We enjoyed our time as it was the perfect quiet getaway we were looking for. Close enough to all things Door County, but far enough away to escape the crowds. The deck was lovely on the one evening we could use it as the cold and wind kept us inside when we were there.
Everything we needed was there. Loved it.
The home was cute and cozy. The view of Green Bay was beautiful. We enjoyed our time there.
There were serious cleaning and safety issues with our rental and we were not fairly compensated for the problems. There was considerable debris on the futon/couch in the living room (uncomfortable looking - never sat there since it was dirty) and on the couch in the screened-in porch. There was food and dirt on the counter, one swipe of the bathroom floor with a paper towel came up black with hair, the floor of the screened porch was covered with debris (not airborne dust that could have blown in through the screens), and a bottom sheet had a stain. The window air conditioner was attached to 4 power strips, creating a fire hazard. The listing said there was a kayak/canoe when there wasn't one (this since has been corrected). And this is a two bedroom place, not three, as listed. We were scheduled to stay for 3 nights. We were aware of a few of the issues before we decided to stay the first night, but the problems compounded as the evening wore on. We cancelled the following 2 nights. The management company acknowledged the unit had been poorly cleaned and provided a partial refund for two of the nights and half the cleaning fee. We still ended up paying the equivalent of 1 ¾ nights for the miserable one night stay. We are seasoned travelers, have enjoyed many clean and comfortable ‘rustic” settings and always give 4 or 5 start reviews. Nice setting, but overpriced, even if clean. We had a lovely stay.
Our stay on the property was amazing. Being able to sit out on the deck to watch the sunsets were absolutely gorgeous. The location was good, not that far from major stores if we need anything, and close enough to all the activities in Door County. I highly recommend staying in this cabin.
The house is stocked with all that you need in the kitchen, but I would suggest bringing a sharpened knife if you are planning to cook. The beds are comfortable and the cabin is incredibly quiet. We slept really well! If you are planning to work from this cabin, the wifi is a little slow (as expected for being so far away from downtown), so just a heads up about that! Overall we had a wonderful time and will be back again. It was the perfect stay.
Beautiful views, homey and simple but cozy space
The location was beautiful and the time overall was good. However, when we walked in the place smelled like wet dog. Also, the posting stated that the porch was screened in but in fact it was not - all windows. Also the owner kept sending messages about if we had a dog and how there was an additional fee because of it. We reached out to the owners the first night and they did get back to us, confirming we did not have a dog and about the smell but ignored the question about the screened in porch. Again, stay was fine but the overall experiences was very... medium.
Property was just like the reviews said it was. Yes the bathroom is small but it's bigger than the one in our travel trailer. The deck was great. For the time we were at the cabin most of it was spent out there. The cabin is within a half hour drive from anywhere on the peninsula, it was clean and even though there are neighbors on both sides sides it's quite private. We liked it a lot.
Nice relaxing trip. Great view of Lake Michigan.
Very enjoyable. Wish the weather had been better but no worries.
The property was everything it was described as in the listing. We enjoyed the privacy. It was very comfortable and felt like we we were staying in a cabin in the far north woods.
We had a great time at a centrally-located cabin for our group. Had everything we needed and a great view of the lake!
but the mattress needs to be replaced - was not comfortable and the bathroom was so small it was hard to take a shower. My husband is a tall, big man.
This was by far the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. The location was secluded with a fabulous view of the lake from the screened in porch and also the house. We only stayed 2 nights but it was really cozy and homey.
Loved the waterfront. Great screened in porch. Just a tad small but we did have 5 people.
The cabin was rustic & very nice. It was a little hard to find on the road due to the foliage. Otherwise, everything was as expected. I would recommend this cabin to family & friends. They were flexible on the checkout time, which I greatly appreciated. They always replied to my questions & concerns in a timely matter. We made many memories during our stay. Thank you, The KEAGGY’s
My wife and I found this to be a great, cozy, perfect getaway spot to celebrate a quiet anniversary. The property is very well kept, had everything we needed, and was perfect for our needs. Our dog had a great time on the very rocky, but secluded and beautiful lakeshore. Our only issue: I can't smell anything, but my wife smelled some lingering cigarette smoke in the cabin on arrival. Neither of us are smokers, and it didn't bother us, but we were called by the management after our stay and were asked to pay a smoking cleanup fee. So if you smell cigarette smoke, do inform the management immediately upon arrival.
Great cozy cabin with beautiful view of the shore of Green Bay and gorgeous sunsets! Kitchen is small if you plan to cook a lot but it worked fine for us. Enjoyed screen porch, deck, fire pit etc. Easy access to nearby towns/tourist sites.
We stayed for 3 nights at this cabin. The surroundings were peaceful and quiet. The view and sunsets were spectacular. although our stay was on a chilly weekend, my husband and I enjoyed evenings in the sun room after our kids went to bed. There are a few things that could easily be improved with a little TLC. There were ants in both the bathroom and kitchen. The ants were on the counter, in the cupboards, on the sink, and even on the toilet... and we didn't leave food out. The cabin just overall needed a good cleaning. There were various hairs and stains on the furniture, in the sheets, and on the toilet when we arrived. These things are fixable and would make the experience better.
We enjoyed our stay. However the description of the “common driveway “ etc. made the arrival confusing. Also, the screened in porch was fitted with storm windows and stifling, ergo useless - a sad waste of space. Also, a service call both outdoors and indoors at 8 am is not conducive to relaxing ( especially with teenagers). The towels, sheets, beds - all top notch! Kitchen compact but had absolutely everything one could want! Deck great, beach toys fun. Just a couple of minor fixes and the stay would be close to perfect
Quite small, but a nice base for Door County activities. Everything comfortably usable. Well furnished. Deck was the highlight with its fabulous view. Would have been nice to have screens in the porch area. As it was set up for us, it was completely enclosed making it very hot, stuffy, and unusable, except when it was cool in the morning. Other concern was that all of the additional fees, taxes, charges, etc.... essentially doubled the nightly cost for our weekend.
