Beautiful cabin. Extremely clean. Daily visit from the elk. It is an excellent choice!

We stepped into a beautiful new home with one of the best equipped kitchens we have come across.We were pleasantly surprised to wake up Saturday to 7 elk that stayed all day - until dark. They walked, slept and enjoyed the beautiful day. We drove, fished and golfed.Finding the Scottish Public House, about a 20 minute ride to Waynesville, was unique treat.Beautiful way to start retirement!

This was our second visit to this cabin, and it couldn’t get any better. Fabulous clean cabin with everything you need. Great outdoor fire pit that we used every night with very comfortable seating. Outdoor grill was awesome which we put to good use. Inside the cabin is very clean and comfortable with nice fireplace. Plenty of utensils in kitchen to make your meals. Rooms our very nice, plenty of room. Upstairs pool table was a lot of fun. Washer and dryer in case you need to wash clothes. Our host Bruce was awesome always checking to make sure everything is fine. Couldn’t ask for a better host ! Are stay was fantastic and looking forward to coming again. We loved every single detail of this cabin! From the fire pit to the beds, from the pool table to the comfy chairs, everything! It was also very clean and by far the best stocked kitchen we’ve seen in a rental. Great experience and we’re already planning to come back!!

Very welcoming host and the cabin had all the amenities we could’ve expected! We were a short drive from skiiing at Cataloochee and shopping/dining in downtown Waynesville. Seeing elk on our last day was also a nice touch! ;)

This property is perfect! Our host, Bruce, was fantastic! We felt so very comfortable from the moment we arrived. The property was extremely clean, beautifully decorated, well appointed, and perfectly located. Mountain views, elk viewing, easy access, and close proximity to Waynesville make this property ideal for a mountain getaway. We will be back in October!

We really enjoyed our stay in Elk Haven Lodge! Not only was the cabin beautiful and clean, but the owner Bruce was very friendly and responsive. We had elk in the yard the first morning we were there. We really enjoyed our time in the rocking chairs on the porch and at the fire pit. We couldn't have asked for a more comfortable stay and can't wait come back and stay here again!

Cabin had great layout & comfortable furnishings. It is well maintained with ease of access & good location to local attractions. The only downfall was new construction in progress across the street, which is temporary. This stated, we would stay again.

Lovely home with easy access to the attractions we were there to see. The home was exceptionally clean and well kept. Bruce was great to work with and we highly recommend this home. We had two elk in our yard the last night of our stay.

This property is perfectly situated. Not only a serene setting but close to all this area has to offer. We have stayed at this location before and are continuing a yearly trip to this rental. The host, Bruce, is incredibly responsive and the home has all the amenities you could ask for. I would highly recommend this property. Thanks for another great trip!

The house was beautiful and in a great location. I was skeptical about previous reviews saying there were elk in field behind house in the evening but they were out every night except one. Truly an amazing experience at a beautiful cabin. Definitely will look to book in the future

This is one of the best appointed cabins we have ever stayed in. The decor was fantastic and the cabin felt like home. We came up with two trucks, two slingshots and a car and had enough parking for all. Everything we needed was here. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway.

Beautiful house in a great location! We will definitely be back. We had to reschedule our trip, in October because of the flooding in western NC and Tennessee. Bruce was great with keeping in contact with me. I highly recommend this property!

The cabin was wonderful just like the pictures. It was very clean and comfortable. You can’t ask for more. We sat around the fire place every night and watched the Elk go by. Awesome grill outside which we used a few nights. The pool table was fun. We go every year to Maggie Valley to ski and glad we found this cabin. Would like to say thank you to Bruce our host for the great time we had. I would highly recommend this cabin, it will not disappoint!!

We had a great trip. The cabin was in a great location and very convenient to Cataloochee Ski resort. We were able to watch elk in the morning right from our front porch. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking all of our meals. Check in was easy. The cabin was clean and beds were comfortable! Can’t wait for our next trip.

We stayed here for an awesome ski weekend at Cataloochee. The home is fully stocked and insanely clean. The furnishings are beautiful and comfortable and there is plenty of space for everyone. There is tons of pantry space if you plan to bring your own food and ample cookware and dinnerware. The rocking chairs would be a great place to relax in warmer weather, and the fire pit area was beautiful. We greatly appreciated the guest gift and the supplies (paper towels, dish detergent, kitchen towels, trash bags, etc). We had plenty (plus some) for our long weekend. The instructions for check out were nicely posted making it very easy to ensure we followed the owner's requests. The location is great - beautiful views from all sides. There was a bull elk that hung out either behind the home or across the street all weekend and he was fun to watch. The neighborhood is quiet and very convenient to the ski area and Maggie Valley, with no hills and easy winter access. We received snow during our visit and plows/treatment kept the roads in great shape. If you are a runner or walker, it's a nice and safe area to venture out for some exercise. Bruce checked in with us to make sure that everything was okay and was available if we needed anything - but we had no problems at all. Great place all around - we even met a neighbor who was so kind and welcoming.

We had a wonderful stay at Elk Haven! The cabin was new and beautiful! It had a beautiful wrap around porch with tockers that I would have enjoyed more if it wasn’t so windy and cold ghe days we were there. Truly easy access with plenty of space to park - not the tiny spaces at other lications. It was very convenient to Cataloochee ski resort, and my niece loved seeing the elk! Bruce continually stayed in touch with us and the complimentary water and snacks were perfect since I didn’t have time to run to the store. Thank you, Bruce!

In all of our VRBO experience this was by far the best. This cabin was the cleanest we have ever stayed at and that is a big deal for us. It wasn’t overly decorated or full of stuff so you had room for your stuff. The neighbors were extremely nice and helpful. We had Elk outside in the yard all day and night. Beautiful views.

This cabin is absolutely beautiful! Great communication with Bruce the owner. The highlight of this cabin are the elk that visit on a daily basis. You can stand on the deck and watch them all around the house. We highly recommend this cabin and plan to be back again.

Photos & description of cabin are accurate. Very well appointed & stocked w/essentials. Everything in the cabin was top quality. Step outside for beautiful views of Smokey Mtns. and Elk in yard. Plenty of things to do a short drive away. We would definitely stay here again.

Elk Haven Lodge is surrounded by beautiful mountains and lovely scenery yet is located in the middle of Maggie Valley and all the conveniences that it offers. The porch is perfect for wildlife viewing or socializing with family or friends. The interior of the cabin is tastefully and comfortably furnished, and suited the needs of our family of 6 well. The kitchen was very well stocked, and the entire property was impeccably clean inside and out. We highly recommend Elk Haven Lodge when staying in the Maggie Valley area.

Loved our stay at Elk Haven. Host thinks of. The cabin was beyond stocked. Beautifully decorated & clean. Elk watching in the morning & evening along with pool table & fire pit kept use very entertained. The area is beautiful & lots of great shops & restaurants along with great fishing locations. Will definitely be back.

Elk Haven Lodge has beautiful views and is exactly as described. The location is perfect and the daily elk walk throughs are an added bonus. Will for sure come back.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the cabin! It was even nicer than the pictures and the pictures are gorgeous as it is! The cabin is immaculate and has everything you might want or need! It was better than staying in a hotel. The wraparound porch, the views, relaxing fire pit area, and comfort make it one of our favorite trips! We would absolutely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone else heading to this area! Thank you Bruce for making it so lovely and being available if we needed anything!!
