River Run Retreat | Weeki Wachee River Cabin

What a beautiful home! Clean, well stocked and had everything we needed. We kayaked several times and it was amazing! Deer and manatees every day. Sitting on the back porch was just lovely, our kids could swim right off the dock. I do wish we had brought masks in snorkels with us. Tip: kayak toward the state park. It’s upriver so more of a workout but sooo beautiful and peaceful and the water was clear. We went the other direction one day and it was like a highway on the water. We did not receive any check-in information ahead of time, despite reaching out, however, upon arrival, the host was immediately responsive via text and very helpful and everything we need to know about the house was located in a book on the table. Wonderful day, would return and recommend!

Location was perfect for us! We loved kayaking and watching wildlife. Water is beautiful.

Beautiful and exceptionally clean property on an amazing part of the river. Communication with property manager was good until I asked about the possibility of early check-in; then communication was poor (including me having to request the address and check instructions on the day of check-in).

This was one of the best vacations we’ve had! The house was super clean, comfortable, and in a great spot right on the river. We loved kayaking every day…paddling alongside manatees was an unforgettable experience. Perfect mix of fun and relaxation. Would definitely stay here again!

We love this property and have loved staying here a few times in the past. To have a group of 7 middle aged teachers, to gather from different parts of the country to not be able to put a 4 th car in the driveway? I was actually ok with that because we agreed on three. But to be told that a neighbor told them one of us is parked on grass??? Pictures please! This came off creepy and unreasonable . Not to mention that we never parked on the grass for even a second. I have pictures of us not on the grass. We were not disrespectful. There was no harm to house or yard. We were a great group and enjoyed ourselves regardless.

We pulled up to a beautiful yard and house. The house has a warm inviting feel of a well decorated cabin. The spacious deck and patio overlook the crystal clear water of the weeki wachee river. The dock has easy access in and out of the river. They had a nice selection of kayaks and paddleboards. I will be staying here again and again. This was an awesome experience.

Second stay at this house and very happy with our experience. The hosts were quick to respond when our access code didn’t initially work to get us checked in. And that was the only tiny issue. Everything else was great! We love the house and hanging out on the dock right next to the river. We used the kayaks every day and enjoyed seeing wildlife in the park and even just across the river from the dock. We will be back!

Everything was perfect! Complete serenity!

We LOVED staying here. The location on the river was the best part.. but the cleanliness of the cabin, the rustic feel while being updated and having amazing appliances with a fully stocked kitchen, great bathrooms and showers, and comfortable beds. There were great TVs for watching movies after a long day. The kayaks and paddles were great too. I am an avid kayaker and loved their pelican kayaks. There is a beautiful deck where we spent a lot of our time. I loved this home and will definitely be back!

Unfortunately, a hurricane was the reason we were unable to enjoy this property. However, I will say that communication with the host was excellent. We were kept informed of the weather and our options to reschedule. We will plan on a future stay.

House was great as always. Poor communication from property manager. I've been renting this house since 2019. I always leave it cleaner than when I arrived. I left early and didn't stay my last night there because of the impending hurricane and severe weather. I messaged the property manager and advised we left in order to provide them the opportunity to secure the property and items. As usual, I received no response. No acknowledgement, let alone a thank you. It's just disheartening for the property to be as wonderful as it is, but have it managed in this way.

Our whole family of five loved this house. Pictures do not do it justice. The house was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The location on the river was perfect. Loved all the mermaid decor and all the outside seating. We hope to stay again in the future!
