River's Edge Cabin - Swim - Kayak - Fish From Your Backyard !!!!

It was so peaceful and quiet. Sitting on the deck and hearing the water was very relaxing.

We had a wonderful, but crazy weather, weekend in the Highlands! The cabin was perfect despite all of the seasons we experienced in one single weekend!

Unique property with lots of character. It was very comfortable, the river was beautiful and my son caught 2 fish just steps from the house. The hosts were truly great. I loved it and we hoped to go back next spring

Very nice location.

Loved being right on the water. It was a short drive to waterfalls and the highlands downtown. We loved the visiting the dry falls which was only about 10 min drive from the property. Additionally, it was nice to just hang at the house, play in the water and grill out dinner. We plan on returning soon!

Clean, comfy and close to many activitues and downtown Franklin. Loved our stay!!

It was exactly what we needed to get away for just a few days. We didn't even have to bring our toothbrush the house was well stocked for our stay.

Everything was perfect, including the new mirror, with one exception. I was in town visiting aged parent so Wi-Fi was important for my downtime. Unfortunately it was very frustrating because I had to reboot the modem a minimum of 5 times a day and on one occasion as many as 15 times. If you don’t need Wi-Fi it’s a great place to stay. Very clean and kitchen had all the necessary items for cooking.

It is a beautiful, very clean older place. It was easy to find. The only drawback was the neighbor with the red SUV. On our first morning there, she banged on the door actually scaring us. We had parked in the gravel in front of our cottage. She informed us with balled up fists on her hips that we had to move our vehicle. Later, we drove how she could have gone around us. We were not blocking her in.

My kids had a blast playing on the river all day!! We only stayed for 3 nights, but I'll definitely come back for longer next time!! I did check out early on a Sunday, so I brought the trash to the recycling center Saturday before they closed, a slight inconvenience, but I would'nt ding them for that.

This property is exactly right for a summer weekend away - the water access cannot be beat and lots of great hiking nearby. The cabin is comfortable and well equipped. It was really special to be able to bring our dog- she loved sitting on the front porch watching the fireflies (and rabbits) in the field.

Super spot for me near the bottom of the Franklin-Highlands road. I was there for a family emergency, but I can’t wait to come back and put those kayaks to good use. There was an administrative issue that created some problems with check-in, but the hosts did everything they could to resolve the issue. Great people! Being able to sit out on the back porch over the Culasaja River was so peaceful and I really enjoyed listening to the roiling water as I drifted off to sleep. The bed was very comfortable and I had everything I needed except a full length mirror. Thank you so much! Can’t wait to come back!

One of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. It is right on the river so we stayed on the deck most of the time we were at the cabin and listened to the river and watched and fed the geese and their babies as they swam by. Coffee in the mornings and reading on the deck was so relaxing while enjoying the river. The cabin was very clean and had everything you needed to make it feel like home. We highly recommend this cabin.

The setting is beautiful, sounds of the river are relaxing. The little cabin is charming with everything hyoid might need. Location is convenient to everything. Highly recommend.

The house is cute and has everything needed for a relaxing and calming time. Being able to sit outside and listen to the water rushing by and taking a quick dip or raft, kayak trip was also a wonderful experience. My doggo also had a wonderful timne playing and he felt super relaxed in the space as well.

This charming cabin on the river was perfect for our 3-day stay in the Franklin area. Furnishings were comfortable and the cabin was cozy and warm during the cool evenings. The deck looked so inviting but the drizzly cold weather kept us from spending our evenings out there. Next time!

This property is ideal. Right on the river. Can walk down and wade or sit in chairs at water. Minutes from Franklin. It does have neighbors across river and beside home but that didn’t take away from peaceful location.

we usually come to n.c to ride the blueridge and roads off it. rivers edge nice quiet place and relaxing. been coming here for about past 4 years and we enjoy it

We were looking for a relaxing cabin on a river and THIS was the perfect place! 4 days of beauty right out the back door! While enjoying coffee each morning and a cold beverage at night, we were drawn to take in the view, the sound of the river and the peacefulness of nature. We will definitely be back!

A weekend getaway for my husband and I at Rivers edge cabin. We went to Highlands, Dry Falls, and Franklin. Rivers edge is very peaceful, it was nice to sit on the back porch, drink coffee and listen to the water. Husband fished our first night in the river behind the cabin, and caught a bass! Nice place for relaxing, peace and quiet.

I can't say enough good things about this stay. This cottage was a perfect get away. Lots of little things they thought of, nic nac basket with some of the things you may have forgotten. It is right on the river and that made the warm weather o so much easier to handle.

Overall our stay was nice. The river was the best part of the location. Having kayaks and tubes were a fun touch. The firepit was nice but it would have been better to have seating out for us to enjoy. The home was clean and had what we needed. I would suggest updating the furnishings at some point. They were not the most comfortable and I found it hard to relax while inside. Overall we had a nice stay but for the price would not book again due to lack of comfortability and amenities.

I stayed with my grand daughter. It was an end of summer vacation and to get ready to go back to school. We really liked hearing the running water and playing in it. I would say that if you have a small child you may want to bring a life jacket if you plan to be in the water.
