Rustic Retreat on Private 5 acres with Trout Stream

This was an awesome cabin!! It was not far from downtown Boone. There was plenty of shops and restaurants around. Tweetsie Railroad is just 15 mins away too! Great view of creek below! Bedrooms was spacious and beds slept great! Game room upstairs was a definite plus! Screened porch was very cozy and front porch had wonderful rocking chairs! Hot tub was nice too! Definitely would reccommend this cabin for family getaway! Worth every penny!

We had a fantastic stay at this cabin! The place was clean and fully stocked. We enjoyed the game room and the outdoor spaces. The owner was very responsive when we had an issue with the hot tub. It was fixed the next day! We'd definitely recommend this cabin for large groups.

Cabin was a perfect home for a cozy mountain getaway. Our family had a wonderful time and enjoyed the game room upstairs. The hot tub was also a great addition! The owner even gave me some tips that allowed us to catch multiple fish and provided memories for years to come. This is definitely a house we would book again. Location was conveniently placed near downtown Boone but far enough out to give the right amount of privacy. Lots of hidden gems in this house and if your on the fence, book it!

Great hosts. Great house . Great location ! Loved the beds and linens. Very user friendly kitchen with anything you might need to cook at home but location is awesome and close to dining options and shopping. Will surely visit again.

The house was in a great location. Loved the stream. My son caught a lot of fish. Our family really enjoyed our stay.

The hot tub and the steam shower were nice experience.

The cabin and property were beautiful with a secluded feeling close to everything! The beds were so comfortable and we will definitely be back! The driveway is steep so be careful of it snows to be weary of 2wd.

Host was very responsive and helpful. The house was beautiful, decorated so pretty for Christmas and was adequately stocked to make it feel like home.

The cabin was warm and inviting. Decorated beautifully for the holidays and plenty of space for our group to gather. The screened in porch was bigger than it appeared in the photos and the hot tub sits beneath a lovely covering with ambient lighting. The whole place was lovely and had that real log cabin vibe to it. Special touches throughout show that hosts take pride in the cabin.

The location as advertised is incorrect. We booked because the listing stated a 13 minute walk to Kidd Brewer stadium. Completely false. It is a 1hr and 35 minute walk from this location. The only reason we chose this rental was due to the advertised location. Also, heat did not work in hall bathroom and no instructions were left for shower in master bath. Overall, it was disappointing.

Host is very helpful and communicative. It's a beautiful spot to just sit and enjoy nature and have a wonderful time. Thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and pool table! Pretty much everything that you would need for cooking easy meals there at the house. We had a wonderful stay!

Perfect and as advertised: clean, quiet, close to stores/restaurants, pretty creek in front and multiple fire pit options. We enjoyed the hot tub too! Tammy was quick to respond to any questions we had.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rustic Retreat. The kids loved the game room and that there was a TV in every bedroom. They also enjoyed playing in the creek and exploring the woods. There was plenty of room for everyone. I loved the screened in porch and rocking chairs on the front. It was also decorated for fall. The only drawbacks were that the property is on a pretty busy road. Lots of cars all the time. But that also means it’s very close to town. I did a Walmart delivery for our groceries with no problems. Overall great stay.

The house was decorated so cute for fall. Everything was beautiful and super clean. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. The view of the creek was perfect. The're are lots of things to enjoy on the property my husband and kids were able to walk the creek some and explore. This cabin was awesome secluded but also close to town. We hope to be back again!

It was great location to our wedding venue

We had a wonderful time. Very relaxing. Everything we needed was at the home. The host responded very quickly when we had questions. Our only draw back was the traffic. The house is off a very busy road. Otherwise we do look forward to staying again!

Great for a relaxing week away. Very close to Boone, with fantastic cleanliness and amenities. We only had to call the host once when we arrived with a WiFi issue and she picked up immediately and got us sorted in minutes. Very happy, and would stay again.

Check in was easy. WiFi was good. The cabin provided all the necessities and communication with the host was always great. The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated all Tammy did to try to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

This property may be better than advertised. It is in a great location just a few miles outside of Boone. Close enough to be back into town in minutes but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. Plenty of space for multiple people to sleep and also space to gather in dining area and living room. Would recommend this property to any medium to large group.

