Roskamp ~ Riverfront Cabin with Large Yard, Seasonal River Dock & Boats

Really enjoyed our stay! Great cottage on the river with lots of charm!!

My girlfriend and I get together every year for a girls weekend of relaxation, wine drinking and crafting. This place was amazing. It was spacious, comfortable and easy to keep warm for those cold winter days. Can,t wait to come back again for another peaceful weekend.

The stay was nice, very pretty location. The home is very dated and the mattresses in the bedrooms, not very good quality, but overall it was clean and comfortable. As a San Francisco native, I’ve been vacationing on the river since I was a child and still love it and I was happy to share the experience with my daughter and grandchildren.

This property is the perfect getaway for a family trip. We had a great time! Location is convenient and very close to downtown guerneville. We will definitely be returning to Roskamp for our next stay!

We love Guernville and have stayed on the Russian River many times in vacation rentals. We paid $2960.64 for 7 nights based on photos, the location on the river and our trust in VRBO. We have only dealt with owners on VRBO. This was our first and last time dealing with a property management company. I have photos and videos to document all the complaints on this rental. Upon arrival, there was a giant black widow nest right next to the front door complete with eggs covering the key box. When I entered the home, there were ant traps in every room. There were 5 in the motorhome size bathroom. I began to notice the home was dirty with a layer of dust on all the base boards and trim on the doors and cabinets and ceiling fans. There were cobwebs on the ceilings and along the railings on the back deck. In every single window sill screen track were dead bodies of ants that had not even been vacuumed out. I don't know when the last time this place was thoroughly cleaned. We had driven 5 hours to get there and we were anxious to start our relaxing vacation in the redwoods so we just went with it. The ants started arriving in full force on day 3. They were crawling in the bed, up the walls, everywhere. Then we discovered a yellow jack nest on the inside of the dining room window!! The house was badly maintained in other ways and very neglected. The day before our departure, I emailed Russian River Vacation Homes and told them I was very disappointed in our experience and I was going to leave a 1 Star review. Ellen emailed me back gaslighting me with blame that I should have contacted her sooner, minimizing what I was reporting and deflecting on their lack of responsibility to the client. She also stated in her email that 'all the homes we manage, is professionally cleaned and inspected between guests. It can happen, especially in our rural location, that ants or mice or bugs can make their way inside. It does not mean that the home is not being looked after or cleaned. ' Really Ellen? We have rented homes on the Russian River prior; no pests and spotless units. In order for RosKamp to meet the standards for VRBO it would take at least 8 to 10 hours for a deep cleaning. The expectation is to arrive to a VRBO home that is clean, maintained and bug free. Those expectations were not met and we are out $2960.64 because we had to stay in squalor~ There is no fixing that Ellen and your company has 23 1 Star reviews on yelp with similar complaints go figure!

This is an older home but great location. The town of Guernville and near by Sebastopol are adorable towns. The owner responds quickly to your questions just ask! For example,when we asked of the kayaks she informed us that the Russian River was too low this Spring season for us to enjoy the kayaking. And it was very low. The property mgmt also responded very quickly to a house repair. Downtown Guernville is very close and we found a bike rental shop with a fabulous bike trail.

Easy check in, nice backyard, great dock by the river, close to everything, house could need some upgrades, you hear the cars driving by in the night.

Nice practical cabin with great back yard and tons of outdoor games and activities available. Only downside was the noise from the road.
