Gorgeous area with beautiful views, quiet and romantic. Wonderful hosts!
We got married at Delfosse last June and came back this June for a weekend to celebrate. The property is stunning. Being at the top of the vineyard overlooking the rolling mountains is something to experience yourself. We brought supplies for a paint and sip and had a blast! We will certainly be back :)
For peace, relaxation, and listening to nature (winds, rain, birds) this is a great place to be. The outside of the cabin and the surrounding views of the vineyard are exceptional. Other details: 1. Hosts are very accomodating, readily available, and friendly. 2. This location is not difficult to get to and far enough away from any traffic and other noises. 3. Wifi is very good 4. In our opinion, the interior of the cabin was smaller than the photos would leave you to believe but it is not claustrophobic-type small. Anyone over 6' 3 will have to duck down a little in the main living area and certainly in the loft. I'm 6' and cleared the living area ceiling beams with a few inches to spare. 5. There are many gas stations with grocery items nearby. 6. The shower is very small and thin. 7. No washer or dryer (we did not expect there to be one nor did we need one) I had to give this cabin a rating of 4 because the cleanliness just wasn't there (at least to our expectations). The exterior of the cabin is wonderful but all the cushions were dusty and dirty. I don't think it would've taken a lot to sweep or hose down everything before guests arrive. I intially thought someone had not flushed the toilet, however, it was just the permanent yellow stain in the bowl. The shower floor has the same staining. Wine glasses had finger/mouth prints on them. The refrigerator and freezer had not been cleaned. In our opinion, the cabin just didn't seem ready for arriving guests. Overall, it is the exterior that makes this property memorable. It is truly beautiful.
Beautiful remote setting, overlooking pond and vineyard. Charming log cabin well suited to entertain. Was exactly what we were looking for on a spectacular fall weekend. Highly recommend.
It didn’t appear that the property was kept up with. A mirror was cracked, the kitchen faucet was about to fall off, remotes for the ceiling fans didn’t work, and the tongue and groove ceiling in the bedroom was falling apart. In addition to a phone booth size shower, the temperatures were set way too warm knowing guess we’re coming in. The cabin is on a winery, but yet nothing was included or discounted. Still a nice, cozy little cabin, but too expensive for what you get.
The cabin was the perfect setting for a romantic getaway. We started the weekend with a wine tasting at the winery and then spent the evening sitting on the porch listening to the rain and enjoying a bottle of wine we had purchased after our tasting. We also enjoyed a quiet morning on the porch listening to the birds and enjoying the view, tucked away out of sight from those who came to the winery for tastings. The location was perfect for an afternoon of winery and brewery visits in the afternoon.