The property was beautiful and exactly as described. Everything you need is there. Owner was very responsive and attentive. Loved the blackout drapes (we could sleep late if we wanted to!) Hot tub was wonderful. Great location.

Finally found time to get all the kids together in one place…….and the cabin was a perfect fit for our family. Fully stocked pantry, huge table for us to gather for dinner and games,a pool table that got plenty of use and a great hot tub. Plenty of room for 7 adults and a great hub for our daily outings. Tammy was easy to reach and helpful before and during our trip. A good time was had by all!

It was our annual family vacation.

We enjoyed a wonderful long weekend at the cabin. It was well equipped and the decor was just beautiful. We truly enjoyed the fire pits, hot tub and walking to the creek. Thank you so much for helping us make great family memories.

This cabin was perfect for our family trip to the mountains. We enjoyed fishing and playing in the creek located on the property. The kitchen had all the cookware needed for making family dinners. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the week we spent here and would definitely book again.

This cabin was very clean and beautiful. It has a rustic feel and design with all the amenities of a modern cabin. Tammy, the hostess with the mostess, answered all of my annoying questions very quickly and was most helpful. The only thing that I can say that was just a little less than perfect was the frontage road across the creek that had a lot of traffic and was a little loud if you were out front. Inside, we couldn’t hear anything. Beautiful cabin, you won’t be disappointed!!!!

My family of 5 and our dog enjoyed the expansive property & cozy cabin! Hiking, family game nights & jacuzzi time were exactly what we needed! This cabin & acreage are minutes from everything but far enough away to be peaceful & quiet.

An enjoyable outdoor retreat.

We loved our stay, perfect place for us to spend 4 days between college basketball tournaments. Has everything you need, amazing attention to detail that made the stay so enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Home was perfect and just as listed, host decorated for Christmas which was such a lovely surprise. I had a couple of questions which were answered promptly. Already booked again for next year!

We had a great time with our children and grandchildren. We love to get together as we live in different states. We liked the house being decorated for Christmas. The kitchen was well stocked for large family meals. The location was great. We found it easy to find and we liked the curtains that kept out the light for sleeping in.

Everybody loved the cabin! The game room was a hit but the coziness of the living room with the fireplace was the favorite of most. Christmas decorations were up and made the family Christmas trip even more special. It is the definitely the cleanest and most well stocked cabin our family has used.

The attention to detail on this cabin was exceptional. Festive decor. Lovely views and walks. Almost never leave reviews but this one deserved celebration. Well maintained and the owner cares. The location on VRBO is inaccurate by several miles but we got quick validation

Everything about the home was perfect! Very cozy for our thanksgiving weekend with family. She had the place decorated for Thanksgiving and had everything we needed. Another thing that was so nice is that she had plenty of towels and blankets. So many times you stay at a place and do not have enough of either of those! Tammy was very responsive to all of my questions and very helpful!

Stayed at this cabin with 5 friends on our annual football reunion weekend. Cabin was a great location, only a couple miles from downtown Boone. Plenty of room and very nicely decorated. Enjoyed the game room.

This cabin provided every need or desire we could imagine. The kitchen was so well supplied and the linens were top quality. Decorations were perfect and we loved our stay.

This cabin is beautiful and Tammy was a wonderful host, unfortunately our stay was cut short due to the hurricane. We will definitely be back! Our hearts & prayers are with the high country!

Once we made it to the cabin, we really loved the location and the house. The Hot tub looked dirty so we didn't use it but I'm very cautious. My daughter loved the upstairs entertainment area. Highly recommend this property. We played pool for hours.. . tubs.

This property had something for everyone in my 5 person family. I loved the giant screen porch and the kids loved all the toys upstairs and the hot tub. The only downside was it was close enough to the road to hear traffic all the time. However we still enjoyed our time on the property and would recommend it.

I enjoyed the property very much! It would have been easier if we could have talked with someone directly about the booking. The only problem with the property was the steam shower stopped up.

My family of 11 thoroughly enjoyed our mountain vacation! The creek was perfect for the little ones, ages 9 to 1, to play in. The cabin had everything we needed to cook big family meals, enjoy time around the fire pit and pool tables and just hang out together. Location was great in that it was so convenient to Boone. The road noise did make it slightly less serene on the porch but was wasn’t too bad. Overall great place to stay!
