Stayed Jun 5, 2026My kids and I had an enjoyable and relaxing stay in the Copper Top Cottage. Sunrises and coffee on the porch were lovely. Laurel Creek out back was fun to explore. Blankets and beds were ample and cozy. Layout was perfect for our family. The cabin is in close proximity to all that was on our to-do list: biking the Virginia Creeper trail, hiking around White-top Mountain and Grayson Highlands State Park, and seeing wild ponies multiple times. Sweet perk right around the corner was the family pottery business that we enjoyed visiting and patronizing.

Stayed May 29, 2026Everything about this property was amazing ! The creeper trail and all the natural wonders were so much fun ! The highlight of the trip was probably the black bear passing thru as we had coffee the first morning ! My granddaughters had a blast !

Stayed Nov 22, 2025We loved the charming, cozy cottage-beautifully decorated, clean, and set in a stunning spot with mountain sunrises. The peaceful vibe and ever-changing sky made our stay feel special. Its location near Damascus was perfect for exploring Grayson Highlands and biking Virginia Creeper Trail. After last years flooding, we were glad to visit and support this warm, welcoming community. Lovely, helpful host, too!

Stayed Sep 5, 2025Delightful cottage / extremely well equipped with very tasteful and charming decor. Loved the vintage feel and especially the lovely claw foot tub. Location was good but a little closer to the road than we expected based on the description. It is also a minimum of 30 minutes from any real facilities - but we actually enjoyed driving over the mountain. However that is the only minor comment I can make. Host was helpful and responsive too. Will definitely stay here again!

Stayed Aug 1, 2025What a precious home! Only because another family in our group was in a separate VRBO, the lack of texting, calling and GPS availability made a concerning situation since two of the 3 other family members are blind. Not having consistent open lines of communication available was not safe. Now we know. We were in town for the Braves-Reds Bristol game and are thankful we finally found a place to stay after reservations in hotels filled up very fast. What a precious place Damascus is and I hope our contributions to businesses was a blessing to them as rebuilding continues.

Stayed Jun 19, 2025We help with support for hikers (friends) on the AT in the area. The cabin is a perfect location just a few miles from the base camp. Near mt Rogers, and other recreation locations. Comfortable beds and Hot showers, and great location. We will be back next year.

Stayed Nov 3, 2024We loved staying here. Even my kids who I'd don't think would notice how well styled it is and how comfortable that made it to stay there. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, the fire pit in the back nice to use. The only downside was leaving anas in we didn't want to leave and the Google map direct ions were a little weird but we found it and had a great time.

Stayed Sep 26, 2024What a weekend! Hurricane Helene came through on the first day of our stay. Autumn (owner) was fabulous with communication! We lost power and water (she warned us of the very likely possibility). Instead of hiking on the AT and biking on the Creeper Trail we spent our weekend helping neighbors. The house was wonderful and we have already planned a return visit. Thanks for everything!!
