I found this locale and made plans for things to do around the area for the weekend. The minute we stepped into the cabin we both agreed, we weren’t going anywhere. First of all, the location is rustic and the overlooks are incredible! If you want a secluded cabin with mountainside views, then this is the lodging for you. As for the cabin, I knew it would be nice from the glowing recommendation I received from a friend, but I had no idea how magnificent it turned out to be. The cabin is spacious, plenty of room for a family of four. Despite the size, we still found this little haven quite cozy and charming. Like I said, we canceled all of our weekend plans and decided to spend our two days right there.. I would also like to add, you may find a cabin rental that offers the same setting and amenities, but I am confident you will not find any rental company that can match the warmth and kindness of the management at Enchanted Mountain Retreats. We are already making plans to return as soon as we can.

Truly spectacular views and very private. The cabin is very spacious and has an awesome downstairs’ game room. We felt this cabin was perfect for us and we plan on returning.

Reviewer Comments: My wife and I have enjoyed vacationing at this location approximately 8 times over the last 4 years and have truly enjoyed the location and amenities. However, our most recent trip left us very concerned about the overall general upkeep of the home. From unchanged light bulbs, no dishwasher tabs, uncleaned tub with debris and spiders and an uncleaned Hot Tub which gave my wife a horrible rash (pseudomonas folliculitis) by Sunday morning. Management was not interested in communicating about these concerns when notified about the issues on the Friday evening prior to a very uncomfortable rash. When we advised management about the issues that had further developed, the only concern was if they needed to contact an attorney. We feel that our time and experience would be better spent at a different location instead of worrying with an unkept property.We won't plan on returning to this location or others with this management company.

My family and I were looking for a place in the mountains where we could feel secluded, but also have amazing views. This house provided just that! The last third of the mile to the house is on an incline, and the house is at the end of that road. This made for really amazing and quiet morning walks. We put my truck in four wheel drive low just to be on the safe side. The road in some parts is paved, some gravel, and some covered and fallen leaves. We didn't have any trouble driving. The circular driveway is super helpful to get into and off the property.Check in was easy. The management company was very communicative and even left us a welcome basket which was super sweet. They kindly set up a Christmas tree and had some Christmas lighting outside as well. We are a family of four with two large teenage boys, so the house was spacious enough for all of us. The downstairs game room was a great place to hang out as a family. The house is about 10 to 15 minutes from downtown Murphy. Just close enough and just far enough away. It was really the perfect location for us and what we were looking for.We hope to go back, and feel lucky to have experienced such a serene place for our Christmas vacation.

It’s very easy to get to (not far from a gas station, restaurants, and downtown Murphy, NC) yet feels isolated. We’ve been renting from Enchanted Mountain Retreats for 15 years. They make us feel like we’re part of the family! We will definitely be back!

Reviewer Comments: Beautiful views,so quiet, thank you for the gift basket and pie!Only a few minor items for feedback - please have the cleaning staff/property manager turn the hot tub to the correct temperature to avoid ants and spiders in the hot tub. We coud not use it. The dog area had too much poo from previous visitors and needed cleaning. The fireplace in the walk out basement didn't work, the jukebox was broken, and the picnic table was broken.

This was not the original cabin we had booked however this was exactly the type of cabin we wanted for our vacation. There were no neighbors in sight and spectacular Mountain View’s. We wished there was a fire pit or a fireplace on the porch. There’s no tv on the main floor and on the lower level there’s no fridge so lots of trips up and down the stairs. Directions were also a bit vague. At one point the pavement ends and turns to dirt and grass in what looks like a forest trail. From there it’s a one lane road up the mountain in which you need to put the vehicle in low. If driving country roads on a steep incline is not something you are comfortable with then this would not be a cabin I would recommend. If you are comfortable this rural mountain cabin is a gem

I can’t even explain how gorgeous the view is from all directions on the porch. And the amenities in the cabin itself are outstanding. You will not be disappointed if you rent this cabin. So comfortable and relaxing! And dog friendly too!
