Totally enjoyed the stay here 100% kinda got on the wrong trail at first and the owner was quick to respond when I called. The view is amazing! Was not far from Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, two places we visited and the Forbidden Cavers is a must too. Thank you for everything!

The hosts was great and helped us with anything that we needed. When we first got there the cabin was full of Asian Beatles (the kind that looks like ladybugs) they were all over Tennessee but particularly on our first day there were over 500 inside and close to a couple thousand surrounding it. The hosts was quick to accommodate and help us find solutions to get them out. I vacuumed twice a day to keep them at a minimum but more were making their way in throughout the stay. In attempt to keeping the bugs out of the cabin, you could tell the cabin didn't get detail cleaned often as we came across quite a bit of dust and dirt. The trash can for the cabin was a small trash can that would be used for a bathroom or small office. So it made taking trash out a bit of a task. It was shown that trash would be picked up every 3 days but out of 7 days our trash was never picked up so it did pile up outside. The closet door in the bedroom was detached and barley hanging on so we avoided using it. The bathroom seemed to have an odd smell of the door was closed for any significant time and the shower wouldn't get much above Luke warm. The heater in the cabin had seen better days and was loud when turned on. The cabin has heat but it seemed to work mainly in the bed room and the bathroom, the rest of the cabin didn't warm up much. We had a busy agenda so we didn't spend much time inside the cabin but it could use some closer attention. The mountain view was incredible though.

The cabin has stunning views. It was clean and organized as well. Make sure you bring an AWD vehicle. The road was steep and challenging. I thought I was not gonna make it in my 2WD SUV

I really wanted to like this little cabin. The view is beautiful. The seclusion and privacy is great. The hot tub is nice and relaxing. But the cabin itself is in need of some maintenance/upkeep and just general cleaning. There was a broken closet door. The AC unit covers had a thick layer of dust on them. There were many lightbulbs out or missing throughout the cabin. Fruit flies were a problem in the kitchen and bathroom. There were also no paper products (napkins, paper towels, Kleenex) stocked. The lock on the front door was broken. The outside patio chairs were ripped and torn. The loft area is only like 3-4 feet tall so just know that you will have to crawl around up there. I did not realize this as the pictures don’t really show this. Overall, if some of these general maintenance items were fixed or addressed, this little cabin could be 5 stars. Oh, do heed the warnings on the road up to the cabin, it is very steep and bumpy and you definitely need AWD/FWD!

The Rustic Mountain Retreat is a small, cute cabin with an amazing view off the deck. My husband and I went for our 10 year wedding anniversary and it was perfect for the two of us. The hot tub isn’t super private as there is the Wilderness cabin drive rite by the fire pit for this cabin, but it still feels private enough. The road leading up to the cabin is pretty rough in some spots but we had fun with it since we have a Jeep Wranger and it kinda felt like we were off roading. I feel like the only down side we had with the cabin was the shower is definitely on the small side. I’m 5’ and 115 lbs and it was a tight squeeze for me. But other than that we really enjoyed the quietness in the area.

We enjoyed our stay with our daughter and pets. The host welcomed our dog and cat which was such a blessing! The cabin is small but it is beautiful with beautiful views and has everything you need. The loft is super cool too!

This is the second time we have stayed at this cabin and third time overall staying at one of Tammy’s properties and I can’t say enough good things. It’s affordable, beautiful views and Tammy is wonderful. Only thing I’d say is, I wouldn’t suggest this to “groups” it’s really made for a couple and their children. It’d be a tight squeeze for adults to sleep in the loft area but kids would love it!

Cabin was nice. Very clean. It’s great if you’re wanting to spend most of your time at the cabin relaxing. It was very peaceful and the view off the deck overlooking the mountains is absolutely amazing. It was mid summer and very hot so we didn’t use the hot tub or the fire pit but I’m sure those would be great in the cooler months. We planned on coming and going a lot during our stay so going up and down the mountain was kind of a chore but luckily we had a good truck with 4x4 for the mountain road. Overall we were pretty happy with our stay and would most likely come back.

Made it up to the cabin in a FWD sedan fairly easily by following instructions, signs, and scouting ahead on foot. Very comfortable bed in cramped MBR. Photos make cabin look better than it actually is. Feels very cramped in shower, faucet handle fell off. Blinds are damaged, one is difficult to open. The good views are in one limited direction only. It is tight to turn car around to head back down. Someone's car was parked at the wilderness trailhead quite close to the cabin. We didn't see any people, but that made it feel a lot less private .

A great little cabin tucked away on the mountain and very private. A little small for 6 people but if you have the right group then it’s a fun experience being so tight
