I wanted to unplug from the rat race. This was heavenly I want to bring more friends next time. 2 friends came and stayed 4 hours on Friday. But next time I hope to have some friends stay over night. Everyone thought the bath and old kitchen were great. That little space heater in the bath room really works well !!!
I wish we could have had more time to spend here! Beautiful rustic cabin. The property is quiet & peaceful & is beautifully located on a hill/pond. We enjoyed visiting the little town of Rabbit Hash nearby. The cabin has everything you might need. Dan the host was very communicative & helpful. Very happy with our stay!!
If you’re looking for an amazing retreat in nature, look no further! With over 50 acres to explore, you won’t be disappointed. The only thing more amazing is how wonderful and hospitable Dan is. We’ll be back again in July!
The cabin was beautiful!! I loved the stay and the views, it was peaceful. The only thing that I can complain about is me paying for a cleaning fee yet the cabin wasn’t the cleanest. The pull out bed on the couch still had a dirty sheet on it and had dirt and dead bugs all over it. Wrappers in the couch and chairs. I feel I should get reimbursed for my cleaning fee since my stay was not cleaned and my gf had to clean everything.
We have a great relaxing weekend getaway with our family. It was clean, peaceful and fun. Enjoyed visit Rabbit Hash. Had great communication with the owner. Will definitely be back.
Nice relaxing environment. Thanks for tips and cozy environment!
We had a wonderful time exploring the property. It’s breathtaking! It was everything we hoped it would be and the cabin was so perfect. The screened in porch was a favorite for sure. We platted games every night. The fishing, bug, and animal scouting was a blast. I would highly recommend this spot. The host was helpful and very communicative.
My husband and some friends and I stayed at this cabin for the weekend, my husband and I got married at the park and we stayed here. Super rustic and eclectic, the owner has super awesome knowledge of the history of the property and the town and has a cemetery on the property (we heard rabbit hash was a haunted town and we’re super intrigued so we just got lucky that there was a cemetery on the property) we definitely felt some spirit energy there but all very peaceful energy! It was the absolute perfect cabin we could have stayed at this weekend to make it an absolutely perfect wedding weekend! Gorgeous views on the property, absolutely beautiful property. The driveway is steep and gravel secluded with forest surrounding. The path on the right that you pass on the driveway and the one across the driveway from the house both lead to the cemetery where you can pay respect to the property’s ancestors. We had trouble finding it the first night because we thought it was the path in between the two houses on the property by the pond in back. Thank you so much for being so kind and hospitable, and trusting of your guests. An unforgettable time in my life! We will treasure the memories in your cabin forever!
We came for a wedding in Florence and decided on this cabin for its uniqueness. It was a lovely trip back in time to a simpler life. The property was quiet and lush, and we enjoyed the antiques throughout the property. We fell in love with Rabbit Hash as well. The food at Hip E's was amazing! Try their gumbo -- some of the best I've had. Folksiders was easily my favorite store for the beautiful art and jewelry. However, the Rabbit Hash General Store was a close second, where I found a cute dress and other local goodies. Terrie, the manager and proprietor was incredible, and we enjoyed chatting with her. We wish we would have had more time in the town. Overall, an excellent trip and one that we won't forget. On a side note, do not use Google maps to try and find the cabin! It will lead you to a bridge past the town, along the river.
If you're looking for a quiet getaway with a relaxing atmosphere, then this is your place! And it's convenient to so many wonderful activities! Hiking, river rafting, good food, casino, and spectacular views of the Ohio River valley. And the cabin itself is so tastefully decorated and has this rustic charm that wraps you in comfort and memories of days gone by.
We stayed in the cabin in lieu of a hotel for my son’s travel baseball tournament in cincy. It was such a great place to relax before and after the games each day. We didn’t want to spend a lot of time running around so we brought groceries with us. Plenty of room for food in the fridge and freezer for a few days. Lots of space to store our food/etc without cluttering up the cabin. Plenty of towels in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable. We used the kayaks and brought my paddle board and our kayak paddles from home. We visited the general store a couple of times and also ate at Hip E’s. Really great trip, will definitely book again.
