Superior Views - a safe place on 13 acres With A Private Wilderness Setting

This cabin was fantastic for a long weekend getaway to ski at Lutsen. Very private and conveniently located just a few minutes away from Lutsen Mountains.

Host has timely communication. Great location for a group looking to put miles on the sleds.

Excellent little hide away, well off the mountain road to Lutsen from a traffic perspective. Close enough to shoot over to the winery or Moguls tap room at the top of the mountain.Nice flat parking area, quaint little cabin, comfortable. Think of this as your uncles nice little cabin he let you use. This is not a 3,000 sqft cabin with a hot tub and a 60 inch tv.2 very clean bathrooms, yeah one is in the master bedroom so if you have another couple and they need to use the shower, they would need to use the master bathroom. The other is a 1/4 bath off the living room.Nice little kitchen with everything you need to cook. More than ample for some time away from home.Beautiful view of the lake, we were up during peak fall colors and it was stunning. You can literally sit on the deck, drink a coffee or beer and just look at the view. Silent, peaceful and well maintained.Master bedroom has a fireplace, living room has a TV with a DVD player. You are on the Northshore, who wants to be inside?I have only one complaint or bit of feedback. The mattress in the master bedroom was less than comfortable which was a bummer. A new mattress from Costco and this place is 5 stars hands down.I would not hesitate to book this place again, we will for sure be back here. Great for a couple or maybe a couple with a couple kids. Perfect location for skiers!

We had a wonderful, peaceful stay. Location was perfect as we were able to visit Grand Marais, Grand Portage, Silver Bay, and Tofte to name a few places. We drove the Gunflint Trail and saw a moose. Saw a black bear and 3 cubs near the cabin on our last day. Enjoyed the fire pit and screened in porch.

Cabin was even better than we expected. It was very clean and had everthing we needed for our stay. The view of Lake Superior was better than I thought it would be. We went for privacy and we got it. Would definately stay here again!

Superior Views Bunkhouse was perfect for my husband and me and our dog. We stayed for 4 nights - enjoying the clear view of the lake (sunrises were beautiful), the tree colors, and the stars. Location was great for all the hiking that we did during the day. We would definitely recommend and hope to be back another time.

Nice property on Lutsen Mountain. Pretty view. Owner, John, was very pleasant.Was disappointed with only one shower for the 5 of us; in on-suite of the main bedroom, and the VRBO property description specifically states 2 bathrooms each listed with a shower.

Nice quiet cozy cabin in the woods with a view of the lake. Near Lusten Mountain and Winery. The kids enjoyed sharing a room and playing cards in the screened in porch. Cabin had everything we needed for a week vacation.

Very clean and well equipped for our week long stay. Having a door code instead of a key was convenient. Enjoyed the large screen porch with view of Lake Superior. We would definetkey come back!

This is a great cabin for those traveling with dogs! The rooms are in separate parts of the house, which is great for privacy. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the outdoor porch was perfect for all of our meals. The unpaved road was very well maintained. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were very clean. I loved waking up each morning to a view of the lake! We have already agreed that we will be coming back next summer.

This cabin is in the heart of the North Shore. Everything we wanted to do was within driving range. The screened in porch was adorable and perfect to enjoy the beautiful weather, sights and sounds. The host was great! I constantly have trouble with vrbo sending me info and when I reached out to the host he called with the info I needed. The cabin is a great size for a family of 4.

Great cabin to stay for a week. Perfect size for our family of four plus dogs. Really easy location - simple to get in and out and very comfortable. John was great to work with as well. We would definitely stay again!

What a great location for all the fun activities in the area! We came up for one last Midwest ski weekend and John's place is so close to Lutsen mountain, it couldn't have worked out better. We brought our 2 dogs, so thanks for being dog friendly!

The property is right in the Lutsen hill for skiing. It’s spacious with a bedroom on either side of the kitchen sitting area. It is a beautiful setting; lots of space inside and out. The owner was super attentive and accomodating.

