Guests have nultiple sitting areas to choose from, both indoors and out. Walking through the woods and down along the river was peaceful and serene, and the hidden location allows you to escape. There are neighbors on each side, but they're not super close. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. Home is beautiful inside, and the hot tub room was nice. The owners dont allow food or drink in the living areas, which is a bit of a bummer when you want to play games or just hang with your friends/family. You can't flush toilet paper due to the septic for some reason, which can be a little weird with open-top trashcans and 8 people. The upstairs bedrooms were comfortable, but it did get a little warm and there are no screens on the windows. The queen bedroom needs some furniture to charge phones, put glasses, or anything (there are no nightstands or anything near the bed). The sofa bed was a little concave, and the bunk beds are a little tight height-wise (had a friend crack their head). Martinsville is a small town, but you're vlose to several great outdoor rec areas, Bloomington is only a 25m drive from the cabin if you're wanting great restaurants and some fun shopping.

Stayed Jun 4, 2026The cabin was extremely clean and well maintained. We mostly used it as a place to sleep since we were visiting some local family. The property is listed as four bedrooms which is extremely misleading as the basement is very open with two sleeping areas. Definitely not two rooms. This was not good because we had small children and wanted four bedrooms so they could not be waking each other up. The rooms upstairs also have sheer curtains and no blinds so the rooms were only dark from 10pm until 5:30am which again not ideal when traveling with kids. This cabin would be better suited for a group of friends or older children.

Stayed Mar 20, 2026The property was excellent for what we needed. This was a seven person group weekend get away with the intention of spending some time hiking, relaxing, cooking and spending time around a fire. The cabin provided for all of this and more. Everything was very clean and well maintained both inside and out. Plenty of parking for all of our separate drivers. The hot tub was wonderful and also well maintained. Sleeping arrangements were as comfortable as we could hope for seven separate sleepers in a cabin. Between the comfortable living room, TV room, the deck, the screened in porch, eight person dining table and the wonderful fire pit we had more than enough options to either spread out and relax or come together and socialize as we wanted. Provided amenities like propane and fire wood were very well stocked with more than enough for nightly fires and grilling. Several near by hiking options ( The nearby rock shelter trail was great mid-March while it was relatively dry.) Communication was excellent and the owner went out of the way to help resolve an issue that was entirely on us. Absolutely recommend and would love to visit again in the future.

Stayed Aug 29, 2025The decor was beautiful!! My family enjoyed all the things that were available to do there. Some went fishing at the pond. They went Kayaking. They enjoyed the indoor hot tub. We also enjoyed the screened in room & the fire pit on the outdoor balcony. One of the best parts was the nature & tranquility of the location. We would definitely recommend this cabin to everyone.

Stayed May 22, 2025Four siblings stayed here for the Memorial Day weekend and Indy 500 attendance. The cabin was extremely clean and a gem hidden in the woods on 16 acres. It was about a 40-minute drive to the speedway -- very easy since the cabin is close to I-69. Even though it's close to the interstate, you'd never know it from the cabin property. Due to the long driveway, the cabin is completely hidden from the road amongst all the mature trees. Just a beautiful setting.Beds were comfortable. Hot water for the showers was plentiful. Kitchen was well-equipped. Furniture was clean and comfortable after a long day. TV worked great with DirecTV and smart apps. Wifi was fast and easily connected. The outside grounds were amazing. Grounds were well kept, lawn mowed, easy parking, etc. We used the fire pit as well. Huge fire pit with all the wood you'd ever need. Surrounding the fire pit were several Adirondack chairs that were sturdy, yet lightweight enough to move around. We had the option to stay closer to the race track, but were so glad we choose this spacious cabin. The 40-minute drive was worth it to escape to the country setting and not be amongst the race weekend craziness. We would highly recommend for your next getaway. Finally, the interaction we had with the property manager was seamless. We had one minor issue and she replied within minutes to solve it. She was a phone call away all weekend if we needed her. We did not thanks to great upkeep.

Stayed Jan 2, 2025Our family had the most wonderful Christmas gathering at the Taurina Cabin near Martinsville, Indiana. Nestled in a picturesque location by a small lake and close to the White River, this cabin provided the perfect backdrop for our holiday celebration. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the serene surroundings. The cabin itself was warm, inviting, and beautifully designed, blending rustic charm with modern comforts. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from the cozy fireplace in the living room to the well-equipped kitchen where we prepared our holiday feast. The views of the lake were breathtaking, especially in the early morning when the water reflected the soft light of the rising sun. We enjoyed spending time outdoors, walking along the peaceful trails and taking in the crisp winter air. The nearby White River added to the natural beauty and offered a sense of calm and tranquility. The spacious layout of the cabin accommodated our family comfortably, with plenty of room for everyone to relax, play games, and share laughs. The décor was festive and added to the holiday spirit, making it feel like a true home away from home.Overall, the Taurina Cabin exceeded our expectations in every way. It provided not just a place to stay but a space to create lasting memories with loved ones. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in a stunning natural setting. Thank you for making our Christmas so special!

Stayed Oct 1, 2024We loved all the amenities that Taurina Cabin had to offer. We went with our adult children and grandchildren. The outdoor fire pit, new hot tub, fishing lake and swing were our favorites. The indoor porch and outdoor deck were very nice too. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. The interior decor was lovely. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. (There's no dishwasher, but we knew that when from the marketing materials. It wasn't stated explicitly, but it wasn't visible in the pictures and not noted in the things they did offer. Take paper plates or be prepared to roll up your sleeves and wash dishes) We took a couple day trips into Indianapolis and appreciated how close it was. We spent a lot of our time in the cabin playing board games and outside enjoying nature. It was a great to have the serenity to decompress and reconnect. This property has a lot of rules and the rules are posted in frames visible in many places, which was a little unsettling. Not being able to snack in front of the TV was the biggest issue for us because we wanted to eat popcorn while watching a movie. Just know what you're getting into when you go there. The rules are clearly noted in the promotional material...there weren't any surprises. We had a couple other issues while we were there -- loose dogs running on the property and garbage can filling up -- but the hosts were easy to reach, responded quickly and were very receptive. When we left, we all said we would like to book it again.

Stayed Sep 12, 2024This is a spacious cabin with expansive, beautiful, remote property to enjoy. We especially enjoyed the fire pit, like-new hot tub with awesome jets, screened in porch and very comfortable furniture and beds throughout. The space is very well decorated in a cozy, but very contemporary style. It was perfect for all ages and allowed for the relaxed family meet up we envisioned. My 8 & 9 year old loved the swing in the yard and exploring the woods and the pond.
