Love the location, hot tub was great. Heat was working first night, second night no heat. Not sure if it’s out of propane??? Would definitely stay again. Thanks

Very small, cute cabin but my family of 7 were comfortable (we were really only there to sleep). Very clean and well taken care of.

Host was super responsive, everything was exactly how we expected based off the listing. Perfect for a place to sleep while we were in town snowmobiling.

As described, rustic cabin that's perfect for outdoor activities and a very close walk to the beach (Bear Lake) which is beautiful in all seasons - we were here for my husband's IceMan race that left from Kalkaska airport and I'd recommend this location for all riders: close to the start and not too far from the finish but far enough that the restaurants are not overcrowded when you want to eat (recommend Moose & Stella's and Bear Inn) Cabin sleeps 6 but realistically, only a close couple or a family with young children can stay because bathroom and bedrooms do not have doors (separated by curtains) it was perfect for us with our small dog but if our adult daughter had come along, we would've stepped outside for her to use the facilities Hot tub is a VERY nice extra to have in all seasons, esp post race and the neighbors are extremely friendly - very nice tv/internet set up and kitchen basics As with most lake cabin, bring your own soap/shower and extra blankets - mattresses and sofa are rustic

It was lovely but we had some things that concerned us. Thankfully i was wear shoes but i did step on a big screw on the back porch and it almost went through the shoe I was wearing. And it says 6 beds but there two in this little loft area but the latter to get up there just seemed really unsafe to climb up. And then there was an another bed but the latter to it was broken as well.

I thought it was a good value for a home base for a snowmobile trip , not a big living area to hang out in but it has 6 beds and where there to ride not hang out in the house .

Let me begin by saying we don’t have high expectations after reading the reviews. We were very realistic going into this place that it may not be the cleanest or most equipped. That is true. But I was NOT prepared for just how dirty it actually is or the fact that there is actually black mold in the main bedroom. We were left with one half roll of toilet paper and the place was filthy. Dirty tables (tv stand tables), dirty ladder going to the loft, Dirty socks in the bunk bedroom, dirty hot tub with vomit pile next to the deck. And the hot tub was not full enough so the jets just shoot out all over. Overall, we made the best of it and had fun but would certainly not recommend this rental to anyone. The cleanliness is an issue….. but the black mold is simply inexcusable, especially for families traveling with small children or pets.

Property description is accurate, it is quite small but serves the purpose if you are just sleeping there. We had an infant and toddler and the temps were just so low outside that we found it hard to get the cabin and bedrooms warm enough for the kids to sleep so we ended up going home early. Also the blood on the bathroom light switch should and the mouse poop on the counter hadnt been cleaned prior to arrival.

The property was grossly misrepented , we very much enjoyed the Kalkaska utv trail system. The cabin is filthy with old beds and no real heat system. Not enough towels for the four night stay. We left one day early.

The hot tub was great but it did not look clean. The floater containing the chlorine was empty. The tv had a great selection and the shower was great although I did see a black spider.

We had 5 adults and 2 larger dogs, had plenty of room and was very comfortable. Keep in mind the cabin is a cabin, not a posh upscale hotel, but the hot tub was amazing. The area is very quiet and relaxing. I wish I would have really looked at distances to where our activities were, it was a bit far but that is on me. Our dogs loved the curtains on the rooms, they were able to snoop whenever they wanted, especially if someone was in the bathroom. The only odd thing was part of the check out was you needed to take your garbage with you, but there were no suggestions where you could dispose of it. We had no room in our vehicle to carry it 4 1/2 hours home. We found a dumpster at a construction site but that probably wasn't the legal thing to do. The property owner was very responsive when I messaged him.
