Luzerne, Michigan
This is a half log exterior cabin with knotty pine interior walls throughout. The cabin is surrounded by pine trees to give that nestled in the woods feeling while providing you with in town living. Just a few blocks away (walking distance in the summer) from Ma Deeters (a well known dining experience for this area). Trail heads are just a block away. Don't have the toys to play on the trails with That's ok, you can rent them from Luzerne Express just up the road. The AuSable River is only a 10 minute drive (you can also rent tubes and canoes from Luzerne Express). The Boardwalk is a great little location just a five minute drive from the cabin that gets overlooked because it is not advertised much but I highly recommend it.
**NO ANIMALS PERMITTED ON THIS PROPERTY. **
Unfortunately the minority have ruined it for everyone. I am no longer allowing animals at this site due to damages caused. Please do not ask, my answer will be no.
Inside the home you will find an entrance where you can set down your luggage, coats, boots, snowmobile gear, etc. There are two small steps (4” & 8”) to get into the main living area. There is a spacious kitchen that offers a dining table for four. The full bathroom complete with all linens is just off the kitchen. There are two bedrooms. One bedroom is located just off the kitchen has a queen sized bed. The second bedroom has a full size bed and is just off the living room. All bedding is provided and there are extra blankets available for those chilly winter nights. The living room has all leather furniture (loveseat - and a chair), a smart tv (you must enter your password for Netflix or Hulu) and electric fireplace for ambiance. Just past the living room is a small game room where you can play darts, chess or checkers. Going out through the game room you will find a screened in seating area perfect for eating outside without the bugs. There is a propane grill for use. It is not monitored for cleanliness or propane. There is one 9” step down into this space. The home has forced air heat and a wall air conditioning unit in the living room. Fans are also available for use. This home is not wheelchair accessible.
Out back is a spacious yard with a fire pit for your use (I do not offer firewood, you must seek that out or pay extra to have it there for your use). There is a cute little outhouse that is in working condition for those days your buddy (or spouse) is hogging the bathroom inside.
The garage is not available for guest use.
Beautiful charming cabin so close to the ORV trails and Huron Manistee forest. The cabin had everything you need to make the trip relaxing. We really enjoyed the coffee bar and hammocks to relax in by the campfire. We went to Madeeters restaurant that is nearby and the food was excellent. We will definitely come back!
We had many hesitancies about this place, how small it is, the close neighbors, the age/wear of cottage, but holy cow did we enjoy all of it! We thought it might be hard to relax but it wasn't and the neighbors/town were great! We even got to see a parade, fireworks! Our teenagers had to get creative to be entertained (and without their phones) and that was great too. They enjoyed the walking trail, playing games, reading...getting back to nature, visiting Lewiston, playing corn hole....
The cabin is very cozy and in a very remote little non-town. There's enough things to do on a rainy day, the beds are comfy, the towels are soft and plentiful and everything you need is thought of.
My husband and I had a great stay at this facility. It’s in a great location, close to fun restaurants/bars and walking trails. The bedrooms are small with no closets/limited hanging room. They had really nice hammocks for us to use outside for an afternoon nap!
Great stay
This is our second year staying here and we already have it booked for next august it’s clean cute and affordable I love the coffee variety beds are comfy too. Tried Deeters restaurant this time it has really good food.
From the online process and communication with Traci everything went extremely smoothly. Check in process easy checkout process even easier. Cabin comes with everything you need. Bring your food and you’re good to go! We enjoyed our stay, and will be back
Very nice place to stay.
We were looking for an out of the way place for quietness. We got it. Very nice place to stay. Went to ma deeters for dinner and it was very good. We took coffee, but cabin had a Keurig and all the accessories. We went to Coopersville and walked around. Neat stuff to look at.
Had a great first VRBO experience. This place was well kept and it was obvious great care was taken to provide a good experience. We didn't expect this much attention to detail for our possible needs. The only down was we didn't know it was so close to the neighbors and a lot of 4-wheel traffic or prep for the hunting season noise. Great job overall!
The cottage was very clean & cute. Lots Informative information of things to do. Lots of emenities. Would recommend.
Nice comfortable and clean
We where going to grill out but the propane grill was empty. Called and was told the store down the road sold propane. We think that was ther job not ours to pay and fill there tank. Had to go out and buy supper and take our food back home.
Our family has used this VRBO often and are never left wanting anything or that feeling of oh I wish I would have brought this from home, the rental has all you need!
Trail head is very close. Also stores and restaurant nearby. Ma deeters was great
Property was nice, had a little issue with water pressure, but host communicated issues right away
Had an amazing time riding the trails seeing new sights and simply enjoying the up north atmosphere
