Riverfront cabin, on a secluded section of the Middle Branch, Pere Marquette

The cabin was delightful. It was very clean with lots of amenities. The beds were comfortable. The view from the cabin to the river was beautiful. It’s a very quiet and private setting but close to stores, etc. We really enjoyed our time here and felt very safe staying at the cabin. The owner was also very nice and easy to communicate with. We’d love to return someday!

This is a wonderful cabin with a phenomenal host. Charles was attentive and kind. The cabin is incredible! Very unique location with fishing available from the back deck. Incredibly comfortable, peaceful and lovely property. Stay here!

Great cabin and property on the PM. Well equipped, clean and very well maintained. We were up for our annual steelhead trip and this was a great location for us and made the trip very enjoyable. Hoping to make it back there in the future.

The place is perfect weekend spot for fishermen. The owner went way out of his way to assist us when a huge windstorm knocked out power for about 6 hours. Drive 90 minutes to set up a generator that powered the whole house. Plus, he offered to ship a charger that inadvertently got left behind. Beautiful spot right on the river that is open during Michigan’s trout season. Planning a return trip next year!

We are from Florida and saw this lovely cabin in Michigan and fantasied about how nice it would be to spend some time in the snow - We were not disappointed and the cabin actually exceeded all of our expectations - Charles was a wonderful host and checked on us to make sure everything was going well with our trip. - Highly recommend this place and will be back...

We really enjoyed our stay for a December Steelhead fishing trip. The property was clean, well equipped, and very comfortable. Awesome views of the Pere Marquette River. Secluded quiet location with close enough proximity to town conveniences. Great responsive information provided by the property owner. I would highly recommend staying at this property.

Host was very pleasant and attentive to see if we needed anything during our stay. Keeps his property nice and has some onsite activities, with a nice fire pit. If you're looking to spend some time in the country with a small group i would recomend.

An amazing cabin on a beautiful river, in a peaceful wooded setting!!! We travel a lot, this beautiful cabin is truly one of the best!!!! We stayed two weeks and wish we could stay two more weeks!! Location is fantastic. Very private yet close enough to groceries and restaurants. The owner is super communicative and helpful. The cabin is so well maintained , super clean and very well stocked. It is such a well thought out that as a renter you will need nothing. From supplies, to amazing fire pit from the deck on the river to the horseshoe pits/ the owner has thought of everything. So comfortable !!!!! We will be back again and again. 10 stars!!

Easy booking, Host was communicative, respectful of our time but available if needed (we did not need anything), cabin is clean and plenty spacious for us. Kitchen is good and island was nice to sit at.

The property, set back from the main roads and on a beautiful stretch of river, is spectacular. The elevated view provides a wide view of the river at it winds along the property. The woods on both sides provided for nice hikes and more opportunities to take in the river. The cabin itself was perfect. Quaint but not small. We enjoyed time around the fire, dinner table, and kitchen island. The separate bunk room was an added bonus and perfect for kids, parents, or both!Really appreciate how thought-out everything was--from the booking to check-in process, to the amenities in the cabin itself. Felt like I had been there a dozen times!

This is a small cabin on a branch of the beautiful Pere Marquette River. The view from the large dining area window is picturesque. The cabin is beautiful inside and provides everything you need -- the best stocked place I've ever stayed at, with a very nice kitchen that has all the cookware and utensils you could want and staples like coffee, cooking oil, spices, tinfoil, laundry soap, etc. The host is an unbelievably nice guy who will do most anything to make sure you have a great stay. I could not recommend this place more highly.

Charles was incredibly helpful and informative. We had a great time and the space was incredibly clean and tidy. Lots of dishes to use and extra linens. Great view of the river, we even saw a muskrat! If arriving at night, it may be difficult to find if you don't stick to the Google Pin! Stick to the Google Pin!

I was thrilled to see fish jumping in the mornings—this spot will be even more incredible during fishing season, and I plan to return with my wife. This is the second year in a row that we were lucky enough to stay at this wonderful place. The host was a great communicator from the beginning until the day we departed. He made sure the accommodations satisfied all of our expectations. We loved everything about The Swinging Fly and can’t wait to go back.

We had a great time. The kitchen sink was limited to use because of a pipe issue which wasn't that big of a deal but I wish it was working. Neighbor stopped by, not the nicest guy. Didn't like cameras on the property but the host was kind and easy to work with. It was a great time and the place was amazing! Thanks for everything.

The cabin itself was stocked and perfect, but what really took the cake was the grounds and the river. Being able to relax with the crystal clear waters right below while playing horse-shoes or having a fire was a great backdrop for myself and friends to catch up. The proximity to town and any river drop points was ideal. Visited Baldwin Canoe and Kayak for a trip as well and had a blast.

This cabin was everything we had hoped for. Secluded, quiet, peaceful, with an abundance of wildlife. We enjoyed birdwatching and floating on the river. The fire pit was amazing. We have been taking these girl trips for the past 10 years that includes three generations of women and this is by far been our favorite. Communication was excellent with Charles.

Well appointed. Everything was in good condition, and clean. Private; no neighbors in sight. Excellent communication with Charlie throughout, including good area recommendations for grocery, dining, activities, etc.

Charles has a first-class rental, the attention to detail was over the top. Very informative, even helped secure kayak permits and gave us some tips on where to go. We like to try different places each year, but I can say this was by far the best place we've been in the last 5 yrs.
