Stayed Oct 9, 2020The cabin looked very nice from the outside but we never Even went inside. After driving over 40 minutes To find this cabin, on mostly a one lane, curvy, isolated road with little to no phone signal and little to no homes or food places, we just left and drove back home. It felt too isolated for us and the few homes we did see in that 40 minute drive were very poorly kept, run down shacks. We didn’t feel safe. We brought no groceries with us because we had planned to eat out for every meal. But after finally arriving we discovered we were too far away from everything. We were 37 miles from Red River Gorge, so I’m not sure why I was given this cabin option when searching for Red River Gorge cabins. We contacted our cabin owners to let them know we were not staying and the lady was very nice and told us our gps took us the long way. She gave us directions to go another way when leaving which still took us 30 minutes with still no food or restaurants in site. We mentioned a refund or even a partial refund but she never offered. Guess we will chalk this one up as a learning experience. It seemed like a nice place but we just want people to be aware of how far away it is from everything before booking this cabin.

Stayed Nov 12, 2024This was a quiet, inspiring week to get away for a personal writing/composing retreat, along with our Siberian Husky, Nadia. Erica was such a fantastic, helpful host--always promptly responding to any questions I had. From the stellar reviews, I knew the cabin would be terrific, but it exceeded all expectations. It was cozy (but quite spacious) and comfortable, with lots of thoughtful touches throughout--and with modern tech available. I prepared all meals there during my stay, and the kitchen was well-equipped. It took a while to get used to driving on the essentially one-lane, winding roads for several miles to access the cabin, but it contributed to the experience! The husky and I daily hiked various trails in and around the Red River Gorge, and seeing and driving through the Nada Tunnel was a highlight! Many thanks to Erica for creating such a lovely retreat space!

Stayed Mar 15, 2024We had a great weekend at Red River Gorge. This was the perfect spot for me and my 2 kids. We had never been here before so did not know what to expect. We got a little confused about the directions but our host was very quick to respond and helped us get there safely. The cabin itself was clean, scenic and comfortable. Only about a 25 minute drive to the state park and attractions. Games and ping pong table were an added bonus for the kids. I HIGHLY recommend staying here. ??

Stayed Oct 30, 2023We stayed four nights at this cabin in the Red River Gorge area. The pictures accurately depict the property and the host was helpful with anything we needed. The cabin was well equipped and decorated nicely. Pick up groceries before your arrival as the winding roads make for a longer trip to the store.
