Very unique property. Comfortable and affordable option to staying inside GNP yet close to the park. Very quiet. It was great for us. We enjoyed our stay.
The worst property I have ever stayed at! The host never provided the access code for entry to the cabin so we were locked out when we arrived for our visit to Glacier NP. As we are sitting in our car, we spoke to a random man asking if he knew the host/owner because we were locked out. He said Oh, the code is XXXX. So, we could get into the cabin knowing random individuals ALSO could get in the cabin while we were not there! We enter the cabin to find NO TOILET PAPER, NO TOWELS, NO TOILETRIES, NO COFFEE POT, NO FORKS, KNIVES, PLATES, SPOONS, CUPS. The cabin is furnished with broken down, third hand furniture and looks sad. The bed was OK, though. The host's phone number was diconnected and he never reaponded to my messages about the towels etc and my request for a refund until the last day of our stay. In the meantime, we had to go and spend our money to buy the basic items that should have been in the cabin. On our last night, the dishwasher from the restaurant knocked at the door with a box of towels, shampoo etc and said somebody messed up and sorry. We were also given a refund totaling one night. But we had already spent so much just to make it where we could stay there, that the refund dudnt amount to much. Trust me when I say DO NOT BOOK THIS CABIN!! IT WILL RUIN YOUR VACATION TO GLACIER AND YOU WORK TOO HARD TO WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS TIME AND MONEY ON THIS SORRY EXCUSE FOR A SHORT TERM RENTAL!!!
“AVOID” this property at all cost. It was not at all as advertised, there is a trash dump site within 100 feet of the front door, there were weeds up to the windows on either side of the cabin and spider webs at the front door with active spiders in the webs. The host would NOT communicate with me before check-in to give me the check-in codes. I sat in front of the cabin for 2 hours trying to reach-out to the host, I called customer service with Vrbo and sat on the phone with them for over an hour and a half while they tried to reach the host. All of our efforts failed to reach the host. I traveled across the country and encountered this problem with this host. Fortunately for me Vrbo came to the rescue and is working with me to refund my money. My trip does have a happy ending though, I found another property 30 mins away and had a wonderful time at Glacier National Park. But, if I had booked this property in June, July or August during peek travel season I would not have been so lucky.
This cabin was so clean and comfortable. We loved it and the location/proximity to the park. The only problem was the host never sent me the door code to get in. I tried contacting the number listed as the “contact” for the property and the person who answered said I had the wrong phone number and that he constantly get calls for people trying to stay at the cabin. Since the cabin is located behind a restaurant, I called the restaurant hoping they might know the host and luckily someone working there also happened to be the cleaning person for the cabin. She gave me the code and we were able to get in but it took the host 7 hours to reply to my emails asking for the code. If not for the restaurant employee’s help, we would have been sleeping in our rental car after 14 hours of traveling, not cool. Otherwise we had a great experience and the cabin is very nice.
Loved it. Loved the Bunyan bar and grill also. Thanks John
A great location for visiting Glacier NP. The cabin is well appointed, but a few more amenities would make it better. The room layout is great and we were very comfortable.
This Cabin is fairly new & it’s located behind the Paul Bunyan Bar & Grill. The area is still under development which we don’t mind, it’s quiet & peaceful. We love that It’s only about 15 minutes away from the west glacier village before the entrance, very convenient. Inside this cabin is nice & cozy, the cooling/heating unit is working great. It’s Clean & got what we needed for our stayed. Good Communication with John & Kathie our host upon check in & check out. Overall very happy with our choice to book this cabin vs hotel. Thanks for a wonderful stay. It’s nice to go back to a comfortable cabin everyday after a long day of exploring & hiking at Glacier National Park :)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was clean and so close to the west entrance of glacier, like 6 miles! The restaurant in front of the cabin was excellent. We were even able to add one day to our stay!
