The Snowshoe Log Cabin is the perfect combination of Snowshoe Mountain recreation and private off-the-grid relaxation. Spend your days enjoying all the activities that Snowshoe Mtn and Pocahontas County have to offer. Enjoy your nights unwinding in a private log cabin located on 2 acres surrounded by trees, streams, mountains, and all the great outdoors has to offer. You're less than 15 minutes to Snowshoe but miles away from everything else.

In addition to Snowshow Mountian, you areonly a short drive to; the Greenbrier River, Monongahela National Forest, George Washington National Forest, Green Bank Observatory, Seneca State Forest, Beartown State Park.

Outdoor enthusiasts will love this cabin for all of the outdoor recreation activities Pocahontas County has to offer. There are several opportunities for hiking, skiing, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking only a short drive away

You will enjoy the privacy of a large, heavily wooded lot surrounded by mountain views in all directions, streams, and an abundance of wildlife located in a private secluded log cabin neighborhood. Guest have access to the entire cabin including a covered porch, deck, and outdoor firepit (firewood included.)

The cabin gets its water from a local stream and is equipped with an entire home UV light filtration system so it’s safe to drink. Guest will also enjoy a tankless water heater so no matter the size of your party a hot shower will always be ready.

The cabin and Pocahontas County are located in the National Radio Quiet Zone (NRQZ) as a result, cell phone coverage through the county and surrounding area is extremely limited and is unavailable at the cabin.

Guests will have access to the cabin's house phone and Wi-Fi internet. Most guests should be able to connect their cell phones to the cabin's internet and enjoy Wi-Fi calling on their cell phones and text messaging. The cabin's internet services are provided via satellite. As a result, on rare occasions service may be temporarily interrupted due to extreme weather conditions.

This cabin has a TV with ROKU, DVD player, and a nintendo Wii.

The kitchen has all the basics to cook with (I.e. pots, pans, utensils) but doesn’t have spices or oil stocked.

Bathroom towels, bed linens, dish soap and hand soap are provided. Shampoo and bath soap is not provided.

Due to the mountain location of this cabin access is provided by both paved and gravel roads. While the roads are plowed and maintained by the state and county, AWD or 4WD vehicles are recommended especially in the winter months due to lots of snow and other weather conditions.

Please remember to review your directions prior to departure, cell phone service is limited in much of the area and may make use of some mapping or GPS services inoperable. We are happy to help with travel plans and provide directions to the cabin.

Due to the remote location of this property, there are two external security cameras that cover the cabin's entrance. The cameras are focused on the driveway, front door, and front porch.

Dogs allowed: On a case-by-case basis, an extra fee will be added & the renter must agree to the following rules

1) Dogs are not allowed in the cabin alone or unattended unless in a crate.
2) The pet must be leashed when outside.
3) All animal waste must be picked up.
4) Max of 2 dogs only.

The cabin was very clean and welcoming distant from neighboring houses, feels like your own getaway with the mountain. The host was very responsive and kindly helped with any questions I had.

Cabin was very private, off the beaten path. Place was very well stocked, WiFi was flawless, definitely have directions printed, Waze app worked great for us, even with no signal it still showed route. Snowshoe is close and offers lots of food choices, Snowshoe hare is great and we enjoyed the Cass trains, Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, Falls of Hills Creek and Beartown. Wonderful area!

The cabin is the perfect get away if you're looking for a quite cabin with all the amenities you need. Me and my buddies stayed here for a ski trip at snowshoe only 25 minutes away from the resort. Down a gravel road its tucked in a hollar with a few other houses. We did experince a power outage but the gas fireplace kept us warm and the host kept us updated when it would be back on while we were hitting the slopes. The power came back on and we all enjoyed being unplugged for a little while.

Nice log cabin in beautiful nature. Communication with Bryan was outstanding- very clear and helpful instructions coming in and excellent support dealing with an issue the first night that Bryan addressed right away. We were there for a ski trip and it took about 25 minutes each way in snowy/icy conditions, but with gorgeous scenery.

If you want a location that is secluded, this place is for you. Definitely need a good vehicle to get to this place. Pretty and quiet surrounding many miles away from anything. The kitchen was small and needed a big skillet. Had some problems with lighting the grill and the wood just smoked a lot when we tried to make a fire. It was still fun sitting around the smokey fire enjoying nature. The cabin itself was beautiful inside. Beds were comfortable, except for the hide-a-bed in the couch. A great place for nature enthusiasts.