We came up for our yearly snowmobile vacation and the cabin was comfortable for 4 adults and 3 larger dogs. John is very easy to contact and checks in periodically during stay to make sure everything is going okay. Not far from snowmobile trails so you can ride right to the trails . We will definitely be back!!!!

We had a great time at the cabin staying for our snowboarding trip. Literally minutes from Lutsen Mountains and in a private, peaceful, and scenic location. Great views, great communication from the host, John. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed for a long weekend in September, the area is beautiful, and the cabin is close to all North Shore amenities. Restaurants, hiking, golf. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the cabin and would love to stay again! Bonus that it was dog friendly thank you for that option to be able to bring our dog with.

This was a great place for my wife and two daughters and two pups for a ski trip to Lutsen. Only a couple minutes from the hill and had space enough for 4 people. Only thing to note is that the second bathroom is a half bath with no shower. We would stay again.

We were drawn to the name of the place: A safe place. Reading further it said quiet/private. That is exactly what we wanted for our 14th wedding anniversary trip. However, John called us on our way up as there was an issue with sediment coming up in the toilets because of recent well drilling on near by properties. No biggie, we get it. We were able to bring our cooler items in and put in the fridge. Then we walked around the area for abt an hour while the plumber finished working. Once he left we brought our stuff in and stared dinner. The kitchen is well appointed. All pots and pans are in the drawer under the oven. We found the bathrooms and kitchen nice and clean. However, the living room and bedrooms not as much. I dropped something on the floor, turned the lamp on to find it and saw the biggest cobweb on the other couch and floor. All the wood in the main bedroom was dusty. I think the biggest issue we had was the owner knocking on the door or showing up unannounced daily. It was weird to me and we felt the privacy part was gone. John is a nice guy but I found those visits pretty off putting. We were only there 3 nights so a daily visit wasnt expected nor wanted. We were looking for a retreat, a restful place to be in between sightseeing.

Overall, a great location! A very private and serene setting. Necessary amenities were included. Very spacious cottage. Really liked the screened room. The pups felt at home, and so did the humans. We would definitely come back.

Great little bunkhouse situated in the trees away from everything. A little serenity in the woods. Cabin has most everything you need and is very cozy. Spent a lot of time on the screen porch and deck just taking in the nature. Note to those wanting to use the TV: the satellite TV doesn't work as it should (no paired remote, making it difficult to navigate with just the cable box) - would recommend bringing your own Roku or Firestick so that you can access what you need using the cabin's WiFi.

Property is exactly as it looks. A comfortable relaxing place to stay while exploring the wonderful hiking trails! Dog friendly — great 3 season porch for dinner and games.

We loved the cabin and all the amenities it offered. It was perfect for a small family and was accessible to most major north shore attractions near the Lutsen area. We had one rainy day and the cabin was a relaxing and spacious place to relax. We hope to come again!

The screen porch is a great place to hang out. The kitchen had everything needed to cook meals. Location is great near hiking areas and restaurants.

My wife and I and our dog stayed for 3 nights in the Bunkhouse. The property is in a great location surrounded by trees with a view of Lake Superior. The enclosed porch and outdoor seating allowed us to take in the beautiful scenery. There are trails by the property which were great for walking our dog. The beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, we were never able to communicate with the host before arriving at the property despite messages and texts we sent to him. We even had to call VRBO regarding the situation. They sent him an email to which he didn't respond. It is not usual to show up at a property expecting the front door to be open but that's what happened. After we left, I received a text from the host stating that he was in Canada without phone service. He should have let us known that he would be inaccessible before he left. Even leaving a note on the door would have sufficed.

Great location, everything we wanted to do was 5-25 minutes away. Cabin was super functional. Good measure of privacy, the living room, separated, the two bedrooms. Screened porch was great. Comfortable beds.
