Rustic Cozy Cabin just yards from the lake!

Me and my boys had a great time. Cabin was clean and the owner was a pleasure to deal with.

The cabin was adorable and it was just what we needed for a couple’s get away! My husband and I went alone, but there is more than enough room for families with the other bedroom and loft. We know our kids would love it too. Highly suggest checking it out if you want to unplug for a bit!

Our host was very accommodating and responsive. The cabin was wonderful and cozy! It had everything we needed and parking for two vehicles. Our family enjoyed the board games that were provided and the beautiful view of the lake as well as the wildlife!

Host was very responsive. Cabin was clean and met all our need for a nice getaway.

Kathleen was wonderful, the cottage was great. Visited 3 local wineries and had dinner at Glass. Definitely talking about going back in nicer weather

Everything is as advertised. Peaceful and quiet locatio with deer in the yard every morning. The lake is a short walk down the hill and plenty to do in the nearby area.

We had a wonderful time my kids enjoyed going fishing and being close to the lake. We also enjoyed all the deer that would come to the property!!

We enjoyed our week long stay in this cozy cabin. It's just a short walk to Lake Wallenpaupack where my husband caught a couple small bass. Cabin location was perfect--close to 3 great restaurants on Rt. 507 plus several more in Hawley. We enjoyed antiquing in Hawley & Honesdale as well as visiting Promised Land State Park where my husband caught a large catfish, so he was happy! The park has a concession stand with a variety of lunch foods which was very convenient. Also, the neighborhood around the cabin was very quiet and 5 small deer wandered around the houses, which we enjoyed watching.

Nice little cabin that is close to our favorite lake. Check in and Wi-Fi was fine. Loved having the air conditioners and the ceiling fans.

This was a cozy cabin as described. Great location, within walking distance to the lake. Quiet neighborhood with friendly wildlife. We had a great time. Would definitely recommend this one to family and friends.

Had a wonderful weekend up in Tafton. The owner was great in communicating. Check in/out was a breeze. The place was sweet. Slept great. Loved exploring all around the little neighborhood and checking out all the pretty lake houses. Already told her that I am planning on coming back with some more family. Could easily sleep 4-6 adults. Want to go back when its warmer to go in the water. The lake was GORGEOUS. Thank you again.

The cabin was rustic but quiet. The furnishings were older and well used but appropriate for the cabin. Plenty of beds and kitchen dishes and utensils. Beautiful access to the lake and surrounding recreational activities.

We had a great time at the property but my only concern was the cleanliness. We had the option to be charged a cleaning fee or do our own cleaning and leave it the exact way we found it. We decided to clean it ourselves but it just led us to think that a deep cleaning is rarely done. Aside from that, I would absolutely come here again as it was overall a great stay.

It was a very beautiful property. We had a lot of fun. We did a lot of hiking. It was a really nice Cabin.

Very clean and cozy cabin! The kitchen contained everything needed to easily cook and serve meals. Cleaners were plentiful as well as cleaning equipment, which I appreciate (In many rentals I cannot even find a single broom)! Wonderful view of the lake, very walkable neighborhood, lots of hiking trails nearby. Be sure to stop at the visitor's center for information on nearby attractions.

A much needed escape from busy city life. Pictures are very accurate to what the property looks like, so you can expect what you are paying for. Kathleen was extremely helpful and communicative during the entire booking, checkin, and check out process. You will not be disappointed in booking this property. As a hidden oasis, there is still plenty of things to explore in this town. I highly recommend staying here! We will be back!

It was very nice. Missed the bears though!

My nephew was looking for some nostalgia. When he was young we used to take him often to lakes up here in Pennsylvania during the winter season to go ice fishing.. He’s now 30 years old and asked to do this together for Christmas! He actually picked out this house. He wanted it to be like others we had stayed at. Cozy and cute. We had a fantastic time! The pictures shown are exactly what the house looks like. My husband and my nephew fished on and off throughout the day, I spent my days cooking and baking in the kitchen, spending some needed alone time, read and slept.. The house was well equipped, with what we needed.We would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable, cozy and full of charm, this cabin has all the little things you need. Rustic with a modern twist, it’s clean, warm (we stay in the winter), equipped with all the amenities of a home kitchen, and surprisingly spacious. The host is very accommodating and responsive. We have stayed here numerous times and are looking forward to another trip in 2025!

Where to begin? Although the location by the lake is beautiful, the property itself has various issues. First off, the odor of mold and mustiness hits hard. This odor lingers throughout the cabin including the bedroom. There’s every reason to believe that whatever bedding is on the beds has never been washed. The full sized bed is obviously overused because my husband and I kept sinking into the middle of the hard mattress. Living room furniture is very dated and nasty with musty odor, also way overused. The whole cabin needs a serious upgrade and DEEP cleaning by the HOST, not just passersby. Will not return to THIS property nor will I recommend booking it.

This is our third time staying at this cottage. Great weekend as always. We look forward to going back in the future.

The cabin is cute and cozy. It was perfect for our girls weekend. We sat on the deck, took naps on the comfy couch and toasted hot dogs and marshmallows over the campfire. There were 2 things that would have made this weekend perfect. First, the oven was difficult to operate. The owner sent a video how to turn it on which was helpful but still took us a while to get it going. After breakfast was cooked it took a text conversation with the owner to figure out how to turn it off. Secondly, the garbage. There is nowhere to dump your trash so any garbage you generate has to leave with you. Yes, this is in the contract, but I signed that in July and forgot about it. Lastly, the wifi. If you want wifi access you have to pay $25. The bed was comfy, the hearing worked and the toilet flushed.

LOVED the deer that came right up to you outside to be fed, added bonus! Owner was very east to communicate with and always responded in timely manner. Would highly recommend!
