Rustic Cabin minutes from New River Gorge National Park and downtown Oak Hill.

A beautiful refurbished cabin so rustic and comfortable with all the mod cons needed the views around the cabin were wonderful. The owners have made every effort to ensure a restfull stress free stay

Everything was just ok from the interior to the exterior landscaping. I know it is a cabin but needs some furniture updates. Never could get the large tv to link to the wi-fi.

The most incredible weekend getaway!!! The owner is incredibly nice and very knowledgeable of the property. The cabin had everything we could have possibly needed. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!!!!

Lovely cabin very close to the northern side of the New River Gorge National Park! It’s about 15 minutes from the Bridge/Canyon Rim Visitor Center and 40 minutes from the Sandstone Visitor Center. I loved that it was pet friendly, and that it was in the back of a neighborhood so we were looking at trees and not someone’s house. Nice sized bedroom, living room, and kitchen. Cute fire pit with chairs as well! Definitely would stay here again! About 24 mins to Beckley for more dining options.

This cabin is ideally located for visiting the New River Gorge National Park. The host, Tiffany, was responsive to my questions and made the check-in and check-out process very easy.

Loved the vibe of the rustic cabin and the weather when we were there in April was spectacular.two things came up though: 1. We were not able to get the cable to work which caused a little problem. No TV and no internet connection for our laptops.2. There were no lamps for reading, just overhead lights and no tables next to the bed which would have been convenient.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in the area.

The cabin was clean and the decor was beautiful. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location for New River Gorge hiking and exploring. Authentic cabin feel.

The kitchen was not fully equipped for cooking. There were no useable pots or skillets. But it was advertised as dishes and utensils. I just assumed that there would be at least one pot or skillet. The internet was very spotty. We were not able to connect to the internet to watch tv and our phones cut out. The place was clean

This was a wonderful place for me, my boys, and dog. Close to the park. Quiet, beautiful sunrises, highly recommend.

Lovely. Only one lamp, there was overhead lighting. Could have used more bathroom amenities, soap, more towels, floor mats.No check out directions, hope we did the right thing.Warm and cozy!

Cabin was very clean, bed was comfy and the shower was new and worked very well. Host was very communicative and check in was easy. The location was great for visiting the National Park and it was quite a unique place to stay, which we love! Felt like we took a step back in time for a few days!

Clean cozy cabin with a nice fire pit outback. Very quiet but not too far from all the action!

Cozy one bed cabin close to interstate access. The lot was quiet at night, at the end of a dead end drive. The bed was comfortable. The view was gorgeous. Would stay again for a pit stop through WV. The living area is sunken in the middle, supports may need to be investigated in the future. Otherwise wouldn't say I had an issue with the property.

The rustic cabin was beautiful and the location was lovely. Deer outside on the huge lawns every day. Gorgeous views of the countryside. Great location! Nice homey touches in the cabin.

We were late arriving at the property. Check in is at 4 we got there at 5 and a person was coming out of the cabin. Host said it was the housekeeper bringing over clean washcloths. I thought ok, towels and washcloths should have been in cabin (2 washcloths, 3 hand towels and 1 bath towel!) but when I opened the door the musty smell was overwhelming. You couldn't open the windows because of the age of the cabin. The smell comes from the nasty filter in the portable ac unit that sits inside the front door. I swiped the filter one time with a paper towel, and it was dirty with dust and hair. To say the cabin has ac is an understatement, the bedroom def does not. Thank God for the ceiling fan. There is an outside light attached to the garage that never goes off. Pretty sure the light can be seen from space. The bedroom window faces that way. There are no blinds on the window. Oh, I always like a good mop bucket in my bedroom! What really worried me is that you can't take a shower and use the stove at the same time which is an obvious electrical issue. THERE ARE NO SMOKE DETECTORS IN A 200 YEAR OLD WOODEN HOUSE! Sure all the reviews say the cabin is cozy......that is about all will give it!

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It is just as it is described. It is extremely cozy and comfortable. It was a great retreat after a day in the park of hiking. We enjoyed the property as well. We sat out and had wine in the evening and coffee in the morning. We highly recommend the rustic cabin, and we will definitely go back if we are in the area.

Loved the decor inside! The smart tv was a great bonus. Everything was clean and the bed and furniture were comfortable.

When we first drove up, we were a little leery since the yard needed TLC. When we stepped into the house it was clear that the great reviews and ratings were well warranted. The place is very clean and comfortable. The owners have done a great job of maintaining the house's old feel while adding the modern conveniences we take for granted.

We really enjoyed our time here. This was a great place for our first (but not last) visit to West Virginia.We toured a Ghost town, did the Bridge Walk and had some great food.It was awesome to come back here after a busy day and relax. We really enjoyed reading the history of the property, and totally understand why the owners fell in love with it.

Nice quiet place our of the way and yet super close to everything

This is a great little cabin with everything you need. It was a wonderful jumping off place for us for adventures all through central West. Virginia. We loved reading about the history of the property. The owners were very easy to communicate with. We’d highly recommend this place if you’re anywhere near Nee River Gorge. The only thing we’d recommend is bringing your own reading light if you like to read in bed.

Charming little cabin with an interesting history, very clean, very nice hosts, and you couldn't ask for a more convenient location for visiting the New River area. The only small thing we thought was missing was a carbon monoxide alarm (because of the gas heaters), so you may want to bring one of your own along if you're there during cold weather.

We had a 4 day retreat in Oak Hill West Virginia and the property was as advertised and well worth the cost, and I would stay there again.

Site has historic significance, in a beautiful natural setting, was clean and comfortable, with a thoughtful, responsive host.

Just what we needed. Such a beautiful place, especially in the fall. Kitchen was adequately stocked but we brought everything we needed. Cozy beds and plenty of warmth. The grounds are gorgeous and steeped in deep history that is explained on a print out in the cabin. We will be back!

What a great place to stay if you’re looking for something cozy and rustic while exploring the New River Gorge National Park. The cabin is comfortable and the hosts are friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

Loved sitting around bonfire at dusk and watching the deer and in morning out kitchen window. Very relaxing place to stay, and if in area again will stay here.

We love the history. Although the home is old, it has all of the necessary modern provisions. The wifi for our personal devices worked fine, but we weren't able to get the TV to connect properly, so we did what we should do more of and read. Tiffany was great to work with. They worked hard to make this home special!

Beautiful property on a serene setting. Great spot for birding and a home base for New River attractions.

Stayed here to explore the New River Gorge area and this was a great place to do that. The cabin was comfortable, clean, and convenient. The ONLY thing we would recommend is the yard light be able to be turned off
