This property was perfect for our staff planning. Plenty of space, very comfortable and many amenities to please all.
We had the best place in Garden Valley to stay out of all the family that came for the wedding would recommend it to anyone
The Cabin at Wooded River was perfect for our family reunion! The setting is gorgeous and the house was well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. We loved the kayaking even in spots where the river was very shallow and the adults had to push a bit with the oars. We appreciated that there was plenty of comfy seating for hanging out and talking, for the whole family for meals, extra tables and chairs for groups for playing games, and for many other activities. There was ample parking, plenty of available activities for everyone, and a beautiful, spacious lawn. We could have stayed much longer and still have had plenty to do and enjoy. It's a great place for a family reunion! We usually go to a different location each year, but might have to come back to this one!
Large family reunion with ages ranging from 2 months to great grandparents at 82. We could not have picked a better place. Everyone slept comfortably, the house kitchen easily accommodated large group cooking. There are so many activities available: sitting in the river, floating it in kayaks, outdoor games, space for lots of indoor board games, s’mores in the fire pit, or just enjoying a comfortable gathering on a porch. The cement driveway was enjoyed by little kids on scooters, chalk art, basketball and pickleball in evening shade. Close by town was fun to visit, guys golfed at the resort, 4 year olds and up enjoyed a 1.5 hr river raft ride with Bear Valley guides and some enjoyed a beverage at the Dirty Shame Saloon. People drove from Illinois to attend and said they would drive that far again they loved it so much. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful place!
Great home and great location. The house and amenities are perfect for a family get together. Kayaks, pickleball, basketball, and playing in the river. We floated down the river nearly every day we were there. The only comment was that the water pressure in the bathrooms was spotty.
Rarely can you say something is better than advertised. But our family feels this holds true for this cabin. We loved it there! Everything was so well organized and so well-equipped for many different activities. It also had a number of great gathering places. The communication with our host was excellent. We have rented houses all over the country for our family reunions. This was the best one we ever had.
This place was absolutely everything our family could have hoped for !!! SO much to do and with access to all of the toys it was just never ending fun! The float down the river was just breathtaking! Neighbor next door was so kind and helped us find the special hot springs down the road ! We will be back FOR SURE!!!!
This was a great cabin get away for a work retreat. Our group bonded so nicely. The two different cabins allowed us to spread out and have some privacy when needed, yet remain close and fully engaged as a group. The kitchen was fantastic. Stocked with spices, lots of storage for food cooked while there and had plenty of cleaning supplies for dishes! We did not run out of ANYTHING. Many cabins are limiting on toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags but not here. Comfy beds all over the cabins made for a nice and relaxing stay. Anna responded quickly to questions we had, which made our planning super easy. We are planning to return in the fall. Add this one to your must do list!
We had all of the families here to celebrate our mom/grandma/great-grandma. It was the ideal place to gather comfortably and enjoy the views outdoors. The younger guests appreciated the games, air hockey and foozball tables during down time. Always plenty to do!
Beautiful, comfortable cabin with scenery by the river. Lots to do here! Will be going back with more family! Great response from host. All around pleasurable stay.
We definitely will be going back! There is so much to do at the cabin and in the area. Our family of 25 went to hot springs, all went golfing, we kayaked in the stream nearby, went to the local naturally heated pool and played a bunch of yard games. They even had a pickleball court on property that even the little kids loved and joined in! This cabin is very accommodating, especially for large groups. We had meals together every day. The rooms and beds were great. The kids loved the projector room and the air hockey, pool table, fussball, shuffleboard, other games they had. The property manager was great and very easy to work with. During our stay we had dieing come up with heating and she came as QuickTime as she could to resolve the issue. Thanks!
The property itself is beautiful. It is at the end of a lane, and although there are neighbors, they don't feel like they're on top of you. It is right on the river, so the kids went down and splashed around every day. We also kayaked the river every day we were there. We would just drive up a couple miles, and then float down. It's an easy ride, although a little shallow in spots this time of year (end of July). We were told by a neighbor (too late) that this time of year it's better to go float the North Fork. The cabins/ bedrooms themselves are just beautiful. The kitchen was sufficient to cook for our band of 23. It could use a few more big bowls, but other than that I would say we had everything we needed. My only complaint is the bathroom situation. They had room to sleep all 23 of us, but just not enough bathrooms. We gave the master (upstairs in the main cabin) to Grandma and Grandpa. Which meant 21 of us were sharing 2 bathrooms/showers. Obviously we dealt with it, and occasionally borrowed the master bath, but another bathroom in the 2nd cabin is SO needed! If it could be added on at the end of the hallway, what a difference that would make! The lawn is lovely with plenty of room for corn hole, volleyball, spike ball. They have lots of outdoor games available for your use. The front and back porches are also very nice to hang out. We would definitely return to this cabin!!
Worth every penny . So much to do
This cabin is situated in a nearly unbeatable setting, directly on the middle fork of the Payette river. There was plenty of space for our family both inside and out. The accommodations are top-notch, with very comfortable beds and plenty of seating areas in the main room. The kitchen is well-appointed, as are the bathrooms. The cabin sits at the end of the deadend lane, and we saw literally no other people on the lane during our stay. We really enjoyed watching the snow fall, and we even saw a fox chasing geese along the river! It was an all-around perfect stay.
