We had so much fun staying at Stone Cabin! The river right behind the house was so relaxing. It was super quiet with tons of birds. The cabin was cozy and clean. The location made it very easy to visit Canyon Lake, New Braunfels, San Marcos and Wimberley. We can’t wait to book again!

Location Location Location! Amazing waterfront property just steps down from the backdoor. We loved listening to the waterfall and took advantage of the firepit outback to make s'mores with our son for the 1st time. Memories to last a lifetime.

Cute little place. My wife and I very much enjoyed the stay. The only item I didn’t like was the shower in the primary restroom didnt drain sufficiently. Luckily there was another shower that didn’t have an issue. Also, slightly bummed the water wheel was on a different property that was not accessible. All and all it was a very enjoyable stay and would recommend.

Pictures online don’t do it justice. Even prettier in person. Great location. Only drawback is patio furniture to enjoy the river is awful (and dangerous-ready to fall apart.). Recommend bringing your own chairs.

This was our 2nd time staying here. Just as good as the last! Check in was simple! Kitchen was fully functional for multiple meals, as well as the grill and fire pit! Bring your tubes and drop them right in off the bulkhead in the backyard, float for about 2hrs to the 2nd crossing, walk out and back to the house in less than 15min (1/2mi). Then sit by the firepit and watch fireflies, deer, and listen to the river. Enjoy coffee the next morning with the cool breeze coming off the Guadalupe just a few steps from the back door!As the previous renter was checking out, they noted an issue with the refrigerator/freezer. I was contacted by the management company while driving into town to let me know we may be without a functioning refrigerator the first night. Not an issue as what I needed was on ice. They had someone come and repair it the next day and kept me up to date on the progress. Seamless.Visited Gruene and Fiesta Texas, both short drives. Plan to make an annual summer trip in this place for as long as it's available! The kids really enjoy it as one last 'Hoorah!' before school starts back up. Thanks again!

My friend and I stayed here for a girls weekend and concert at Whitewater. It was the perfect place and the backyard was sooo beautiful and peaceful! -The trick to the “tricky” front door was to pull the handle towards you so that the door shuts more in, and then enter the code.-The master bedroom shower, we couldn’t figure out how to turn it on lol-And the dishwasher detergent compartment lid was broken.Overall, we loved it here and would definitely stay again!

It was everything we needed for a weekend stay. Beds were comfortable. The river location was very nice. Lots of room to spread out. Quiet neighborhood. The only improvement would be regarding the extra linens for the futon. They were stale smelling. Overall we would book again.

Minute we got there, my 1 yo walked barefoot in house and bottom of feet were black with dirt. Vent fan in restroom did not work due to short in light switch. We had to clean both grill and firepit before using. Outdoor patio surface was dirty with dry mud. Kitchen sink was somewhat backed up, drainage was very very slow.

Email gave clear instructions on how to access property, yet it took 3 times to enter. The place has no thermostat to make your stay comfortable. Had to call agency and on call staff couldn’t resolve issues; uncomfortably cold at night. The bathroom shower controls were difficult to adjust water temperature. There was kitchen sink issues as water back up.

Nice place, clean on the inside however the car port area near the grilling area was covered in dry mud. Home sits on an incline and it looks like it flooded and the mud was left behind from the drain off. It would have been nice to be able to sit out in that area to enjoy our dinner.

We loved the cozy yet open layout, comfy beds, and pretty riverside property. River access is a bit treacherous for the very young or older folks, but this is a beautiful part of the river. Bring kitchen towels, hot pads, and a sharp knife if you plan on using those. Queen bedroom is actually a full. Still, a great spot and a good value.

We had a great stay. The location is great. Walk out the back door and put your tubes in the River. There are 2 options to grocery shop. Brookshire Bros. To the left on 306 or HEB to the right. Great country breakfast place at Granny D’s. Just don’t order more than one pancake. They are huge! Tube rentals àt end of street.Whitewater Amphitheater is a short walk away. Canyon Lake short drive. Great location!!

The place is lovely, beds are comfortable, water is beautiful. The front door lock is a little sticky tricky, which I only say in case you roll up bleary eyed in the dark- it definitely doesn’t detract from the experience, and the host provides instructions about it. We brought our own floats and scooted right out of the back yard. Didnt want to leave, would absolutely stay again:).

My family opted to take a late summer vacation in the New Braunfels area in hopes of floating the river, enjoying Schlitterbahn, and taking a short drive to Fiesta Texas. Our family LOVED the house right on the river! We were able to drop tubes into the rapids right behind the house and take a leisurely float all the way down to the 2nd crossing, hop out, and had a short 10min walk back to the house. Bring your tubes! (Or buy them at the convenience store) We chased fireflies after dark, caught crawfish, tadpoles, and saw all kinds of wildlife including deer, fox, several types of fish and birds. My boys really enjoyed it. The evenings were serene and quiet, with a cool breeze coming off the chilly river to keep the stifling heat bearable. S'mores on the outdoor firepit were a hit! (bring charcoal/wood). The home itself had 2 bedrooms, and an additional 2 fold-out futons, with a 3rd fold-out couch. Plenty of room for our family of 4, with extras if you have a larger group. Washer and dryer on-site were nice to keep us from doing so much laundry when we got home The furnishings were nothing fancy, but more than adequate. I'd actually prefer it to be basic as boys can be a bit wild, and I always worry about them breaking or damaging things. With a 100° heat, and a stone home built in the 60's, A/C struggled a bit but it was as good as could be expected. We didn't spend much time in the home, anyway. It cooled off nicely late at night thru late morning. We'll be back!
