Stayed Aug 17, 2025The view was gorgeous. It was easy to find and a beautiful drive. It was close to town which had good food, small shops, and character. Colorado Springs was only an hour away. The cabin was clean and had great amenities, incase you forgot something, we enjoyed the Wi-Fi and playing games. Also, good communication with the host made everything easy.

Stayed Jul 20, 2025Beautiful Cabin! This place is tucked into the mountains and has everything you need! Heard bears our first night get into the trash outside but they never came back! Our family of 4 (two teenagers) had the best time and the hot tub was very nice with the weather in the 50's in July. Loved the deck and sat there every morning to drink my coffee. Thanks for the Memories!

Stayed Jun 11, 2025We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It has a rustic feel with all the things you need. Our family enjoyed the game room. We had many fun competitive matches. The kitchen is well stocked. There is no Tupperware though. If you are staying several days and cooking at the cabin you may want to bring some. There is plenty of room for everyone to sleep. The bathrooms have shampoo, condition and body wash, floss, q-tips and ear plugs. We enjoyed the hot tub as well. I would bring some beach towels for the hot tub. Save the bathroom towels. We drank our coffee on the balcony and saw so many animal. Wild turkeys, deer, rabbits, fox, chipmunks and bats at night. It’s very quiet we didn’t hear anything from other neighbors or cars. We weren’t used to the elevation so that took a little while to adjust to. There plenty of coffee options as well. The communication with the property management was quick if we needed anything. They were very helpful and kind. I would recommend this property for couples and families.

Stayed Jun 6, 2025We enjoyed the views from the cabin and thought the layout was really charming. It had a cozy, cutesy vibe and the shared spaces were great for our family to relax and spend time together.Unfortunately, the bunk bed room — which my kids were really excited about — had such a strong dog smell (think: wet dog mixed with feet) that they couldn’t sleep in there. I know it’s a pet-friendly property, but I wasn’t expecting it to be quite so overwhelming.I could’ve looked past that… but then came the rats.First, we found rat poop on the dining room table. With little kids who play on the floor, that was pretty unsettling. I reached out to the property manager and mentioned we were considering checking out early. The response was that she’d love to offer me more nights (which didn’t make sense) but was fully booked. So we stayed, thinking maybe it was just a one-off.Then on our last night, we were woken up by scratching and screeching downstairs. My husband and kids couldn’t sleep at all. The next morning, we found even more droppings — on the floor, table, and even on our sweatshirts. I sent photos to the manager, who said she’d “let the cleaners know.” After I pushed for a more serious response, they offered a one-night refund… which I still haven’t received, a week later.Really disappointing overall. We had high hopes, but I would not stay here again.

Stayed Feb 8, 2025I cannot recommend this stay enough! Great accommodations, excellent game room, tons of hiking right outside your door. Also close to many local attractions. We took a jeep ride around Garden of the Gods, the Royal Gorge train ride, Ice Castles and more. Every day we went on an excursion and still hat time to enjoy the rest house. Definitely plan to come back. Thank you for the memories.

Stayed Jun 30, 2024Our family thoroughly enjoyed the time spent in this rustic getaway. Nestled in the mountains near Cripple Creek, it was the perfect setting to find solace in nature. To be certain, it is anything but “roughing it” as any amenity needed is provided. The cabin is beautiful! There are adventures, activities, entertainment, and dining in and around Teller County. Vacationers can fill days with as much or as little as they wish. A personal favorite was watching the sunset on the deck with a glass of wine. The stars at night are truly an otherworldly sight! Check-in and check-out were made extremely easy with the help of our host Anson with Tailored Stays. He communicated with us often and answered any question we had promptly. Thank you, Anson! We highly recommend this Cripple Creek Retreat! Our small crew ranged in ages 19-78. Something for everyone, many happy memories made. (The only tip we’d offer is to those prone to altitude sickness. The elevation is around 9200’ so make your ascension gradual.) Can’t wait to return someday! the Gray Family
